from what I've read it's that Dorn opted to publically air out dirty laundry instead of DMing a warden to handle it, despite having been warned in the past about public naming and shaming
It'd be different if people were rallying against someone being bigoted/incendiary in chat but in this case it seems Dorn was doing a public callout based on stuff that happened in VC and/or outside the server chat channels, which is considered witch-hunting. Again, it makes moderating a shitload easier when stuff is done via DMs, keeping up with Zelchat is hard enough when its calm, let alone in drama mode.
