But in our current context I think Until Death worth it as there ain't anything available as useful as Until Death

I meant that you sometimes can just take Desperation instead of Until Death + Upgrade and have 1 point to spare, but yeah it's not always needed. In my logic in other context I would rather take something that would work on every mission, instead of taking something in case of "shit happens" which roughly may be once in 5-10 games. crits is the one differing factor in the sense that if your wep has a high finesse modifier then piety might make sense, but this basically only changes the bottom part of the build (the keystone).
thats because at the top, second wind is more or less mandatory if you want to call your build optimized. this locks you into throwing knives unless youre willling to take a four point tax on any other path, which is kind of crazy.
then at the middle you have a lock in on until death, which once again is one of the best nodes in the entire game, and also on the fact that only one of your auras is actually any good (and middle tree nodes also suck). up until now there was also lock in on twbs (thy wrath be swift) because of the complete melee + ranged stun immunity, as well as being next to dance of death and good balance. however with thre removal of ranged stun immunity i think its possible to drop a large part of the skill tree now for more free points.
the bottom part of the skill is basically just a choice between the keystone and goes:
ij -> always works basically
martyrdom -> breakpoints and fun
piety -> only if finesse weapon
so all builds are kind of the same build due to it being an optimization problem with harsh constraints
