I think (important word here) that when any stack with a cap is applied, the check is done on the max cap of what ability applies it. So for example blaze trauma has a max stack cap of whatev, but shriek has a much higher cap, so you can max cap with blaze and then shriek to go higher.
But if you shriekd and then blaze trauma, there wont be any extra stacks from blaze
Not that it matters much since by the time you apply so many stacks of whatever their time on Tertium is short

This depends on what the source of brittleness in the code is. Let's say the stack comes from the same piece of code that uses -> 8 stacks of brittleness up to %40 (brittleness-stack), if you use another source that uses the same keyword in the code won't stack it any higher.
But let's say we used Rending Shockwave on trauma staff together with exploit weakness from veteran tree and say they're hitting the same target, because the keywords for the brittleness they apply is different, they actually do stack. This will make it go up to %60 brittleness.
There are (if I remember correctly) 3 different brittleness keywords in the code, so if you mix n match between em they will stack.

brittleness is a debuff on the enemy, has 3 (might be 4) different unique sources, stacks additively if it's different sources until individual keyword stack cap
Bleed is capped at 16, always is. It used to have a 31 cap as well but got hard capped.
Soulblaze is capped at 31 for venting shriek and perilous combustion, 15 for purgatus staff, 6 for blazing spirit blessing. 4 for wildfire. The higher capped source will increase the stacks higher and refresh duration, but lower capped source can't refresh a higher cap burn. (you can't reset 31 stacks with purgatus staff.)
Burn is capped at 31 for gun lugger, 15 for flamethrowers. 12 for infernus blessing. Same principle as soulblaze.
That is pretty much all the sources I can think or rn. hope it helps.

There are only two times where I pick wildfire up over anything else.
1- If I'm making a warp siphon build with %10 chance to gain stack on soulblaze kill. Soulblaze needs to be on the enemy for this to proc, it doesn't have to be the thing that kills the enemy. Wildfire allows me to spread stacks over the enemies faster, giving me more chances to proc that %10.
2- Any type of purg / venting shriek build. Even though 4 stacks seem low af (it is honestly) it is a headstart when you are flaming into the middle of a mixed horde. Keep in mind even without purg staff, that 4 -> 10 stacks with venting shriek interaction is really nice, as there's a huge dmg diff between 6 burn stacks and 10. Just overall time save on stacking so it's worth it imo.
Other than these two, it is practically useless and will never be worth it lol

i think the annoying part about the horde + objectives parts is that at lower difficulty levels u can kill everyone then do the objective so a lot of newer players trying auric for the first time do that. and then they get specials and snipers and gunners and etc. etc. and they cant cope with it since youre actually supposed to do the objective while eliminating enough threats to not die
