at 0%, it deals 53%, at 100%, it deals 99%

since max is 80%, it would be dealing around 90%ish

rending basically fills in the gaps and reduces the damage reductions from armor to bring the damage dealt up to 100%

but if its already nearly there, its not really making much of an impact

itll change the damage from your hit from 600 to 660ish

or whatever

and this is taking a blessing slot, so its in direct competition with high voltage or lightning reflexes

thats even before taking into account that they have to be staggered for it to even work

and you start charging a heavy attack right then

they'll either delay the pounce to come in after your swing

also another interesting thing about dogs i swear ive had server lag before where i input the commands to turn around and push since the sound cue plays, but the dog is already on me by the time i turn. and yet the push suceeds anyway, like the server rolls back and goes "nah he did push it off"

so what really helps me connect mid pounce is dodging backwards and to the side same time

since you're moving back too it takes them longer to connect

and if you're mid-dodge the moment of truth a lot of the time you'll just iframe the pounce

your crosshair, is not a flat 2 dimentional hud element on your GUI

you just don't know this because it's center screen and you have no ability to use depth perception

your crosshair is actually casting out to whatever terrain you eventually contact

and moving in all 3 dimentions while it does so

also not every attack animation is perfectly synced up in third person to how you're used to seeing it in first person

it's still the same swing, with the same swing arc and distance

but the third person animations can be slightly to wildly different for that particular swing

both mauls have a strikedown and a cleave for their heavies, they're just reversed

and the light attacks are mostly single target bonking except for the 1 attack out of the 4 chain that cleaves

attacks after the push attack are flipped on the two mace types as well

the good news is, the agni shock maul's attack combos and swing arcs are identical to the 2h crusher

so if you've used one you're competent with both

indig is H1 cleave next light after that cleaves the other way and resets the combo

I find that opening instead of the other way round gets a lot more use

but the agni has some fuckin fangs with its light strikes

thrust on the shock mauls isn't like chainaxe or dumbdurr hammer where the whole intent is to get beeeeg numbaaaars and leet delete

the stacks will start building a little before the attack animation has started hanging there cuz you're charging a heavy attack

so essentially you're getting a little credit for free

plus, the stacks build very quickly, maybe a quarter second between your first and third

so the best use by far for me is using thrust when you have the opportunity to mid fight

if you get that extra half second of breathing room before you have to hit the next thing in your face, you can hit em 60% harder cuz thrust builds so quickly

you would be very very well served hopping into the psykanium tier 5 for a minute or two and watching your buff bar as you swing

getting the timing for all 3 stacks into your muscle memory can be done in thirty seconds of full attention to the status bar

it's only very slightly slower than releasing as quick as possible, maybe a third to half a second

so it's really organic working that half second into your sense of combat pacing

charging up thrust but still getting the swing off before they do type thing

it's a fun new spin on horde clear

cuz that left right cleave combo I mentioned, with thrust working in on the heavy swing

those mauls can mulch

the light swing in the H/L cleave combo really serves to assplant the stuff your thrust swing didn't cleave enough to get to, or showed up after the swing

and the stun duration on the light swing is longer than 3charging the thrust heavy right after

something that's easy to miss at first regarding the alt attack thrust, each tick of the shock adds a full second of stun time afterwards

so if you only get a tick or two off they'll be recovered same time you are

but if you can leave it in em for the full duration (hur hur sex joke) they'll be completely stunlocked for I think seven seconds afterwards

with the electrocute debuff high voltage needs

with a dot

and every hit you land will lay and proc skullcrusher stacks

even if the attack wouldn't normally even make em flinch

cuz they're already max stunned

you can and should dodge out of any incoming attacks and cancel it early to avoid the damage

just know that thing you stuck will be after you inmmediately
