i have one with deathspitter but im not a fan considering im quick swapping off of it often
the buff doesnt really last long enough in most cases to be worth it for me
plus manstopper cleave is already infinite
so i use scattershot to both suppliment crit chance for when i have less than 3 melee kills before i need to shoot again, and if i wanted to shoot 2x in a row to have a high chance of the second critting

Unless you have a REALLY horrid teamcomp, there's usually a number of tools you have that allow you to control/DoT the Ghouls, or control their damage, or reliably clear off the Stuns

In 2? This isn't the case. Enemies in 2 have bullshit-high resistances to basically every non-DoT effect in the entire game, and have bullshit-high chances to inflict those same effects on YOU to the point of it being like 99% consistency even with the highest augmentation to resist them possible.
In short: 2's a game about just literally shoving larger numbers against your enemies than they are against you.
If you're stunned? Get fucked.
If your Leper gets put to Rank 3/4? Get fucked.

That all being said though, I will give DD2 points for a couple of things.
