from what i understand it's an engine quirk that has do with certain actions preventing inputs of certain kinds as they occur

it happens a lot when i'm sliding i've noticed

attacking and sliding, then sliding while you've just attacked and are mid slide can prevent you often from being able to swap weapons

for me anyways, this is when i notice it most

since i'll slide while shooting into melee range, attempt to swap my weapon, and then input a block

and i'll end up just bracing a weapon or something
