You use lacerate to guarantee you bleed the enemies to boost your already massive crit chance while deliberately avoiding head level attacks is beyond suboptimal to put it politely when at worst one extra swing with the inherent crit chance and piety and whatever else would make the second slice crit anyway if the first didn’t already

Or just guaranteeing you don’t mow down groaners poxwalkers in one swing anyway with weak spots
