You can break out of it with some practice. Easiest way is to just push attack, light, and now you're back at heavy 1. Depending which of the two heavies you are on, its the same.
Heavy 2 will go to light 3, then 4, so you can then heavy 1 again for the loop.
Tbh tho what I've discovered over time is that they are best when light spammed for hordes lol
So while the h1 l4 loop is cathartic it really isn't necessary unless bruisers are in the mix, and even then not really necessary so much as slightly more optimal.

I went back to play HD2 these last couple days and it's really silly how getting killed is mostly just an annoying inconveniece while you wait for someone to pokeball you back into the field.
It doesn't matter if you die. It doesn't even matter if your teammate(s) also die. If everyone gets wiped out by a bad airstrike the game will just drop you all back into the field with four less lives and that's it.
