the mk15 inherently has such massive cleave, that youre already hitting like 10 targets per swing even with a low cleave stat
in fact, on the inspection screen, you can look at the cleave targets stat details and youll understand why that is the only weapon where cleave is the dumpstat
ON TOP OF THAT,
the mk15 has a cleave damage cap of 4
every enemy hit after the 4th in a swing will recieve a grand total of 0 damage
all the hit will do is stagger them
so the only reason to have cleave is to just stagger more things in front of you
but in what situations do you have more than 10 enemies directly in front of you able to take a swing at you lol

ok so im going to be brutally honest and nitpicky, but also explain the reasoning (idk many knives youve rolled so im just gonna explain everything on that one)
the best thing on this knife is the uncanny you put on there, cuz yknow, 100% rending is just good outright
but zealot has much better options than mercy killer, not only does it require an initial hit to proc the bleed on an enemy so you already have to crit them first for that benefit to work (which unless youre using a knife incorrectly and using lacerate to do that 
). a comparable blessing is precognition, which is 60% finesse damage on dodge, which is both weak spot AND crit so it can double up on the damage boost if both happen on a hit, meaning that it can both happen on the first hit easily, and has a higher potential damage
despite the knife being a crit weapon, crit chance is just not a good perk in general, as 4-5% is just too low, thats one more crit every 20 or 25 swings, which is just not worth the perk slot vs a 25% damage boost against common enemy armor types
unarmored honestly is fine, its one of the better perk options out of all of them so i wouldnt complain if i got stuck with it but there are a few that are better
and the finesse on that knife is low, which is where the bulk of your damage is coming from, its really a stat you dont want low. damage, finesse, and first target on knife is basically just damage 1, damage 2, and damage 3, and they all multiply off one another

as for combat tips, your push attack is GOATED, it has the damage profile of a heavy attack but comes out faster at the cost of stamina, which means its both perfect for dps moments where you arent in danger and can just lay into something, or sneaking in some one shots as you are attacking and controlling a group of adds
ragers are especially vunerable to the push attack cuz you can block the moment they hit, them push attack and youll be blocking by the time their next attack hits, so you can make quick work of them as long as you are prepared to dodge away when things get heated
crushers should be no issue with uncanny, just keep stabbing them in the head and keep an eye out for any of the overheads, exact same for maulers

what cole said. Push attack -> light is goated. Heavy spam is goated. Light spam vs hordes mixing in pushes and lots of dodges. the weapon takes a bit of getting used to but once it clicks you become a murder machine hobo goblin.
run around with heavy and just stab things into a push->light or light-> push atk. that combo just ends most elites outside of crushers
best boss dueling weapon in the game IMO
both knifes are good but the III is especially good at it
