ive seen some effective builds with dclaw on it, its possible to one shot crushers if you parry them with chastise, duellist, sustained assault, and momentum stacks, which isnt an unreasonable amout to stack, and that was prior to the chastise nerf also changing it from an armor downgrade to 100% rending, meaning the raw damage you deal with the melee attack is way more impactful now

MKIII shock mauls feels better to me due to

• Light attack can reliably horde clear at high attack speed
• Alternative horde clear with H1 > L2 probably
• Heavies are stricly vertical

Mk1 has shit light attacks, but L1 > H2 loop feels better to execute compared to H1 > L2 loop on MK3

its more that the duration is pretty short
and requires at least 5 attacks to reach that point
so typically unless its a horde, whatever youre swinging at that can be cleaved through enough to hit 5 times
which theyre likely dead by that point
so that effect just doesnt do anything for you
