flamer can burn down hordes that is true, but not just trash mob hordes. Elite/mixed hordes are also good for the flamer. Burning down a boss with a Flamer is also viable.
flamer gets better too if you use chastise/dash ultimate. If you dash just as you were applying burn DOTs against a horde, it'll apply the armor degradation effect to it.

Rolling a knife is tough and will definitely take time.
Just remember that T4 isn't that much stronger than T3 is on most cases. Obviously, roll for whatever, but I'm just saying if you're short on mats- consider buying and trying out other weapons as well.

blessing for Flamer is literally just Blaze Away that will be most impactful. 2nd best wouldve been overpressure if it wasnt still bugged. So just play around with whatever fun 2nd blessing you want. Yes perks will be flak and unyielding
