its not bad but they could probably benefit from TDR and lose out on some toughness gen so it feels less all over the place

Rdr1 I think irs because at that point of time no modern game could give a similar thematic experience of cowboy. The slow mo mechanic was cool since once you hover over it will be at taht point, and it's time limited, so like you always made sure to draw circles so you will get their head, since they don't die from like 1 bodyshot and revolvers take some time to shoot.
Rdr2 was very boring at first but later onI it got very engaging somehow.
Rdr1 wasn't overrated because no one said it was the best funking game. Rdr2 I would say it'd overrated but it's understandable because no other game managed to do what it did: good anims + decent physics + graphics

Chastise is mostly a win-more but can also do some work as the stagger into crit can really stabilise alot of situations
Shroudfield is to save yourself mainly after overextending, boss damage and elite damage is similar to chastise but you get it back less often
