The BR is worse than the base assault rifle. The charge up plasma gun also sucks ass.

The thing literally never ran out of ammo prior to the nerf, now it's a bit more reasonable w/ total damage and still has good ammo econ. The AoE is fine, nerfed yes but you still get multi-kills with it. It's functionally an Eruptor but it hits harder directly (nice for bots since explosions don't hit weakspots), it has twice the DPS, it has more ammo, and the main draws are the lower durable damage and projectile drop.
The Tenderizer is an incredibly small sidegrade to the base Lib. Higher total, .6 less bullets per second. The recoil is nice but that's a lower skill curve thing, otherwise it's functionally the same weapon but uglier.
Purifier is Punisher Plasma but if you want a straight firing shot and more ammo at the cost of going from 80 to 50 rpm. It's fun but boring, could use an actual scaling shot instead of just being an Arc Thrower.
Pummeler is really fun though, the built-in EMS thing + the high stagger brings an interesting sidegrade at the cost of lower durable damage.

The public reasoning was that the 1.5k damage thing was viewed as an exploit, shrapnel was hitting for too much if you could hit right. So, they saw that + the community complaining about ricochets and it actually being Eruptor shrapnel and they removed shrapnel. It sounded like they were trying to put it into the spot that they thought it should be at, then buffing it from that to compensate for the 'exploiting'

Them buffing fire damage three times even though the DoT bug was the problem (a bug the community reported for nearly a month before AH acknowledged it) making hulks one-shot you if they even look at you funny and the spear not even being functioning enough to consider a competitor.
Then there's stuff like the airburst rocket and it makes balance discussions hard with the sheer amount of things that don't function.

mm, with Eruptor I don't think it featured a bug outside of the firerate tech you could do. You could exploit the shrapnel, which was an oversight not a bug. Fire was buffed once by 50%, then nerfed by 15%, then got a stratagem exclusive buff by 25% (currently is at 63 base damage per tick w/ the upgrade, 50 without). I see what you mean though, some weapons have been buggy and showed signs of little playtesting. Spear is thankfully getting a fix soon, making it more accessable to those who don't want to learn the weird tech.

if you like bleed, you might opt for riposte + flesh tearer, as long as you're willing to give up uncanny strike
since the knife has rather disproportionate benefits from crits, one of which is bumping up the good armour damage modifiers that mitigate the need for uncanny strike

It's been a long process. My only motivation was due to some dweeb thinking that Railgun used the 6-8 AP damage ID for unsafe mode and then having incorrect values for random weapons. To this day there are spreadsheets claiming the Flamer does 3 dps (I am not joking).
some undervalue fire too, 50 base 25 durable isn't the per second damage.

Just got this, thinking of swapping out Rev it Up and Melee Damage for Momentum ...
Couple ways you could go with it. For perks, yeah. You can swap Rev It Up to Shred though and get good value out of Wrath if you grab crit CDR (you don't need Blazing Piety), or could grab Rampage for the cleave damage and further cleave for CC (do keep in mind the lights are target capped to 4 targets damaged). Momentum would be a preference pick, ig depends on your build.

Well, you missed it, but at first they forked up and not only it deleted your toughness in a second it also deleted your entire HP pool right after that, in one second too.

I probably have controversial takes on balance but it's like, so funny seeing a guy claim the Dagger performs better than the Explosive Crossbow. Not even a single person, it pops up multiple times. The reason I stumbled across that site you linked was due to the listings of beam weapons igniting enemies (it doesn't), someone was saying that the Dagger was a pocket Flamer.
