From an unbiased perspective I'm gonna guess that the CMs weren't prepped for the success the game got, or that they were panic hires in response to said success. Every mistake getting blasted by 50k+ people immediately with a massive wave that echos through the entire community afterwards is a stressful thing to have looming over your head.

if you're also relying on the hitmarker to tell if you've hit a weakspot, then note that hitmarkers have a weird priority system
if you hit a weakspot (orange hitmarker) and then a bodyshot (white hitmarker) immediately afterwards, the white hitmarker will not show until after the orange hitmarker has fully faded
