There's some small bits and pieces you can do to get it rolling for Maulers. You're using a crit build so you want to hit only body shots on them, even with overheads and especially parries (unless under the effects of armor downgrade, in which specifically the parry and PA would go for a weakspot hit on Maulers). Also baiting parries = giant jumps of DPS that make the Dclaw worth running.
