If you have any meaningful cluster of melee enemies in your face you can just position so the shots hit them most of the time. It's situational but usually it's just kill melee group -> kill ranged group with some exceptions for snipers if they're piling up.

best bet is to just learn all of the tools for dealing with ranged enemies so you can apply them where you need it

it's confusing with the sprint dodging mechanic where it dodges bullets

since you gain stamina when you reach 0% after being hit by the gunner

so you should assume you will dodge bullets again

so you need to recover your movement speed back up, usually by sliding

lets say i did a really big oopsies and in a blind panic i dashed right into a daemonhost and hit it with a fully revved evis crit

getting hit is unavoidable, but you can dodge enough to give yourself room to block the other hits
