Well like the damage isn't all that impressive except for niche spots where explosion damage just fucks so hard due to limb density (GL obliterates competition for that though). AMR hits similar BPs. Though it is nice for the objectives, it's def a swiss army knife.

For vehicles Laser Cannon is the best. Out-sustains rockets if you can hit the vent. AC has high durable damage so it 3 shots tanks to the vent and iirc 4 to the engine but I haven't checked that one.

due to the bug's buggy armor mechanics with their armor hitboxes extending WAY past their visual model
and GL will bounce back at you and rip your body apart

@calm salmon Been testing Bile Titan stuff. Testing against the butt of a BT, if you pop the sacs it's a 4 AV to damage and seems to only factor in direct hits (Plasma does 0 damage afaik, despite being min 4 AP). Means that AC does a little over half of its full damage and GL does 0 due to it having a 0 AP 20 damage direct hit. However you can just go straight lunacy and pop the rear sac, then kill the BT in like 2 seconds with an HMG.
AMR also kills in 2ish mags. Railgun ironically kills faster to the butt than to the head.

The very outside edge of the tail, when looking at it from the back, is AV4.
So you don't actually need to get under the BT, you can just keep running circles around it, or shoot it from behind when its aggroed on a teammate

The way damage interacts with enemy body locations is just. . . really buggy in HD2, which is unfortunate. I get that Arrowhead doesn't just want limbs/heads to be damage modifiers to an overall HP pool, but it really does just lead to incredibly inconsistent outcomes for players.

Make the HMG handle even worse but then have a mount for being prone, up the ammo per mag by a small bit. Statistically the thing is very much balanced, if you can burst and handle the recoil it's perfectly competitive. Probs should have a bit more of an upside than just DPS or damage economy to compensate for how much players hate using it lol.

If I had my hands on it I'd probs drop the 450 rpm or whatever for a semi-auto, (fix the sight cuz hollllllyyyyyy), either bump the damage per shot from 100 to 115/120 (nice bps) or up the ammo per mag to 80 from 75, then add prone interactions + a longer range sight.
But those are mostly all buffs and I don't think it needs them, just letting out my inner fanboy since I like the weapon.
Could also make it have a like 50 damage 2/3 AP explosion added to it.
