like for example the voidstrike staff can get transfer peril, quelling % of peril on headshot
purgatus cannot get that, it quite literally cannot headshot
so those two staves have seperate blessing pools
thats an extreme example but thats why weapon types can share blessings since they share the same pool
and why you cant take headtaker off of a combat axe and put it on a heavy sword
theres also the fact that some of the same blessings blessings actually have different values depending what weapon it is too

Well there's that but there are also cases where weapon pools are bloated pieces of trash. Dclaw has 4 fucking impact blessings and 3 cleave blessings. We do not need that many. In no world should Dclaw have literally the entire Crusher blessing pool.
IAGs have far too many things just all over the place, like why in gods name do Deathsplitter and Fire Frenzy exist when they are the same blessing with different coats of paint.
Then you have the whole argument of power and damage blessings being a tumor on balancing (they are) and that we should just get really interesting mechanical blessings that diversify weapons with a few family tree wide things like crit or applying a dot.
