Puri I don't even know where to start with responding to you here. This comment in particular doesn't really come up, you'd need to be on a flat plane in a specific niche scenario with lack of forethought for it to matter with how the Arc Thrower works, good amount of the time it's solved with moving your crosshair between shots.

As for the bugs it has you can work around all of them, same for the Spear. For the past 20 or whatever games I've used with it the only misfires that come to mind are ones with invisible corpses blocking the shots, all other shots arcing and landing normal. Spear is more finnicky but the main roadblock people have is the relock CD not being communicated, after figuring it out it's a like 5 second commitment max per shot if it's fucky.

If you keep hitting ambient stuff w/ the arcs just like, don't aim at them by looking a bit up. The cone it fires is thin at first so you can easily game it if there's a persistent misarc on debris or whatever you're complaining about hitting.

With the first, it shouldn't have the learning curve but it is learnable. If you groove with it you don't run into much issue. As with Spear it's again something that shouldn't have the issues it has but I've put in effort to make it work and there are absolutely workarounds. Wonderous range coverage and it 1 shots Bile Titans.

One of my team mates was near the wall and I watched him (with no enemies nearby) decide to run away from the (primary) objective and rather than throw the reinforcement pod up the hill and into the bunker, he threw it in the opposite direction, so I couldn't even land inside the walls, meaning I'd have to climb the hill and the walls again.

Seeing this bizarre decision, I (pettily I'll admit) landed my pod on him, ran up to the wall and threw his reinforcement beacon inside the walls.

He got on voice chat and basically said "Well I guess you guys don't want my help then" and quit lmao

Arc Thrower is infinite AP. Light enemies (Scavs, Infantry Bots, etc) are 0-1 usually, medium enemies (hive guards, devastators, brood commanders, etc.) are 0-3. Chargers are 5. Hulks have a 4 AV for the head.

If AP = AV, you do 50% damage, if AP > AV, you do 100% damage, if AP < AV, you do 0% damage.

The most popular guides either show a lack of or incorrect representation of AP and it's so stupid. Like, they show DPS charts and go "breaker is clearly still the best weapon after its nerfs" then forget to mention that it's 2 AP and doing half to 0% damage against 2+ AV enemies

Pick on preference. Ironhelm has better fodder and bruiser clear but can't cleave elites with the special attack. Evis in general handles mixed hordes better and has an equal to better single target profile for Flak and Carapace compared to Thammer's Unyielding focus.

To correct myself: If you're using the mk2's Heavy>Light or Heavy>Light>Light>Light>Heavy combo vs the Mk15's mash mouse 1, you're not going to notice any realistic differences between the two weapons because of their cleave values. They're going to be stopped by roughly the same amount of enemies in a horde. With Savage Sweep and/or Rampage applied on top of this, it's literally unnoticeable because you're looking at 30+ cleave for both weapons.

I'm not so certain on crushers

The high stat ones I get didn't come with a low pen value so I haven't put much time in the seat to test

i personally don't use power output a lot on mine, that empowers the special attack which is useful but mostly for the stagger

I agree, the radius is so small even on heavy hits

You're really never going to stun the room

And the weapon already has an innately good stagger so activating all but guarantees

Plus, no momentum blessing so you're not gunning to hit the entire pack anyway
