I don't use crusher but the damage doesn't seem too different, if you wanted that bump (which I don't see being impactful often if at all) then you could, but unless you're going for elites+something rather than maniac+something then I don't see the point

I ended up with a nice agri that had to keep terrifying barage and so I have been testing it out in matches. I actually dont really mind it with stripped down. If the idea is you are sprinting up to a huge gunline and then unload then it has actually done a lot more for me than hit and run has when I tried that. It makes everything stop shooting you and look away when you kill 1 thing. will suppress reapers, the gunners, and thats all you need really. It will make a noticable difference in the amount of bullets raining down from their position, and as you keep mowing them down they never recover.
Though aside from that one situation its pretty useless. But it does make space better than anything else in that situation I have found. You can slide around killing all of the gunners and do it, but they will still be shooting your teammates or you and possibly getting chip damage in between your slides and stuff. you can just clear stuff really fast with it like that because it makes them hunker down in place or run for cover
When you are a zealot and want to be in the middle of them anyway I can see it having more use than like, a vet whose not right in the middle of the bullshit all the time. But just my 2 cents from playing with it for a bit
It saves your charge for other situations that way. But still playing more with it to decide if its really decent or just less bad than terrible

combat axe has better range than taxe and when you build it right will be oneshotting a lot of things. you can do shred/brutal momentum for the crit build but its not as good as going momentum or martyrdom and headtaker/brutal momentum. With sustained assault and headtaker at max stacks and a halfway decent stat roll and +flak +maniac/unyielding you will be killing almost everything with one light attack and the 2/3 things behind it. Chunks bosses well, does good against cara with chastise, is just an all around solid weapon. but hitting those 1shot breakpoints is pretty big to get the most out of brutal momentum. If you end up close on shotgunners or something then a push attack will get a little damage on a group and your next hit should do the trick.
Its not as reliable for groups of ragers as like, heavy sword can be, since the punishment talent doesn't trigger with it as much as the naturally high cleave weapons, but it will stagger them 1 on 1 pretty well. Using chastise to stagger them after a few hits and then again after a few hits usually deals with them pretty well though.
As far as weaknesses go its a small one compared to the weaknesses that other generalist weapons have. Its kill potential is just insane when you hit the breakpoints. Momentum gives you more mobility and has sustained assault at the top of it, and martyrdom hits the breakpoints easier after a few stacks and the extra attackspeed works great with the weapon since it won't cleave as much as other weapons. But with the atk speed the hordeclear speeds up tremendulously. Mix in a couple push attacks and you can control any horde with it.
Sometimes a heavy attack will kill a scab gunner in 1 hit when it would otherwise take 2 lights. Though its rare that it matters a ton.

Zarona revolver probably pairs best for like, definitive all answers. Braced auto/bolter can still be useful for ranged boss deleting and safer answers to crushers/bulwarks/armor wave and braced autos will do rapid ranged deletion quickly as well up close/answer sudden threats. Zarona revolver will probably complement the most though with the cleave and its instant draw to nail the trapper/dog through the horde/elites. Its meta right now for a reason and its just very fucking good at what it does, and while it wont kill bosses real fast your Caxe will do the job just fine.
Kantreal shotty is a great mention too. Better for martyrdom I think since it doesn't benefit from momentum as much as other things. But having that 2/3 special shot answer to however many bulwarks come running around the corner is nice, and you can do respectable boss dps from afar if you put a few fire shells into it to help out your buddies. 2 fire shots should kill snipers if you wing them with both so the burn ticks them down.
Momentum does fantastic with the braced autos and columnus IAG with the attackspeed and damage increases. Shredder autopistol too really, still think its decent with blaze away inspiring/pinning fire
I know the laspistol is good but cant speak much to it myself. Havent tried it out as much as other stuff.
Flamer is great but really only if you are running fury, and not sure it benefits at all really from momentum for what it does. But I could be wrong there. And youd want throwing knives probably for quick ranged target deletion and the quick pull, same as the bolter since they both take an imperial year to pull out.

Yeah its more a boon for when aiming isn't a huge deal, but dance with death solves a lot of that too. When you are maximizing stacks anyway for it is when you are running up to magdump a boss or crushers or something. Those are easy enough to hit with the extra recoil and you are right up in their face anyway

Thats looking a lot like what I tend to run or was for a long time. if I was doing shred/bromentum then it would be that straight up. For headtaker/bromentum Ill not do piety and instead drop duelist as well to get enough points to go down momentum and just grab inebriates poise. Its a build you can swap heavy sword into as well with just a few swaps, but heavy sword will synergize with crit a lot better and the natural cleave
