It's the best source of Carapace damage the Hswords have. On the IX it's nice with deathblow since you don't have the same heavy sweeps the VI and VII have.

mmm, Knife is a niche weapon rn. Single target focused weapon with high finesse multipliers. Currently that damage competes with Caxe, normally fine but Caxe can actually clear crowds. Chainsword is a generalist that also has like, the best melee fodder and bruiser clear rn so that's a fair statement. I recommend trying a BM Caxe, Deathblow Hsword, Crusher, and Chaxe.

I think rn the only Zealot melee that's in a rough spot is Taxe, doesn't have a niche outside of staggering mutants for free ig. Needs Martyr and BM before it has meaningful performance.

Rashad, Antax, and Achlys are the combat axes.

All three can stagger Mutants with the special attack but you need +impact from talents

Not really, but when i am at low hp which is supposedly my maximum power i feel toughness starved and can't kill enough things fast enough, while my toughness damage reduction is not that high

With Mk IV Chaxe and Martyr you could run a couple things. If you're running 2+ Wound curios grab Bleed for the Emperor. That and some other talents lets you face tank I think it was like 13 Crusher overheads back-to-back. For Toughness, in general with Martyr you just stack TDR. SoC, Vicious Offering, the typical UD/HR combo, Benediction, and either Chorus or Fury give you so much survivability. I think you can even grab Second Wind but I recommend just getting TWBS for hit trading.

In general with Martyr you're relying on chip damage to bring you down, no intentional hits. You get more damage than what Judgement gives you with just 3 stacks of Martyr.

Yeah Judgement Chaxe is pretty safe too

But another thing to note is ime you can kill just about everything in melee range before it's a problem with the Mk IV, even handles Rager clumps. Mk XII does the Rager thing slower but you can also raw 1 shot Crushers with less buffs up than the Mk IV so it evens out. Only issues go to edge cases and chip damage which is nice with Martyr anyway.
