But the knife has some issues with a rager in a mixed horde, so I have the flamer to solve that issue

And the mk3 combat knife is really good at killing elites especially with a quick infiltrate to boost damage, so I keep my throwing knife count up that way

The knife is also kinda not the best weapon to duel a rager and especially a pack, so I usually throw a knife headshot first and then finish with a quick heavy attack

For the Mk II yeah. Wrath can have some stack issues, on paper it's identical to SS but it takes marginally longer to ramp up and can ramp up against stuff you cannot cleave 3 of.

Depends on speed you need to deal with threats. Like all 2h weapons are fine but for dueling pack of ragers or maulers you need some skill anyway. Crusher is fine, because of CC, but it's still long grind.
