I came in to DS1 from stuff like vindictus, xbox ninja gaiden, fighting games in general and like godhand.

A lot of early encounters in ds1 for maybe like first eh, 10ish hours of game progress weren't super hard for me to figure out after maybe like one or two deaths. ranked is meaningless for me in any fighting game. Personally prefer to just build up on my play regardless of whoever I'm up against. Lobby fights tend to be more fulfilling than the ft2 stuff

I prefer the Ironhelm. Mostly out of preference, I like the ragdolls that the H3 offers, the combos it has, and the special attack cleaving chaff. You can usually kill bosses in only 1-3 more hits compared to a Crucis, depends on the build though and what's happening in the moment.
