I like to Build my Eviscerators as a hybrid bossing/hoarding weapon. So I try to get all the cleave out of it with ss and if you wanna boss with it, you need BL and unyielding. Maniacs isn't really needed but my old one needed it to cleave the ragers with one swing. I admit, either Carapace/flak/maniacs with unyielding would still make me happy though.

The primary difference is that the Ironhelm activated swing cleaves and the Crucis activated swing is a nuke that does not cleave. That's why people use the crucis to nuke bosses.

Not exactly. My weapon was a 1/4. It head headtaker 4 and high stats and that's it. So I got thrust 3, now it's 2/4. When I hopefully get a batter hammer I plan to definitely earn the headtaker 4 blessing tho.

After this I gotta refine one of the stats and I got a solid 3/4.

Slap Unyielding on this and I should be good for a while.

you have four stats on weapons, two perks, two blessings
you have two slots that can be modified, and can be any combo
those modified slots can be changed to anything else, any amount of times needed (but will still cost mats)

so you can have a weapon with perfect perks, and you can mess around with any blessings it can have

that said, i tried out an ironhelm a bit earlier and was severely disapointed. it was exceptionally slow and clunky, and struggled with more than one dude.
i had better sucess with a random drop heavy sword, as i could still take out ragers effectively enough

i know it's the delete button weapon, but it feels like you compromise too much

I could show you my build but no part of it except the damage will carry you. It's basically nothing but full gas and minimum survivability. I'm working on 2k hours and can afford to not take mitigations and I can dodge bullets.

also trust me when I say this, the crucis feels a lot worse than the ironhelm. Well, imo. The crucis is basically a single target nuke compared to the ironhelm's more generalist cleave style with a nuke option.

the ogrn shovels are a horde/single attack set that's reversed for light/heavies in the two, and the special attack can one shot crushers

Think of it as the evicerator but sacrificing some crowd clear damage for a nuke option

if that makes sense

still crowd clears well

but not as well as the evicerators

but does far more burst damage on those enemies that need that kinda firepower

imo it's a perfect generalist weapon.
