So let's say you want to move fast, keep momentum up and just have access to more cleave than a knife. You can take a taxe.
Is this the best weapon? No.
Can it be useful if you know how to use it? Yeah.
You can also use it with martyr to alleviate the lack of DMG, compared to a caxe. And still keeping the mobility.
We did the twin hard mode with 2 taxes. Just to have access to better mobility, fast attacks and some stagger .
We also had a bolter. So fuck meta.
