Big fan of helbore for this. Regular lasgun got some decent buffs and can manage a but better with lower crusher counts. Exe Stance is an instant-draw which counteracts the bolter's abysmal draw speed. Las pistol is very fast and great finesse damage but you'll want an auto click mod. Shotguns can hit real hard but it's a bit gimmicky imo, not bad though.

Haven't tried any of the autoguns since the crusher change, they might be in a decent place now.

not much has changed, still the MK6 for push stab combo. I prefer brutal over slaughterer but they're both fine (BM probably is beter)

I guess in theory the MK3 is a bit more viable since there are less crushers but it still doesn't do great on maulers and I don't see much reason to take it.

With the uncanny nerf Powersword is "better" in the sense that it didn't get any weaker and it chunks armor and there are now fewer ways to do that.

They had one brief shining moment where they were buffed and became what many believed to be overpowered and broken for game balance

but it could pull 3.6k+ to 4k+ DPS with a hyper specific build

and it was wonderful for that window where Crushers only had 4k HP

Is normal when you overthink a ton and then you have a gal who is a top surgeon getting conscripted as a field medic. Ended up placed with some catachans to 'toughen' her up and deal with more serious stuff they take. Has a scar from her own niaivete after being near bisected by a 'nid claw trying to do a hero and baiting attention to buy others time to get someone out. They stitched her back up really crudely so it never healed as well as the things she can do. Went months with them before being dumped on another backwater town being fucked over by Nurgle. Shit got to the point a GUO summoning happened, cue holdout of the remains of the military trying and praying for an extract but knowing it'll never come. Only people who even got off were the higher us as we all know. And yes, their commissar fell faster than anyone else. Is how she got her hat. Shot him and stole it. And then you have an absolutely not a Saint showing up to smite said GUO, so it was like... Take the only extract offered by a daemon prince, or just die. Yada Yada, jokes about being a Slaaneshi but not quite jokes. And yes, this is like the TLDR edition of it.

I've had my Vet since beta so I like to head canon she's one of the Moebian 21st originally sent into the bowels of the Hive City by Rannick, and one of the few survivors of those initial recon teams. She ended up imprisoned because she survived but failed to complete her mission. Her squad was one of many meant to probe Hab Dreyko and she kicks herself for her cowardice, not just for leaving her squad behind to their unknown fates and likely deaths, but also for failing to penetrate deep enough to uncover that plague tree. When her squad came upon the monsters and mutants below her fortitude faltered and she fled. It's a guilt that festers in her. If she had stood her ground would she and her squadmates have survived together? Or would she have shared their fate? For the crime of desertion she was made a Reject. Her single hope is that all her time traversing Atoma will give her the slightest shred of a hint to the fate of her old squad. She doesn't deserve to meet their gaze, but she can't rest until she finds out what became of them. Her Moebian 21st armour isn't even her original gear. That was confiscated when she returned and tried for desertion. She took it off a dead Moebian 21st soldier in that tunnel. they were raised by a cadian officer despite not being cadian themselves. their officer was renowned for on-world being a resoruceful tactician. he was a father figure in alot of ways. with the training and lessons given, the both of them would be roped into the mess that nox alpha was. in a summary, my veteran escaped nurgle possession by using their mentor as a scapegoat. They like to think its what he would have wanted them to do. The inquisiton found out about their desertion, and in a sick irony, forced the title of their mentor onto them. to pretend a life and skill that they could never live up to. and during the games mission i like to hc that theres alot of telltale signs theyre not quite cadian. they fight like one, but theyre reckless. they strategize like one but have a massive preference for burning. and most importantly the fixation against nurgle with the strange factor theyre in tertium of all places to be.
they have some lore with my own and others characters but nothing permanent or defining. They have to live with the fact that they are living a life thats not theirs because they were too cowardly to die with their so called parent. it helps fuel and cover the expertise that the original Trench Rat had.
in terms of personality theyre close to cutthroat but cant use their own voice. they use pre recorded vox lines, covered by rannick stating their vocal chords have long been decimated. and in a nice personal addition, their gender is unkown. Trench is known more as a problem solver in emergencies than a constant operative !

Why, no issues with waiting, especially if it's cheaper. Just work on it when you are free because rushing never results in anything good.

one of the artists I follow is constantly asking for money on their kofi and it's a little concerning because they're also doing commissions and selling merch so it feels extreme that whatever they're dealing with is pushing them to beg all the time
