gottem
and if i am not going for an optimal plasma
what's the best standard dump?
thermal if you are poor
if i have 72 in thermal resist and 68 in charge is that still preferable over just doing a thermal dump
dclaw killing things that's scary man
What is special of dclaw? 😮
Was that a parry?
parry
yeah it's the only attack on the dclaw that actually kills things
@gleaming sun
Color me surprise, didn't know we had parries in Darktide, not like that at least
on dclaw and dueling sword
I know what meele I am leveling up next lol
wait
Roger that, Dclaw and Dueling Sword are next ones on the list
Almost nice
Mine has charge rate to 60 I believe
Or was thermal resistance? Can't remember now
u better hope its thermal
time to get a new one
Well fuck, now gotta find a better plasma
I upgraded that one
Imma gonna shoot something
spend three billion dockets on getting a perfect
Just buu a random plasma gun from melk
I'll check later, as I am not home, but I swear is charge rate
I swear by the throne...
So, charge rate -at least- till 69%, roight?
OR
just dump thermal
thermal dump is cheaper, but not as good
significantly cheaper
Time to spent my 50k coins
There he is
yeah i found it earlier
idk
i have a 72 thermal 68 charge now
idk if that beats just dumping themral
should I snag this from the vendor?
Snag it
it has been snagged
I fare just fine with the one I use but I hate the specificity of the spread.
And how often the game just gives me the spread...just swaps the two fucking numbers.
The laser pointer, as I call it
It was a blast going from the Las pistol to the recon
And then I feel stupid having spent all my dabloons on a roll I can honestly do fine without but want just enough to seek it out. And I already got just about everything I want already between nearly every class.
My luck usually isn't like this. Perhaps I am being punished for not fulfilling the game's aquilla tithes for years.
just left a match dude was pissing me off, he made 0 effort to save any teammates that went down
i mean that's still not a godroll, it's 1 off
Listen. You're closer to the jackpot than me.
I got my God roll from Emperor's gift
He treats the faithful
It's not really ideal but the actual ideal roll is annoying
Personally, I'd just look for a thermal dump
Asking here, as I barely know, is that noticeable that 1% difference?
Talking about the plasma 68/69% charge rate and the 71/72% thermal resistance
Just blame any deaths on that 1% difference
well 71 thermal is when u get 8 shots
Fair, fair
Just wanted to understand, it surprises me how a 1% difference is one more shot or not
It's ultimately a rounding thing
Sometimes 71% doesn't actually get you 8 shots, they say 72% because it's guaranteed
I blame the dogs or the trappers
Those are the ones that kill me the most lol
(And myself, why lie)
I hate my stats being odd numbers so I'm taking the 72/68 lol
Im trying to Twins Hard, and have a veteran, but I'm not sure on build. Is a dueling sword+ Plasma with toughness curios going to be good enough?
Usually the plasma and Dueling Sword is like the havoc "meta"
So so far so good I guess?
I followed guides on games lantern and am not totally noobish (juat not great), but we did one run and my arbites just does not output enough damage I think, I was last one standing and got overrun
I still like lasgun the most
I did twins by focusing them with gun ogryn
Have your team mates protect ya
I am not good with ogryn and psyker. Just cant make em work. My vet already has 99% of the stuff I think lol, just minor tweaks unless they require a different build
Yeah go mark vet and you should be fine
Mark vet?
Middle capstone
Yup...that's it my SSD is dying can't even load models :"")
For my curios, should I be dumping everything and just taking 15-17% toughness instead?
69 thermal
a mix of health, toughness and stamina is pretty good
Gotcha, thanks!
I have +16 toughness, +3 stamina and +20% health so I think I'm set
oh yeah
nah, power sword is the meta for veteran
no, even 70/70 split is basically perfect
field improv is a good pick, but besides that any good veteran build should be fine (besides maybe the backline sniping ones)
see pinned guide for reference
Pinned guide here for builds, or in an lfg for karnak twins runs?
what are the recommended stats for bolter pistol?
Ok rule number one
Don't use games lantern 💀
What's blocked?
Outside emotes, I have skulls with 0-4 eyes
Hmmm
I need some place to get an idea of builds from or I always pick garbage lol
Nevermind, checked the pinged guide lol
Yeah I’m learning that now
Ask here or use the pinned
It's also important to know why things are bad or good because sometimes the data being shown is literally incorrect
Thanks Fatshark
Yes, the builds there were a good starting point to not be totally behind my peers, and now that I understand more and more I make the changes I like.
Like why no one uses lasguns
Prayge
Which lasgun?
Because all lasguns are decent
Any of them as a baseline, especially below like 40 on the stat bar. Too ammo inefficient, not enough damage unless punching down
I love all my lasguns
How are lasguns ammo inefficient?
They literally are all the most efficient guns in the game
I love my lasguns, but the helbore, we don't speak about the helbore
Helbore is probably the best gun on Vet in the entire game
I'm not even trolling
They dont use 1 for 1, they have like 54 ammo but at the start a single shot uses like 13 ammo
The ammo efficiency is incredible on Helbore
Aye, I'm just bad at steady aiming with all the chaos going on
It doesn't have middle ground, either you're trash or a god with the helbore 🥲
The reason why lasguns are ammo efficient is because of the talent: shock trooper
Shock Trooper makes it so that when you crit with a lasgun, you don't consume the ammo
Oh, the uh talent right before capstones
The one you can get at level 17 if you beeline
see pinned guide here for build
even without it, some of the lasguns are pretty ammo efficient
ILAS and Helbore are very ammo efficient
ammo inefficient weapons are like boltgun or plasma gun
everything is ammo efficient if u melee enough
Yeah, I was so used to the las guns that going to the bolt gun is a new world
Struggling with ammo
the boltgun is a delete specific cluster or panic button
yeah ammo issues on Vet ussually is because people play Vet like a Psyker
Like. Nothing kills a Crusher conga line quite like a bolter
guide passed 100 ratings btw
I don't agree with this at all
fair enough I'm new to it after recon
current stats
2057 unique visitors, 185 favs, 103 ratings
but it does make annoying groups of scary big objects go away fast
still 4 star
Magdumping bosses, sure
but you dont need to magdump anything else
I am very annoyed by snipers now tho
Well yeah
but they do disappear fast :V
we clearly have different definitions of "big" and "fast"
4 Crushers
if you shoot each crusher two time with 5 stacks of pinning fire, they should bleed out
oh right to be clear am not saying spray :V
Idk i know youre not wrong and they have lots of ammo, just that when I joined before arbites, they left a bad taste in my mouth with how they were not 1-1
what is not 1-1?
Their ammo usage
Arbi has no way to replenish ammo, Vet does
Vet I also think has better range nodes to make Bolt Stronger in most situations, which means less bullets needed
I started before arbites lol
So when arbites launched and just felt better
I was incensed by the infantry lasgun
well then it might just be anecdotal
but regardless, bolt gun is not as ammo efficient as other weapons
ok but where are you getting those 5 stacks ?
one shot should scare everything near the crusher
when people on youtube say "if youre running a weapon specialist build" what does that mean?
tbh tho, please don't waste ammo on crushers 😔
the keystone on the bottom right
rule #2
dont listen to Youtubers 😭
B-but, they make videos all the time, they must know their shite! /s
this fucking one?
what are the perks
i cant be asked to read through and try and find shit in that
It IS a really long list to check lol
CTRL + F
yeah i mean i didnt even realises sections were there until big scrol down
Types the word "gun"
15000 entries
Mfw
Just scroll down and find plasma section
Ez
with rotten armour being around in rotation, is it even worth running db on vet
yes
What melee weapon then
Power Sword
shovel
since i think that's gonna be a requirement for rotten
i dont have a shovel upgraded, and have kinda mixed opinions on it atm?
Shovel mid yeah
agile feels pretty big
ill try swapping it out
i dont think i'm proccing it reliably enough in h40
Ehh, its aigt
I could run like, caxe or taxe I guess? idk if just kraks are enough anti armour though
given how absurd enemy armour numbers are
I wish the falchion was a real weapon
I mean it is, its just mid
hmm i could run a chaxe
I still use it tho
OYT
anything else or just that, and keep 3 kraks with the extra damage
drop OYT for tinkerer
good enough

yeah idk it is
I would drop on your toes or SC
I'm not gonna drop SC in fuckin rotten hav40 LOL
why not?
OYT is better drop here
rotten armor isn't really a "damage" problem it is making sure you have the melee weapons and CC to deal with the crusher hordes
Didn't need his favor for the luck I had before the needed crafting and progression change.
hey which veteran ranged weapon is versatile
check pinned guide lol
Nice
oof bolt pistol huh
Are you adding attack combo for non vet stuff
yea check relic blade section
also i thought this was a vet guide not a stinky zealot guide
no, it just is "guide"
It's more than that
u shud be able to tell pretty easily by going through the intro sections
why would I list soulblaze and chem toxin stats if this was a veteran guide
yeah you right.....reluctant as i am to admit
One thing I'd love is to somehow get everyone working on an enemy spawning guide
new vet buff, unsanctioned psyker
U could make one
Or I drag u in contributor again and u make the sections
I don't code dive though
I just know what things look like
And know how and where things spawn
I know a surge
The fire surge
Retribution spawn
Stuff like that
I probably have all the obj spawns memorized
I also have the debug tool for show where triggers are
I could explain triggers
Going to ask Combine
Fellas, what’s the consensus on the Power Falchion?
Its mediocre
Midchion
a "weapon"
sorry about always pestering you guys with my stupid questions related to veteran
the issues are much more noticeable at higher difficulties
Happy holidays from the trenches!
wow that is relaxing sorta
True sah d:
Auric and Havoc are like the two Difficulties that usually are a Decider of if something is worth it or not
Auric and Havoc scare me
mid at best
u can check the pinned guide for more info
I like it for the difficulties I play on but yeah, it's not great
chainsword is better for what I use it for
Imagine the power sword but you got it from the discount bin at Walmart not from the forges of the adeptus mechanicus
That’s the power falchion
Auric is fine
U can use whatever the fuck u want
today is apparently my day cuz I got me a god roll chainaxe
yoooooooooooo
dude no way, congrats!
inshallah i see better vet builds in pubs -_-

Unfortunately
In darktide
If something is cool it's trash
If something is boring, it's strong
Braced Autos are fun
Brrrrrr
It's trash
Recons are boring
It's strong
Hammer is cool
Dueling Sword is boring
Hammer is bad
it can be both
oh, this was the entire topic of conversation
in any event i would argue dsword is boring because it is strong, which isnt a universal rule
swoocing around like a duelist with a snobby nobleman's saber is a fun aesthetic, or a 'mood' in the parlance
if it sucked and didnt do any damage, some people would still use it
also i laugh when pressing the dodge key with the Mk V one and it moves me to a different zipcode for some reason
Grats
Chat do they know
they think they know
Oh right, as the god emperor wills
what's your issue with the builds?
Is it just me or do the Loose Cannon vet and Agitator zealot talk to each other a lot?
Wonder if there's any sort of implied history between the two
I see people running around with like, weak spot perks, limbsplitter blessings, and so on and so on sniff
So, hopefully by fat shark signal boosting the guide I’ll see at the least better weapon perk/blessing choices on pub vets
Btw the deadshot perk cuts off once you run out of stamina, right?
Ty
Ackshually agri braced is pretty good on scum
i would say all 3 are best on scum
I'm going to hold your right hand pinky while I tell you this
3 cleave goes brrrrt
Hm. Neat.
https://www.reddit.com/r/DarkTide/s/GR5WlHkU0m people still slandering vigis
that grammar tho
Yeah
I'm almost done leveling the bolt pistol and I'm looking at the autoguns, which one do you recommend me to try? 🤔
Inf. "Braced" sucks on vet, better off trying with ganger.
Vigilant is that 3 burst mark one. Also decent if you can aim.
All 3 vigis are fun
Infantry and vigis are good braced are better on scum
Pretty sure scum is better with inf anyway
Scum has perks that specifically benefit from ,,brace,, action
Vraks, yes. Though they have the dual autos for the same but better.
Except reload speed. At least from messing around.
Uzis benefit alot from speedload blessing
The infantry autoguns have more damage
And yet is still better with the other guns
Similiar imo. At least when dumping into pogryns.
Ah youre in the meta is everything canp
Fine
Simply having reduced spread is fine
But the guns are still pretty similar in performance
I like using unique weapons on new classes
Plus iirc the brautos have pretty shit finesse multipliers
Brautos aren’t exactly unique
They both kick equally messy.
i know its out of meta but is there any havoc-viable autogun build u guys can recommend?
Probably just the basic weapon spec build with a power sword lmfao
Gotcha, I'll see for infantry or vigis 🤔
Vig 3, basically same build as plasma gun
Just modify based on the template I have in my guide
which template exactly, the first general template?
There’s 1 section just called veteran build havoc
thx
Vig III + Tac Axe VII is literally just ol reliable for my H40 builds
me and my friend saxton
what the fuck were these two guys doing all game
they both had dueling sword
What classes exactly
Psyker and they somehow Didnt curb stomp everyone in damage
Hotshot lasgun (not hot shot volley lasgun that you see NPCs use in game) is already represented by one of the infantry lasgun marks or helbore lasgun?
Someone said Accatran Mk XII Recon Lasgun is the best fit?
Thought about using infantry autogun, any tips how to run it, I've never used any of the autoguns
I'm lvl 30 on all characters lol, but never used any
Vraks is considered the best
Flak/maniac/unyielding, and Death Spitter and I forget what the other blessing is off the top of my head
dumdum
however it can be made into really good anti gunner gun
realistically use any one of the 3 infantry autoguns imo all 3 are good
agripinna hits hard, colmnus is the middle ground and vraks is basically a smg
agri hits hard, columnus has zero recoil, vraks has the highest dps of any gun in the game
bolter loses out because it has to reload
and then the vraks fires 40 more bullets xd
bolter has higher burst damage, but worse dps
thoughts on recon lasgun in havoc?
pretty good, but usually your build will end up favoring other weapons
especially with the vigilant autoguns being the new king of the "low gun investment" guns
hmm ok
using this with xii lasgun and power sword
wouldn't the left keystone be better
if you have a power sword and kraks what do you need the rending for
also no not for recon lasgun
recon lasgun only benefits from middle keystone
ah ok
it has bad critical and weakspot damage so it doesn't benefit from MMF's massive finesse boost, and it's a fully automatiuc weapon so Weapon Specialist's one guaranteed crit doesn't do much for it
i understand
I prefer power Saber, thing is awesome, I've never cared for the power sword
Power failchion
Newish player here, I'm working on a double barrel shotgun and power sword + weapon specialist build rn I found on YT, but I am failing to see how the double barrel can cleave enough to do meaningful horde clear.
I'm getting enough melee kills to proc the guaranteed shotgun crit for the cleave, but unsure what makes this good enough to take over plasma or recon las.
manstopper blessing = nigh infinite cleave on crit
flechette for bleed stacks on crit
So basically a bleed version of scum's needle pistol?
epic cole has a video showcasing the playstyle
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1TPxeSgUCc
Both one of my favorite builds to play, and one of the best builds in the game (though still super slept on somehow)
Fast paced, versatile, and loads of damage, with even higher damage potential in a good game, all while still requiring you to be engaged so the playstyle is rarely ever dull
Thank you for this, I think I need to see some examples of how it works over a build tree clip
Toxin does way more.
take manstopper flechette on DB
I figured it did
and WS
kill 3 guys with melee -> gurantee crit on DB -> take out DB and shoot, killing at least one enemy
switch back to melee
repeat loop until everything is dead
this is against 50 bruisers lol
you can see how fast the clear is with DB
Ooooo
Thank you, the visual helps a lot
I've been practicing on Damnation and I think I haven't had the time to just sit and check if my cleaves are doing things like this
the manstopper blessing that says it gives "increased cleave" on critical hit is misleading
you see it's actually infinite cleave
Infinite?
yes
infinite
if it does not hit a wall or something that blocks cleave it will go through it
no matter what
it is only stopped by walls, carapace armor, and bulwark shields
So basically a tiny lil railgun
if you want a tiny lil railgun you use the agripinaa combat shotgun
the one with the slug
it has the same blessing
Oooo
those are havoc 40 maulers btw
Is there any reason I would take the DB over the combat shotty?
it has flechette, and better damage anywhere that is not further away than like...7 meters or so
it's better at close range
and killing crowds because of the wide spread+comical damage
Aaaaah okay
I may need to practice getting closer when firing then
Thanks for the info all, very helpful
well double barrel is kinda just
delete a direction kinda gun
you see a bundle of enemies you don't wanna deal with and you just shoot once and they're probably all gonna die
Chat, what are the best blessings and perks for a bolt pistol?
unless they're crushers
depends on the build but typically lethal prox puncture if you're running it as a sidearm/buff stick
lethal proximity (the best part of bolt pistol is not using it), and then puncture (bolt pistol is in desperate need of damage)
Cool, thank u
What about perks tho? Flak/Carapace or Maniacs?
Or like something else entirely?
Yea, flak maniacs I believe
I think it's flak/unarmored
Since it can't kill dreg gunners without it
and +maniacs it still can't one shot specialists so
people run bolt pistol almost exclusively because lethal proximity makes all explosions bigger
which includes shredder grenades for veteran
and kraks also get like a fraction of a meter
Didn't think unarmoured would be one for bolt pistol
Flak feels like the obvious one tho. I'll try maniacs, i'll try unarmoured and see which I prefer. If I have too much trouble with gunners from it then yeah i'll go unarmoured
dreg gunner
but bistol breakpoints suck ass either way
unless you crutch on WS crits
or go full ranged build
I'm just tryna do Comissar larp on Vet so that's why i'm runnin bolt pistol rn, idk if I should pair it with like power sword, power falchion or like chainsword maybe tho
This isn't meant to be like a high tier build, just something for funnsies basically
pswords always good
yeah but like at that point...use the normal bolter?
save yourself the suffering and use laspistol
comissars use those too and it's a way better gun
because bistol gets DA
and has superb mobility
so it's actually quite fun
if you are signing onto gun vet and want mobility you are playing the wrong archetype
you will equip the helbore/bolter be slow as fuck and LIKE IT
oh my goodness gracious
@tall torrent
I do like Laspistol tbh, didn't realise it was better than bolt pistol tho
most things are better than bolt pistol
Crazy
I saw someone make a build with a bolt pistol and chainaxe on gameslantern and immediately thought "nope" tbh
good instinct cuz public GL builds tend to be pretty shit
Is there a way to make like a generalist Vet build where it doesn't really matter too much what weapons I use with it?
Oh wait the pinned one has that kinda thing goin on for it
Cool
Doing a bit of theory crafting, does anyone happen to know the crit value on spearhead boltgun?
Good old Fatshark, ignore Path during the vet rework then put their work on the load screen. Still happy for Path.
Decent
25? 50? any idea?
As in multiplier?
ye like 125 or 150% of original value
Is it possible to get “Make Every Shot Count” with a Spearhead Boltgun? Somehow I am stuck on that penance
Looks like 1.6 for the original.
Boltgun would not be my choice for that penance.
Double barrel or revolver were the old standby.
Ill try that thanks
Just let the team know you're trying for it. Most people are pretty understanding.
marksmans focus or focus target for a spearhead boltgun build
Got it now with the double barrel
on the one hand reload speed
on the other hand a more relevant damage boost
finesse damage boost is pretty good on bolter tho
focus target is better for the bolter as a boss or elite horde destroyer. redirect fire stacks make it hit specialist breakpoints without surgical.
focus target also allows your team to deal more damage to bosses and redirect fire simply gives an all-around damage boost to everyone
marksman's focus only gives ranged finesse boost to you. the bolter is already clunky to use to snipe, and isnt ammo efficient if you want to use it so often
you would already hit the same breakpoints that marksman's focus would give you with focus target, with less point investment into only ranged damage
bolter's primarily a sniper weapon to begin with
on vet
and is pretty ammo efficient as long as you're sniping
and MMF isn't dependant on pinging
it just works
and it gives reload speed (which bolter loves) and one of the best toughness restore talents, tunnel vision
because a sniper bolter build would/should be using ES
if you want to use FT i think there's better weapons for it
though bolter FT is still perfectly good and fine ofc
m youre right
the person asked for a bolter build, not a build that happened to use the bolter
FT's fine too, i just prefer to focus on personal benefits because i only play with pubs
FT is wasted on pubbies
it's basically only good for bosses which you won't have problems with either way when running bolter
Is there a list somewhere to see which damage type is against what enemy?
gameslantern is the best that I've found.
theres only like 10 enemies or soemthing
Yes im new player I dont know which one is maniac or infested etc
Thank you
this chats for veteran players not new
And then another question, for the chainsword: the Shred blessing, it says chained hit. What is a chained hit? Is it when I turn the special on? The chainsaw? Or is it a series of hits so a chained hit sequence?
chained hit means repeated hits
Consectutive hits without missing
Ah okay perfect thanks
Let's be honest, this is one of the few populated and helpful chats. 😃
i like stam myself for one of them because it makes rezzing a bit easier
or it did, i havent seriously studied it since the stam rework
most weapons want damage for breakpoints
i should say i use psword where i generally never struggle with damage in the first place outside of maybe crushers
Im new to the game and reaching level 23, does the weapon level matter at all?
Yeah i have 100,000 money by now
weapon level determines how far you can upgrade weapons
I have weapons with 360 level and such but im guessing for now it dont matter
nah not until max level bcuz u cant even get fully upgraded weapons yet anyway iirc
So just keep playing with whatever i like then
while leveling try new weapons
and only try to get a perfect roll weapon when max level
Yeah i already tried every weapon for veteran, i like the 8 round boltgun that just makes people disappear with one shot
Same goes for curios, you won't see 410-430 rated until level 30 generally.
How do you even try this
go to brunt, roll grey weapons until you roll one with the dump stat being at 60%
what's the best gun for a special/elite focused sniper type build?
similar to what handgun kruber does in vermintide
(second weapon category in brunt's where you can pick the weapon style, not the random weapons that change every 30 minutes)
Helbore if you have good reflexes and don't hate the charge mechanic.
Oh so thats what the guides and videos refer to when talking about dump stat
Las rifle, recon las fun, las pistol, helbore, vigilant autogun, revolver, bolter, plasma
Weapon stats can only total 380, this is 4 80's and 1 60. the 60 is the dump, the stat with least importance
Bath's guide in the pinned comments will give you the dump stat for each weapon variety.
Im guessing if i want that gold shine on the weapon equipment screen i need to take that grey weapon and level it up all the way
helbore is 1:1 closest to what you're asking for
best
lists all guns

it also happens to be one of the best guns for MMF period
ammo/cleave/utility/speed
what's mmf
marksman's focus
Boltgun my beloved
Left tree keystone.
the one that's all about shooting good
i use it with recon and it kicks serious ass, but helbore is technically better
Recon is pretty good, i like it more than las gun
im a recon truther, i never use anything else unless i have to do a melee build or im leveling masteries
Helbore is probably the closest thing to a skill expression ranged weapon in the vet tree, but everything rewards weakspot hits to one degree or another.
once u unlock ur 8th chakra about range and height you can just park your recon at that level and the spread will guarantee weakspot hits
6c my beloved.
a horde of groaners is basically just a pinata that gives me 15 mmf stacks
and then i delete crushers after
the only thing i really don't do super well is bosses, so i make myself more useful by wiping out the adds that show up with them
let the zealot with his goofy thammer build 2shot the boss
running infernus on it, or something else?
infernus, onslaught, dum-dum
ik people swear onslaught is a meme but u just gotta know what it helps with and what's better to switch to krak with
gotcha, should be okay boss damage... there's just a lot of ludicrious boss damage out there right now
i think the problem is that unlike in other cases you don't really have any way to build MMF stacks against a boss
and thats where i notice recon goes from good to insane
onslaught got a lot easier to reach post rework, most of the hate is what you had to give up to reach it pre-rework
pre-rework was also pre-HP buff funny enough, where i actually could just recon against anything
now ironically even though its technically more efficient i had to give up shredders for krak
cuz it is a meme
see what i mean?
I just got a 60% mobility lasrecon, should I upgrade it or is there anything else I should be looking for
that's fine but collat's the best dump
doesn't matter though
onslaught only meaningfully helps against crushers, and requires you to use mk 12 (honestly the worst version of the recon las)
i see a lot of benefit from it in general against other elites like ragers
if you're hitting nothing but the body and you're not running infernus, then sure... but why would you ever do that?
Mk XIV propaganda
I say as though I didn't literally use the Mk XIV recon lasgun as an argument for why pickpocket is not the reason behind gun scum being too strong xd
i would take the XIV over XII
Like I used it because it's such an everything gun
And can easily run deadshot just by unga bunga shooting everything
i feel like deadshot is mandatory on XIV
if you're not going to run deadshot, just run VI
yea ik
I reached out to them to put it on launcher lol
What can proc it ooc
Cause i tried with a few weapons and it feels like the best proccy is reconlas
naturally recons gonna be the best at proccing it due to its rof
is there such a thing as a build that makes the brauto melt crushers ? i have some vague memory of hearing about that but it was ages ago
It probably exists in the really impractical realm
Onslaught is involved 100%
Then idk
Bank on Crits and MMF
And red nodes
well and also the limited scope of weapons it's good with
hey lads, what should be the dump stat on the plasma gun
Can anyone recommend a good lasgun sharpshooter build 😅
yea that much is certain. this was like waaay before i made a vet so idk if it was ever a srs possibility. i kinda wanna try to make something like it tho
71 charge, 69 thermal
if you are poor do 60% thermal
and also the limited scope of enemies it's good for
so there are a hell of a lot of caveats for onslaught's effectiveness
Do not the helbore.
Path after releasing the Vet guide:
plasma is not best in slot
and yes revolver can be run on vet
its really fun
I use it with exstance and shovel
could you tell me what i should do for a good revolver ?
also if plasma is not then what is for ranged ?
The guide in pins have every little detail you'll need
Helbore, agri shotgun
and more
just depends on what you need
there really isnt a "best"
shotguns ?
why is it? they've always been good
the slug on the combatshot gun is insane
so to know shotties are back is kinda weird
I probably have a video somewhere of me using it
also the steam community guide link isn't working for me
i need to look into some more vet setups tbh
are you on pc?
ye
how would you feel about chaxe and db for hav40?
hmm, nah prob not
getting a shotgun and running psword shotgun sounds nice though
sounds fun, Chaxe can be built for single target
and weapon specialist DB is always fun
yeah
im concerned about rotten armour
im kinda shit with the psword though
and mixed feelings on shovel
theyre both still good
Shovel is nice
Shovel is stupid
It is literaly a shovel but it can have the blessing that gives 125% rendering
so with a shovel you can kill crushers like if they aren't even wearing armor
when the strike is uncanny
The MK1 (the only one that doesn't fold) has a special attack that makes literaly anything drop to the ground in 1 hit to the head btw

the dueling sword is better to kill single targets aka elite, but the shovel hit like armor doesn't exist while also beeing very good against hordes
It's mid tier
So uh
Half full glass
Or
Half empty glass
Make your choice
Looks strong to me, though. Are others weapons just that much better ?
Yeah
wait which shovel is the one that does both ?
and also the guide doesn't work lol
7 and 3 are folding, and more focused on single target
1 is more versatile
im not sure what id want out of a shovel ngl
maybe i do just give chainaxe a go
i could also try caxe but idk how that'll perform into armour
i have used it a fair bit
i think i just need to play with the psword a bunch
and get better with it too
i always end up eating hits vs hordes
Combat Axe is pretty simple
yeah ive used them a lot
Heavy Attack for Carapace and Unyielding
Light everything else

The occasional push attack light light for Ragers
yep
me everytime I use hellbore
me after hitting every explosive barrel, killing every teammate
congrats
Shiteran
Shitker
Shillot
Shitgryn
Shitbites
Shitscum
played since launch btw
is serrated blade good for power sword or should i pick field improv
Serrated Blade pairs well with Sunder on power sword
thanks
im using this build but with power sword, what do you guys think of it? https://darktide.gameslantern.com/builds/9ffcb49f-4d5f-4685-9027-44f84f0d6b5e/plasma-gun-veteran-current
Serrated blade? On dueling sword?
Oh
This fine for play swappery style with plasma and ps
Could have reload every horde/action break
3.3% wont load fully but steadily drain plasma very slow. And ps is slow mobility would rely on sliding a lot
what node is that?
No i meant like whenever Theres break between fight you reload to prepare fully
ooh
Unless you shoot a lot plasma ammo
willow
this is vet chat
the accident was 10 years ago
it wasnt your fault
10 year ago was it a promise?
Its alright mainly cause it has Uncanny which does heavy lifting
looking for a fun melee weapon to pair with infantry las (mk7)
mk1 = decent
mk3 = nukes them
mk7 = somewhere in between the two
i keep hoping one day theyll put the cadian armors for vet back in the shop
If I wanted to go mobility combat knife what should my dump stat be?
And what mark should I use?
Hmm. What melee weapon clears poxwalker crowds most effectively? (Havoc oriented)
Still mobility
Tac Axe
Smoke Grenade
ya know why cant we vets be able reload while sprinting?
i've not tried it yet, but there's a revolver blessing that lets you shoot while sprinting, does it also allow reloading?
also, the other classes can do that?
You can slide quell, IDK slide reload.
Can i axe you a question
What melee goes best with revolver? I'm using a devil's claw sword rn because it has the crowd control keyword and +10% infested damage
i got a blue axe recently but it seems like a single-target anti-armor thing and i already have the revolver for that
Power sword, combat or tac axe, knife or DS, all strong options
Axes have strong clear once you put brutal momentum on them
i forgot what level i am, but it's a single-digit level. no power sword
If you're single digit level then just play the game, you can be concerned with weapons once you can actually afford them
k thanks makes sense
there's so much to learn and unlock. this is precisely why i refuse to play tf2, there's decades of sweat to contend with and it's pvp too
I would recommend checking the pins for some guides to help, each class chat tends to have some useful info in the pins. Kuli's guides are also great and give lots of supplementary info
What chainsword Mark and Blessings are best to kill Crushers?
Are there any Catachan themed skins at Comodore's?
never were
closest thing was armageddon ork hunters

I'm on the fence about the one that's currently in the cycle, the one's that look like tank crew with the wires and all
Olive and tan colors
Neither is good at it
I did like the brand new one this year, with the dominant maroon colors and spiky motif, I got them for each of the 4 base classes
Yeah strongly agree with this one.
I did like the Elucidian Starstriders one a few cycles ago, but my ass was too unemployed that time.
There's one I really like for the veteran though, the one where the lore is that the guy is just collecting Cadian memorabilia
Unfortunately there’s only ever been 1 good veteran upper body cosmetic released (that doesn’t run into any major issue)
This one
And it’s the rogue trader upper body
Ooh which one is this?
This is the 1 singular veteran upper body that doesn’t run into major issues
Oh the pirate looking one, I confused it for the one that had a bluish grey color. That one wasn't rogue trader, it was some noble house.
Arms don’t break (as visibly) in first person animations
Clipping between trinkets on armor is tolerable
Doesn’t render weirdly with holes in clothing beyond 5m
Somehow this is a really high bar to match for vet upper body
I guess I understand how upset you get with clipping though.
A major reason why I dislike armors and syandanas in Warframe lmao
I tolerate clipping where it’s not clipping all the time
If it only clips with specific animations it’s like, fine, I’ll let it pass
But the other 2 are the bigger issues
Most cosmetics don’t render arm enough
And the game renders every character at lower detail beyond a few meters (which makes some cosmetics just have holes in it or have other weird artifacts)
Did the commodore ventures get updated?
no
Do we have any upper body cosmetic that matches this Krieg officer?
Lookwise?
yup
Can this work? or is too much?
i vote no
so this is about the best you could do prob
am I blind? There used to be a hammer for the emperor guide as a document but I can't find it D:
I dont have the helmet! 😭
yeah krieg cosmetics suck anyways I don't blame you
the blue coat is the only good cosmetic that entire guard regiment will ever produce for this game
and it probably ain't ever comin' back
Happy Holidays to all the Vets!
What do yall use as a dump stat on the plasma gun?
The goal is 8 uncharged shots before thermals throttling.
Pain in the butt to craft. Max it before you customize blessings in case the stat distribution shifts when it's empowered.
what does range strength finesse do?
where are you seeing this? 🤔
finesse and strength are two different things
how good is the plasguns ammo economy in havoc? it feels pretty tight
but strength as well right?
very small pickups and not really much ammo back from armour
that is a weird description. pretty sure it's just finesse
wtf
what they're trying to say is just ranged finesse
ranged finesse amount?
don't get me wrong, still a substantial buff
but it's finesse, not strength
would be insane if it was both finesse and strength
i just started so i have no clue of what it used to be

what do you guys do against the chaos spawn with a power sword? i am sitting in a psychanium trying to 1v1 it and i just lose
Are you using the lag mod?
no
wouldnt lag be worse
i have like 130 ping or smth
certain attacks you cant dodge with no lag comp
but with lag you do
I can get a clip real quick
with 88 ping
ty
also
dodge like this
here is with 0 ping
the tumble forward attack has an easier time hitting me
its hard to exactly tell
but being around 60-90 ping helps the most
im using combat axe with brutal momentum and headtaker, but it seems pretty underwhelming into both hordes as well as carapace
maybe I am not really understanding the differnce between the different marks and when to use what
but tactical axe just seems much better?
what mark for Combat?
mk5 antax mostly, but ive experimented with the others too
for perks im using 25% to carapace and 10% to elite
whats the main difference between the marks? Other than the swing patterns ofc
Im using antax to great succes on vet
Rashad is fine
I simply like antax more for its special action
Why is never coming back? How come, it was a special promotion or something?
Rashad beats the other two by a country mile that's the biggest difference
unarmored is mandatory
unarmored cara
Unarmored Deez
pretty sure it's not actually that high
no, that's sadly legit, got a bug
something has to do with activating it at the same moment when pox burster bombs you
not only i got this cooldown, but it started counting "down" deeper in negative numbers
death fixed this tho
power sword and power falchion good for melee vet?
Psword is objectively better yeah
im a firm believer that the more you enjoy the weapon the better you play with it
follow ur heart bro@charred halo
Does the brittleness perk on the boltgun and the brittleness from onslaught stack? Not using either i am just curious
false alarm, it's just an UI bug
unless it's some ultra garbage weapon like shredder gun
but i agree in general
sword is the best melee weap in the game. it's always better.
hey, which heavy eviscerator mark is better?
I like how you post that in vet chat
yeah because zealot chat is.. different
I prefer the original for it's attack pattern but I couldnt tell you which is definitively better
im just a partime Z
you say that, general chat seems more cursed
thats why im in vet chat 🙂
I like the mk2, but I've heard MK15 is better at single target I'm unsure havent looked much into it despite my own enjoyment
hm yeah. just that 15 has a silly PA
it's sort of preference but imo mk3 has a better moveset
it's a bit more complex though
Ironically I enjoy the 15 just for that
Lights are sweeping attacks, heavies are overheads, PA is a stab, simple
But that's the funny thing with choices
Ultimately both are good and have good skill expression
DB shotgun sucks on vet i think
