#veteran-class

It has access to perfect strike so it'll just perform well at havocs mass
All I can say is that the second hand opinions I get on 15 are very divisive
Also being able to reach 9k carapace damage
People either seem to love it or hate it
And eating through voidshields
And hurting monstrosities
I'd say it's a solid weapon
It’s a very simple weapon that unfortunately lacks in mixed horde
Which is bad cause mixed horde melee is important, imo anyway
But at the same time
2k hours of Evis15
yup. biggest pain point of it is when i encounter anything heavier than the little armored dudes
the armored groaners
Biased biased biased
I can just get bored with it due to the moveset but it's a very solid weapon. Nowhere near a slouch of an option imo and experience.
Ill try it again
higui thoughts on chain axe
Regrettably ive never loved zealot
Solid single target
Not very nimble
Not the greatest horde performance
Would recommend
It’s good at horde
It’s just not good at mixed horde
are there any particular meta perks/blessings for Power Falchion
What gun do you personally run with it?
Except it's light attacks so the horde ain't just hording
i just saw a vet melee a poxburster
Cranial wrath. Cara unyielding
Unyielding
Carapace
Cranial grounding
Energy leakage / wrath
I'm on a shotgun binge rn
Me in every game for the last decade of my life
Flamer is nice, boltgun is reliable, bolt pistol is fine, revolver is fine, infantry autogun sure.
Pretty much all the already solid choices that zealot can use flexibly.
Haven't done shotgun with it in a very long time but I could see it working.
hive ganger, arbeites, vet, psyker, ultimate shit talk each other squad
If you're only talking about havoc 40 I wouldn't know.
Idc about tiers I'm just speaking generally. And yeah revolver is pretty safe as a strong option.
Isnt revolver kinda like plasma where you gotta build around it for high level?
The original question was more for zealot than veteran.
As Evis15 doesn't really have multiple Ragers stagger, a shotgun is a good Maniacs remover
Tbh everytime zealots give me gun recs it feels like "use whatever you want"
Ah on zealot yeah its great
Thats because zealots focus is on melee
Wdym for high lvl
High level as in havoc/auric
Its gonna be like, wine pairings tho I assume.
It’s just strong in general
Was bad for havoc
But now that vet actually gets good damage talents
Zealot does not really care too much WHAT they run so long as it complements their playstyle
I'd say it's a bit of the rub of the class. As long as the gun isn't like totally eh or worse without ranged talents from other classes, you can use a lot of the guns it has more similarly to the flow of vt2 since your movement and melee are the main meat of your builds.
Revolver is good all around
Evis is pretty much a generalist so you don't need to compensate for it with your ranged
Although it isn't nimble, so bring something fast
Laspistol
SAP
Rev
Wine pairing is not a bad comparison
An example is like using the bolter on zealot. Can you use it to drop smaller targets that matter? 100%
Do you want to do it as liberally as maybe a veteran? Probably not since you can't exactly guarantee that ammo health the same way.
Will both classes like using it to mag dump big targets or headshot elites? Absolutely.
Ammo economy isn't great tbh. I wouldn't call it S tier. But it is good.
Bring autopistol to deal with ragers
And it’s prob enough
I like the double barrel on zealot
Very fun to jam both barrels in the face of a problematic elite and send them to space
I feel like double barrel too inconventient to use without weapon spec to instantly reload it
You'd probably love double barrel on vet then.
Theres a blessing for massive reload speed for emptying both barrels
Turns it into the super shotgun from doom, s'great
Idk, I play every character like that tbh
Darktide is built on a melee game
yeah its kinda bad without the guaranteed crit and the insta reload
id rather use the arby shotty over it
yo whats the best build for veteran besides dueling sword plasma gun brainrot?
InfLas and Shovel
double barrel shovel weapon specialist
yeah i tried that but holy you have to either be insanely precise or i am dogwater at it
my shotgun is only at 320 so gonna try upgrading it and see how it turns out
What mode
havoc 30+
Ive seen Helbore on H40's tho it requires you to be hella accurate imo
Are you using man stopper and flechette
just put it on and grinding diamantine on auric to upgrade it
Melee, best is power sword VI
Ranged, vet has many good options
Helbore, plasma sword, krak grenades
Psword is alright but i dont like having to yank its crank every 3 swings like its No More Heroes
think of it as a faulty lawnmower
Can confirm. Have done havoc 40's with helbore. The first room you're clearing it like John Wick
Next room you're waffling so hard you contemplate handing over your havoc license
Trench fighter drills does make it a bit more bearable
manstopper flechette combat shotgun on bp zealot or manstopper scattershot
I just use the InfLas because i can aim but i cant click heads, so i click necks and if they hit the head they die
Not the mk12, but also not the literal flashlight mark
I did the longbomb penance by accident
ty guys
hi I don't know much about the game, just wondering if the recon lasgun is worth putting mastery exp into I've been really liking it in uprising and malice so far.
Would you guys say that Mortis Trials maps would be better for trying to get the Lomg Bomb penance
yep
mortis trials enemy health increase means shredders won't kill poxboys with bleed
Weapon spec double barrel :)
its the new energy sword good?
falchion is meh
I'm guessing I missed the cosmetics that make vet look like a witch hunter.
that is correct
Worth it

Thank you fellas
All the lasguns are pretty bitchin' if I'm honest.
Ilas exists
So the recon las isn't the Kasrkin gun I thought it was?! Will we ever get that hotshot las?
Who knows
Prolly not
damn we really are rejects lol
At this point am just hoping they at least buff infantry las
fair
I wanna use it it higher difficulties since I barely go below aurics since unlocking it
people yell at me when I use it lol
no, recon is used by elysian drop troopers
maybe we'll get some sort of hotshot later on
I love how many varied weapons the guard rock
Need more guns
I’d love a burst fire lasgun but idk what niche that would fill
Just want something like this
Idk how they’d handle the backpack
I think someone mentioned like a suppression-esque type Vet with like an lmg, seemed like a neato idea
Just override whatever you're wearing back there
Then once you swap to your melee it disappears

Real profesh
We have hammer space
yup
luckily since the recent rework to hallowette's slop shop they'll probably be back sooner than expected
I dunno handwave it away like all the other ammo we're apparently carrying
TEN infantry autogun mags and your veteran is wearing a sleeveless shirt and patrol pants
psykers aren't the only ones with warp powers...
where tf do they fit the brauto mags
carrying over 1000 rounds of ammunition even if it's the shitty bullets the Graia shoots is NOT light
up their buttcheeks
Hammerspace am telling ya
didnt some solar auxilia or voidsman have a hotshot with a magazine
imperial navy have man-portable miniguns :)
What's the perks for power falchion?
what combat knife do yall like and what blessings?
New iLasgun Mark's
And a buff to accompany

cara unyielding
Mk6
Any variation of Uncanny Strike riposte and precognition
Havoc has made the 2 perks universal 😔
Wait people actually play without plasma and duelling sword? 😮
WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWWO
omg wow
WHAAAAT
WOOOOOOOOOOW
Im playing combat shotgun power sword
Id rather use my infantry las but I wont bring to h40
Its probably more enjoyable to crawl through 10 miles of broken glass than to attempt using the ilas in havoc currently
darktide youtube brainrot claims another soul 😭
dueling sword plasma overrated
That was sarcasm. I do love playing plasma from time to time just to see my name on the top left of the screen
don't need plasma for that
idk my plasma tends to be pretty hot
weak sauce plasmer u have
i think hadron doesn't like me very much
krak is meta over frag in high havocs still right
in rotten armor yes
I've never brought plasma to havoc
thoughts on uncanny/mercy killer?
mercy killer too since serrated blade is a common choice now
i feel serrated blade is a complete waste unless synergizing with stuff like mercy killer
man the latency is so bad this week
flesh tearer good with serrated
yeah i've decided i just cannot play this game until this settles
it's so bad
the worst thing about the latency is that it's not even consistent either
it fluctuates. goes from instant feedback to over a full second
lol was thinking about getting on... maybe not
its okay, i think you get more mileage with mercy
i think mercy's better with mk3 than mk6 if i'll be real
why so?
because the strikedown stabs have huge weakspot multipliers that benefit a lot from the 60% weakspot damage
it's barely higher than sweeps
oh the push?
how
because mercy killer just isn't that good
because it makes the bleed significantly more consistent
flesh is instant 10 bleed on crit hit with serrated
since forever
just couldn't really use serrated with flesh regularly
8 from flesh. 2 from serrated
flesh 8, serrated 2
on top of the hits that don't crit so there's never any downtime for the stacks to decay even when you're not at full reciprocity stacks
idk why people don't realize how strong that actually is
so serrated with uncanny/flesh and carapace/crit chance?
because it makes it really good for single target and because bleed ignores cleave distribution, it's also a decent option for horde clear
my god why did this not occur to me sooner like when you were talking about it way before this moment
is this sarcasm cause i cant tell
it's almost like my propaganda isn't baseless...
god looking at knife blessings
it'd be so funny if haymaker instant kills ignored enemy hit mass
unyielding over crit chance
theoretically brutal momentum an entire horde
not how it works
fuckin' hell okay
ignore mass != pass previous target's dmg
whoa hold up
link to that mod you got on the hud that gives you distance on the target
give
uh...mod?
psykhanium does that by default???
"2m - crusher"
yeah
thats not on my fuckin game what
yeah I'm like 90% certain this is a vanilla feature
average darktide servers
pings tell you the distance of the enemy if you look at them
crazy if that's not a vanilla feature lol
no it is base game feature
well i sure aint got it
love the quick revolver quick taps
this is how u use this thing
death to surgical!!
I think its PC only
I keep surgical on it tho
ok i reset my hud and its actually there now
lol u modded it out
i know its good i just hate how it works
maybe by accident cause i did have a lot of hud mods before, including rangefinder
surgical is good for shooting gunners and reapers from afar
but for hybrid, point blank is better
its good i just hate that its on a revovler lmao
i wanna QUICKDRAW this thing and shoot instantly
How does one survive not getting kicked or at least surviving through havoc
it has a giant ass hitbox to make shooting fast ez
surgical feels like something you'd put on a giant ass sniper rifle
where u actually need to aim for a bit
You can put it on helbore
buddy
kickback has surgical
wtf
don't take it seriously lol
Basically a sniper rifle
the talent of all time
so uhhh lets put the talent where u need to carefully aim on weapons with hitboxes the size of yo momma
by having a combined total level of about 1500 across all classes and the poxbreaker title
also the pre-order frame, and moebian 21st insignia
the game was rigged from the start if you have none of these things to ease the minds of insecure morons
what mark/perks/blessing do yall like for tac axe
rn my tac is mk6/carapace-flak/headtaker-BM
atrox mkIv bro
is there any reason for running the antax axe over the rashad?
speed
that's mk4...
oh misread
Iv is 4
shits and giggles i guess
VII is 7
special atk for stagger
and the push atk does slightly more cleave
but
dmg is worse
and heavy atks are much slower
heavy 1 somehow missing every target i actually want to kill
also can't cancel L1 into push atk
it's funny on arbi
smaller axe has more cleave like what the fuck
they're both combat axe
is rashads bis perk/blessing still capace-flak/bm-headtaker
tac axe is dif weapon than combat axe
unarmored carapace
unarmored for rashad??? WHY?
they got armor wym
im fairly certain my rashad passes their headshot breakpoint without unarmored and only a couple stacks of headtaker
also, gonna crash out if we dont get fucking tempestus scion helmet alt colors like red and black'
you'll need unarmored if you want to consistently hit the breakpoint
no
it's just
kind of a pain in the ass to have to maintain skirmisher + EW
just to be able to BM these guys
EW?
exploit weakness
yeah hence the consistently part
they really need to just have all buffs that add stacks decay 1 stack at a time
Okay question so I just got back to playing darktide after a month or two and suddenly everyone is a scroob in my auric games
Either they're a noob or I got washed
What's happening
Was there like a sale or something that just happened
class announcement best guess
When was the last patch you played on?
okay this serrated blade shit goes wild
serrated blade knife, double barrel, shredder grenades+grenadier
blood wizard whose specialization is in removing blood from the enemy
yeah bleedmaxxing is very funny
bleedmaxxing is strong as hell now
The one with the massive skill tree rework
for vet psker and zealot
also when the DS got "nerfed"
I'm also using infiltrate for EVEN MORE bleed damage
this is normal
the setup
ngl I kinda want to take CK + O4B/OYT just for stalker spam
tuff decision
yeah I was tempted to do that instead of double stealth
but I like my +30% damage uptime
or I could drop stam delay for it
but doing that removes grenadier for krak
the majority of people who are cracked at the game left to do havocs
there is no reason to play aurics anymore once you max out on resources
uh yeah here's my reasons for playing aurics and not havocs
- Queueing with randoms is annoying
- Stimms
- I don't like the limited map pool
- Bad randoms in Havoc are so much worse than auric bad randoms because they're convinced they're good
- STIMMS
Did they say if there will be balance changes in the new class patch?
Be a bit weird if there wasn't
God willing it will nerf Psyker, Rumbler, and Power Sword
no, so don't expect anything
rumbler and power sword are really not as strong as you think
both have glaring weaknesses to their strengths
you see glaring weaknesses
I see slight inconveniences
That do nothing to hold them back from being competition for the best melee/ranged weapon in the game
rumbler for one sucks at anything that isn't ogryns, if youre going for gunners or armor it doesnt do anything
power sword has one of the worst mobillity stats in the game along with the power mechanic
are you trolling?
wtf
because this sounds like ragebait
there is zero way you genuinely believe that if you have used the rumbler even a single time
I've used rumbler in h40 and actually prefer hstubber to it
its only use is to one shot reapers
stagger bulwarks and crushers maybe too, anything else is not worth the ammo use
okay well I think you're completely delusional but I'd like to ask a simple question before I boot up a havoc 40 rot armor+stimms death stack in the psykhanium
How many grenades do you think it would be reasonable to wipe 5 crushers, 4 bulwarks, 15 scab ragers, and like I dunno lets say 60 poxwalkers or so by myself
Oh also like 8 maulers
we'll add them too
gunlugger or the meta taunt build?
could do either
it'd be a hell of a lot easier on glug
would take like maybe 20 seconds
and most of that'd be cleaning up the crushers
melee is gonna be power maul btw
meta taunt build will probably need 5-6 shots to kill one crusher which is abyssmal
though I would consider using PBB for it to be approaching gimmick build territory
already tested with rot armor the rumbler itself takes like...9-ish?
does 1000 damage
9 for one crusher is bad
goes down to 4 with glug fire
you have like what 45 total ammo?
38
with the ammo talent
but they're also rot armor why are you shooting them anyways
especially considered shattering impact gives free AoE brittleness
I mean yeah theyre only for reapers if you're being realistic with your ammo
even gunners and specials your wasting two shots to kill normally
good thing that's not really your job as ogryn unless everything has gone sideways
Reminder that rumbler can have infinite ammo extremely easily
anyways back to the question
with a glugger build, which is not the meta build
how many grenades do you think it'd be reasonable to expend to kill this group of enemies
a pretty standard hav 40 rot armor pack
by myself
with no help
on taunt build
your saying with the melee too?
i mean theres no point in using it other than the little stagger it does then your basically saying how fast can my melee kill them
i dont think rumblers OP its just discount trauma staff excpet its better for bosses and reapers
worse for armor and everything else basically
so this is the enemy group here
havoc 40 healthpools
rager blob back here
I could spread them out if you think them being so grouped is unfair in the rumbler's favor when I turn their AI on
If this takes me longer than like I'd say a minute and a half to kill all of them even with my inexperience on ogryn I would be shocked
Gonna limit myself to say...5 rumbler grenades so it's not too easy
that much would be easy to regen from a vet aura or just grabbing a few ammo tins
game crashed
typical psykhanium behaviour
I suck too much at ogryn to get out of this without getting hit lmao
getting a clip only being hit once or twice is probably the best I personally can do
https://imgur.com/a/FnKwVi3 best of like 8 attempts to get through this hitless and I'm just not good enough at ogryn xd
but still havoc 40 rot armor+stimms doomstack in a minute
actually only used 4 nades
psykhanium is bad for rumbler too cause enemies don't group as tightly
i love the ogryn maul until it have to swing it in melee
then i hate the ogryn maul
Rumbler is stupidly broken.
I don't play ogryn but that weapon is absolutely beautiful
yea youd be dead in a h40
that overhead is an instadown
and I don't see how this clip means rumbler is broken
3 bulwarks died to the first 2 shots, every single poxwalker and...4 ragers?
the explosions apply brittleness with shattering impact too so they boost the damage you whole team does to them
and that was like the guaranteed value you get from it
2 shots is guaranteed because of Back Off
3 is relatively common
with an actual team this whole doomstack would be dead in 20 seconds
with zero resources invested
meh if there were any specials on you like a regular h40 youre probably cooked and you were dead anyways on the overhead
its good for damage but its a build that is heavily limited by ammo and struggles in melee and survivabillity
dog you are focusing on one mistake I made in the clip and not the entire group being dead in a single minute xd
also uh news flash rumbler 2 shots most specialists too
and 2 shots is the guaranteed amount you get before reload
I mean it took you 8 attempts to get that, and havoc is that 80% of that the whole time not just one pack you will not survive playing like that
yeah I also am not completely alone in the absolute worst area possible for the rumbler in 80% of havoc
A regular rotten armor crusher pack is like 2x the amount too, rumbler is fine for destroying aurics and low havocs but h40 your gonna get smashed
I don't even care I don't use it, hstubber has way more versatillity
Current havoc is a clown fiesta exactly cause shit like rumbler exists
Thats also not true the h stubber needs a fat buff
Its really lacking in havoc now
what you are doing here is effectively arguing that the inferno staff is bad because it can't kill gunners when they're far away
plasma is bad because it can't kill monstrosities which are common in havoc
that's the argument you're making effectively
because rumbler "can't kill specialists" which it can
and is good at it because it's one of the ogryn weapons with no spread
the difference is the class has tools that let you kill those things like brain burst
ogryn rock is a specialist killer
I mean whats easier brain bursting a 100m target or landing a headshot rock 100m
😬
No need to hold it
I don't think brain burst has infinite range...
It might as well but I don't actually think it can target an enemy at 100 meters
When are you ever attacking an enemy 100 meters away
I'm just saying rumbler can't deal with gunners or long range specialist as efficient or as well as hstubber, what it does good is reapers and bulwarks
you shoot literally one grenade at them and they're all staggered/suppressed
wdym
shoot both and you'll even kill some of them
good thing rumbler has infinite ammo
two shots each gunner is not efficient
ammo economy might be something to worry about if it weren't for this elephant standing in the room
yes youre also locked to the glugger keystone if you want to do that
most meta builds run heavy hitter
i mean just try it out for yourself see how it goes
hstubber is fucking weird in havoc
I think its decent, kills most specials in one shot, gunners now are two shot with the hp increase, reapers are two
Damage numbers just always feel off enough for the things you feel like you should be killing in a reasonable time to me.
yeah the usual is kickback or rumbler for the stagger
Two shot on gunners is not exactly a great selling point with how unwieldy it is.
though I run GG because I hate specialists xd
And well.
actually I just remembered my first H40 clear this "season" was with a rumblergryn hang on lemme dig up the scoreboard for that
It was one shot before they buffed the scab hp, but now its a bit worse because its two now
There's a lot of gunners too.
the good thing is it also has cleave so you can hit multiple gunners like plasma
It's probably the most ammo efficient and one of the fastest ways ogryn can kill them still, rumbler and gg are very ammo hungry
psyker was shriek inferno iirc
okay found the actual scoreboard
power DI is neat
and this guy over the course of a h40 match did a full fucking million over 2 glass cannon playstyles
as rumblergryn
was wrong tho psyker was bubble not shriek
I think this was when stagger was bugged
it made the pmaul and rumbler really broken
now pmaul has barely any stagger on the autos
it would knock around people like bully club
whats the date
would that have made him do 1 million damage more than an inferno psyker
was uh
10/22/2025
welp it was after it then
must have been a bad psyker then and a long game
cause thats like 8 mil dmg total
psyker was 2nd least damage taken in lobby
also yeah def a long one
which would favor the psyker more if ammo was a real concern for rumbler but alas
was a rotten armor game too iirc but I cannot remember what the other modifier was
no, rumbler ogryns very often do this kind of damage
this is the norm for that build xd
it's the same concept as to why double barrel vet is so potent
but with a grenade launcher that doesn't care about carapace
covers a lot of ground with its projectiles and explosions and the damage is much more bursty
if it's not rotten armor it'll actually kill carapace too
most glugger ogryns I have it just ends up they run out of ammo and they die and we die
glug moment
twink/ripper gunlugger is really fun but kinda locked to aurics because of the ammo situation
I think twink could Maybe work if you exclusively used it with PBB to delete rooms or particularly thick hordes
well I'm also talking about lucky bullet rumbler ogryns that run taunt they also do that I haven't had any successful runs with them
kickback there's no real point to going glug wit it
rumbler infinite grenade generator
caveat you have to actually play melee
pmaul as your melee is pretty easy
yeah
its light spam until your specials up
it was a lot better defensively when stagger was bugged now its eh
Thammer was so good when stagger was bugged
I think calling it "eh" is a massive understatement
that special does a fuckton of aoe damage
radius is gigantic too
also it's technically a melee hit so it applies skullcrusher/soften them up etc.
Guys for Killshot Ready penance is going shotgun into hordes the easiest ?
I tried lasgun sniping but it’s slow af
is that the MMF one?
just take the 15 stacks thing and go swing a power sword or something into hordes
doesn't have to be ranged kills you just need to be at or above 10 stacks
The 2500 kills with 15 stacks?
yeah just builds stacks with like
a shotgun or recon lasgun or something
and go melee shit
Pardon, 10 I think I used a recon las for it
Ok thanks
any1 got a fun stealth vet buiild
friend of mine has been playing stealth/support vet and theyre having a ton of fun with it
What do you like using already and for what difficulties?
im kinda an everywoman tbh
i wasnt huge on vet before the tree rework, but ive been having a ton of fun with accatran las now
i ADORE the basic autoguns, esp Headhunters, but i know they are in a rough spot rn
same with Kant
I also wanna try shredder, but im not sure how well it would work on a stealth build
Vraks7 still pretty solid with a melee that backs it up imo.
honestly vraks7 with a stealth build sounds great
What's some of your melees?
Ones you enjoy and already have.
Especially higher masteries just in case
huh
all 3 vigilants and 2/3 infantry autos are quite strong right now
and shredder autopistol is okay
oh good to know
You can run shredder with anything
Its still good horde cc
the grenade or the gun?
autopistol
Ahhhhh
I think it's better on exe but it's a very good sidearm
Thats abyssmal sry
you can use inspiring barrage to make it very strong pocket toughness regen
it has excellent mobility, hits Hard on crits
can sprint while firing by default
and has good stagger+suppression
also I don't have any high mastery melees for vet
my highest are Combat Blade (9), Chainsword (7), CAxe (6), PSword (4)
I dont like but it can be fun on auric
it's fun in havoc too
the toughness regen is a lifesaver especially on vet who can't normally get it back without using their ability or killing something
Out of all of these which one would you hapoen to have a solid enough drop for? And which would you maybe want to focus on developing?
Chainaxe def preferrable over sword
If you really want to do Infiltrate yeah. I'd agree.
In my opinion yes
you have 5%/s passively
Exe is another 10%/s
perma
I haven't tried the chainsword yet after the patch so I wouldn't know. I've heard positive things but I haven't tried myself.
yeah so tl;dr my friend has been running stealth/support and basically focusing using smokes to deal with ranged hordes and the stealths to keep people alive
infiltrate and scrap?
Fight
I would switch to shredder nades or krak
Especially with a shredder autopistil
I would take kraks
Or u will have trouble with carapace
What's the uh
oh I was just throwing out shredder as an idea, I honestly wanna use Vraaks 7
The mark you're using for your chainaxe
Kraks are very good
i wouldn't mind that
what is the difference?
Cool so we're doing an infiltrate build running chainaxe and infantry autogun.
Any grenade is up to your mood. Shredders can help you out with horde approaches and even softening up tougher boys (and even setting them up by making them fall over for your chainaxe for example). Krak is a powerful burst tool for bigger tougher targets and help you lean more towards specials and elites. Smoke for a general sort of utility tool where your imagination is the sauce.
wait, infantry auto?
I think the one that isn't the default is a lot better for single target.
Mhm.
not Headhunter?
Attack pattern
You prefer vigilant autoguns?
I thought we were using the vraks7 infantry autogun.
Vigilants are better
They did a whole name change ages ago.
Np. Np
they renamed a bunch of weapons
tho
If you knew what ciag was back then, that's the vraks7. The tiniest one
Just for clarity: you want to use vigilant autoguns or infantry autoguns?
i haven't touched IAGs in AGES, I wanna go check how I feel abt em rq
Mhm
before I confirm
also there is no Vraaks VII, it's only Vraks V and Collumnus VIII
and Agripinaa I
oh wow, agri IAG is really crispy
i actually might wanna go IAGs
unless there's a way to make Vigis consistently 1 tap specialist heads imma go IAG
I wouldn't know how to manage it with infiltrate compared to executioner stance.
oh that's fair
I can def run Headhunter, that's no big deal
oh im dumb
nvm
yeah IAGs
Never tried that one so I wouldn't have much of a clue. And are you talking about the blessing.
Ah np
So
headhunter is what Vigis used to be called
Oh yeah you're right
i like. havent touched any of these guns in years lol
I felt like that was what it was but I forgot the name change fr lel
So iag and chaxe
so yeah, IAG/CHAxe stealth support
absolutely
im kinda in my support arc atm
also dumb question - does Rev It Up have any merit
I haven't touched it in a long time so i couldn't tell you.
Tbh, I'd say for chainaxe questions, try looking it up in the chat search because I forgot what folks were saying and I haven't used chaxe in stealth builds for a while.
Even if you're going a more support route, you'll definitely want to get the most out of the weapon.
I guess what's the idea of your stealth support vet?
Like the vibe for the feel you'd want.
friend of mine has been using to to get resses, do the hacking minigames, get into positions, use smokes to cut off sightlines
yeah you can use it to do objective but like
It's weird but doable. Mostly just trying to figure out what tweaks. It's basically a more standard vet stealth build but with some specific features.
VoC can do the rez thing too because big AoE stun
i always do VoC when I play vet
They're specifically looking for infiltrate
So it sounds like you want smokes
How badly do you want to not be targeted?
ideally as much as possible
also im thinking middle keystone for sure
if it fits
I haven't used chaxe with focus target but you can Definitely just swap some things as a variation.
chaxe can be good with focus target
WS is better for it but that also is the only fully selfish keystone so
womp womp
Mhm and she wants support.
what gun were they using?
@livid fractal you care if you need to stand your ground and/or fight your way out?
I can do that decently well usually
Cool cool
oh I figured out why vigis felt like crap
i didnt have any perks up
still gonna stick with IAG tho
it doesn't
I don't think it does
all chain weapons "chain" attacks are one hit
It's not per tick
regardless of appearances
Right okay
also chainaxe has comically high carapace damage anyways so
Mhm. Just making sure because I always forget it.
Mk IV 3 shot light attacking auric crushers 💀
holy
wait like the rev light????? or just gnomebliterating them
no just regular lights
Mk IV has no reason to use rev because the light attacks do SO much damage
how
am I missing like a blessing or smthn???
so it can get some comically high damage boosts when it's clearing trash
oh thatd do it
yeah so honestly i mostly just need help figurin out the weapon setups and my trree
where tree go
Hmm that was the wrong one I think hold on
oh yeah is the double barrel any good? it looks really funny
actually it might be able to 2 shot if you really embrace full damage memes gimme a sec
top 3 guns on vet
and by FAR the fiercest competition that the inferno staff has in terms of horde clear
There we go. I think I had some other one i posted there.
Give this one a try in the psykanium because I definitely am not too sure about this from like a pilot perspective.
i assumed it would be a "point blank it into a boss" gun
of any size/enemy composition that isn't carapace center mass
a Pilot perspective?
Took into account your interest in doubling down.
Playing it myself.
take tinker and drop demo team imo
smokes super don't need demo team
30 second duration n' all
She really wants to be playing with support utility from what she mentioned before. Idea there is for her to just always have something in abundance for later/liberal use.
also neither of their weapons benefit from rending
IAG is crit reliant, Chaxe has good ADMs already
Look it's an old habit at this point lmao
dreadful memories of the +10% coherency toughness regeneration node that used to be there
I just do it but yeah. Good to know for the chaxe since like I said, haven't touched it since unlocked and unloaded for infiltrate.
so what need be changed
I don't see Demo Team being super useful so I might swap that for Tinkerer
seeing as I'd have to be throwing 2 grenades a minute to burn thru all my smokes with tinkerer and stockpile
You can swap the rending talent towards the toughness node. Maybe if you don't personally want demolition team take no one left behind in the middle final tier or tinkerer like gun vet enjoyer mentioned (personally agree with it fr)
okay full damage juicing meme build does infact 2 shot light attack crushers
I am satisfied
Try seeing what your damage is like without the 8 stack for focus target. If you can kill crushers well enough maybe swap it with something else.
Maybe one of the top nodes since you got an iag.
lemme try that
Like crushers in melee specifically on your revs.
Oh and for your perks and blessings on chaxe
well
I can 1 shot heresy crushers with a revved melee
which isn't perfect but it should do Fine until I get proper blessings on chaxe
Oh yeah your masteries are lower
Np
What you got on yours right now? Might be worth thinking about this part ahead of time while you grind things out slightly.
If you like the chaxe a lot, maybe go for maxing it oit asap or at least getting the blessings you want to focus to max asap.
im thinking thats what im gonna work on
now I just gotta get a min mobility IAG roll
there was a min stability one in the shop 😭
which IAG variant should I be using once I get there?
I haven't used anything but the vraks 5.
So I wouldn't know with greater confidence yet.
which one is the most stable
Vraks 5 is what I'd say is the safest. It's like the infantry autogun.
aight awesome
Hasn't been dethroned in years.
thats the mastery 3 one so should get it in a mission or two
oh what perks/blessings do I want on the weps
Go for the dumdum and fire frenzy blessings.
none of them
Vraks 5 is a short range death laser that is the literal highest DPS gun in the entire game
i mean i know theyre not gonna be immensely stable either way but
yknow what sure I can do that
Agripinaa trades a lot of DPS for much better range
Vraks 5 not that hard to stay on target imo but that's just me ig.
You confident in your shooting under pressure at range? @livid fractal
Vraks has very harsh damage falloff that starts early
im not bad at it
i think the build also would just work for a headhunter auto if I end up not liking vraaks, they seem to want the same things
Where at exactly? I'll admit that I just gorilla the fuck out of that thing and get it done. Pain in the ass for midrange sometimes.
Main issue there is is that I'm not confident in infiltrate giving you what you'd need/want. Since you are in heresy, we could do it like that though.
It might just cost more points.
then again I have smokes to get in close anyways
This is also true.
i might swap back to demo stockpile cuz i just realized thats gonna print grenades on damnation+
can stockpile do enough to be worth dropping tinker?
er
wait
no i got my perks wrong
demo stockpile is once per 60s
demo team is elites = grenades
could demo team do enough to drop stockpile on higher difficulties?
cuz honestly i really wanna keep tinkerer and the revive perk
Stockpile is s passive helper since you can't always know how many nades you may need to use. Demolition team rewards you for backing up whoever you need to. And it scales with better teammates, your kills on vips, etc.
probably?
gonna be annoying if director is sleepy tho
If you really don't want it and want to depend more on demolition team to take leave no one behind go for it.
I personally think of it like this: I want to be able to have something in case I can buy time to cycle a nade/i just happen to get a nade--oops got two more from lucky rolls on demo team.
Gambling
i mean its really just a matter of mission type i think
demo team will be better on missions with higher elite concentration
stockpile will be better otherwise
As long as you're just dropping bodies, you'll be able to spin it.
And fwiw, both in combination is very valuable at higher difficulties since the base volume of vips is just higher by default before extra modifiers.
Having that tempo for a free nade helps a lot in longer gauntlet engagements, any kind of eternal horde event, etc.
This goes up when we start talking about lethal nade options as you probably already know.
Dropping stockpile in this context mostly just means you and whoever you're around might be tasked more by actually racking up those kills.
im pretty happy with the tree as js
if nothing else i can drop the revive perk if I reslly need the grenades
@calm shardwasn't it uh unarmoured and maniacs for the better chaxe?
err
carapace and maniacs/unyielding?
@livid fractal
You could probably use a second opinion on the chaxe spread because its been a minute and I don't really remember what people discussed about it like three weeks ago.
what blessing/perks/mark is good for dueling sword?
Uncanny Strike + Precognition/Riposte/Thrust/Agile imo.
Oh yeah @livid fractal maybe don't bother with unyielding for the vraks and go flak instead. Safest generalist bet that you seem to be more interested in.
Unyield is not bad on vet ranged for reapers and maybe bosses. Especially if you dont have it on your melee.
I prefer defences dump on it but chaxe does love its push attack
She says that she's still building up her masteries and mentioned being in heresy for the time being. Figured unyielding might not be too needed here
I really like having that added safety on the PA's personally, even as a mobility fiend.
I wouldnt put 4 points in the middle keystone
Put some on the left side instead and get extra ammo
Only reason why the doubling down is happening is from her own wishes for wanting to push utility even harder tbh
I would just drop it entirely tbh
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Just my two cents
They made up their mind fr. I get what you're saying though. If they were down to play with a bit more damage on average then yeah, I'd personally trim away from the bottom enough to just pass weak point dmg at bare minimum.
Also field improv is really not needet below haboc
Again, they explicitly said that they wanted to be doubling down on support features.
And they're still getting more of their arsenal squared away.
just a small heads up, the mk4 chaxe apparently is one of those few weird weapons with a max cleave limit of 5 no matter the strength/cleave, that is to say you can probably drop slaughterer in favor of something else
They'll be fine.
I tried Killshot penance with shotgun as we discussed this morning. I think it’s really easier to maintain focus stacks like this almost all map long. Did almost 500 kills in one map like that
Strenght is not just cleave
i edited my message
and ik
its damage, stagger, cleave
What would you consider tbh?
I think its the best option tbh
to be honest i still think its tied best too, but some people do like bloodletter on mk4
I'm actually gonna play around wit this myself because I need an excuse to use chax.
its honestly pretty alright on vet
It's been a while.
i dont like the alternate one with wet noodle lights
Chainaxe is very fun
And I started using power axe in space marines 2
although apparently that one doesnt have a 5 cleave limit
it doesnt
I'm back on my axe shit.
One if the better vet weapons
i prefer it personally but im a simple "heavy big enemies, light everything else" enjoyer
Which mark fares best?
The one with strikedown on heavys
I'm probably gonna just crash course warm up in a maelstrom.
Opposite is fine too like MK1 shovel 😃
technically the XII has the single highest instance of damage if you do thrust + headtaker with a heavy rev attack
better than thammer although WAY harder to pull off
imho though i'd probably just run slaughter+headtaker on XII esp on vet since you might as well benefit from the better cleave cap
leave the boss 1 shots to zealots running chastise builds
both are decent on vet its really up to preference tho
IV has a fantastic push attack and the light spam on it deals with smaller elites like ragers very well
Might try thrust since I'm running infiltrate with this one.
XII has a good push attack for hitting ragers too
Infiltrate/voc and ws/ft depending on my mood.
oh yeah in that case you can totally pull of a fully charged rev attack
ive never tried that but that sounds kinda fun
I haven't done it in a while but I like playing around and infiltrate is one of my favorites anyway.
the biggest downside of the XII is the lights feel bad
How bad we talking?
you'll get what i mean by wet noodle
they're not bad, especially with strength% stacking
they just feel bad
Hm.
audio design, animations etc.
Bleed worth playing with?
I prob wouldn't on the XII tbh
I'm going for a more self-sufficient style.
or do you mean Serrated Blade
I mean you could try, but I think most people run bloodletter with IV
Heavy Sword lights are prob the worst feeling attacks in the game
fuck knows why when the Mk IV's lights do so much goddamn damage
DClaws are even worse
still
not even close dude
I mean at least Heavy Swords have strength blessings
and totally not Brutal Momentum
or did they rework that blessing
I forgot
again, just by audiovisual feedback
I don't agree gameplay wise either :/
I wish they just gave DClaws better blessings
maybe some unique ones
after parrying increase attack speed and finesse damage or something
why do they have hammerblow and scrusher
5 of their blessings are impact related
its a sword
It's so bizarre
it'd be cool if maybe some of the moveset hit with the blunt side of the blade or something
I wouldn't be surprised of the DClaw lights had some of the lowest stagger values in the game tho lmao
Just gonna give it a spin.
good luck
i know theres apparently some funny bleed stuff you can do with chaxe but never tried it
It's called deathblow
https://imgur.com/a/Y5XShjL at least the Mk VII's damage profile is pretty solid
still can't kill carapace for shit but it does good enough into everything else
I've started taking a liking to it as a sidearm for exe vet
Not like I need my melee to do carapace when the Helbore IV exists
damn how did that rager ragdoll
Yeah this ones kinda fun true
I wish they got Slaughterer
I wish they didn't have 5 impact blessings
trvth
rampage skullcrusher?
okay be real with me
Looks like Wrath + that one crit blessing
but no I think that clip is just shred+rampage
I seeeee
rampage obviously not proccing because y'know
no wrath?
not parrying them all, thats yer issue
I use wrath these days tho just because more cleave feels gooderer
nah
huh
well you could have just parried them
huh Rampage is strength I'll be damned
yeah but the context of me taking that clip was when I was talking about Mk VII having usable flak damage
I gotta start running it on my weapons now
so I intentionally didn't parry because that would obviously just instantly kill them
to showcase that Mk VII's normal moveset can infact kill flak
with EW and serrated too?
exploit weakness
