Recon las is the "standar" weapon and a good one for gun centric specialist hunter, Bolter and Bistol perform their task of damage monster and pseudo sniper efficiently, but the booster is regarded as better for Havoc, and finally in it's throne is plasma, infinite cleave, stagger on even crushers and good anti specials and elite

And on melee we have the usual suspects with knife and Psword (and Dueling sword *grumble) but if you feel daring Hsword is a good option due its good horde elimination capacity

The reason I think improving enemy AI beyond its current (and already substantial imo) intelligence is that, given the sheer array of Specialists and Elites and the quantity in which they spawn, they'd just employ glitches and cheese spawns like Snipers already do lol

Especially since they have unlimited range of movement, unlike Halo AI
