The 200hp threshold is for being able to eat a sniper shot and not go down.

I find far more chances to reliable stand still in some fights than chances to reliability hit heads in the middle of a charging horde, probably less true on higher havoc but the risk/reward game of MMF is not that rewarding imo
I've found if you tell your team you are running marksman it can work on aurics. Get yourself a infantry Las gun the 2nd option and cast headshot on the heresy you'll go about just fine.

long-las lasguns are, functionally, just standard lasguns with a scope and a stronger barrel to support the stronger power packs they use
helbores are special, charge-fire lasguns that seem to use regular power packs but with the potential of using more of the pack’s power per shot depending on charge

On smoke, grants team within the smoke radius infiltrate equal to that of the vet. Once broken, grants equal to what the vet subnode grants. Each smoke can only grant Infil once.
So you can totally smoke save an ally about to die horribly by throwing a smoke towards them.
And if you are worried they'll aggro you, you throw one under yourself as well. XD
Or well, you use your own.
Oh, assuming the vet doesn't have infil, you just get a basic version of it.

I think ultimately, the reason why content creation on Darktide is soo dry is because the learning curve gets obscenely steep and is required to progress into the "fun" part of the game

I like using staggers and suppression to discourage spam in the team's direction, myself
Mechanically to dodge a ranged attack you either have dodge state, are sliding, are running at a specific angle, have ranged immunity (EE) or block with a deflector weapon
