depending on ur build u could make a mainly ranged playstyle work for veteran
i usually end up playing zealot 99:1 melee/ranged (1 being when i flick out a tknife)
but it's not as good as psyker

I wouldn't take MF on recon, it has very bad finesse modifiers, so the keystone wont provide much benefit to it

MF has very good finesse modifiers than can turn some guns into monsters, the problem with it isn't the stats it gives, it's how awkward it is to get those buffs in the first place
standing still in this game is a death wish

And all of the weapons that are good at using it don't need it to be at max stacks to get value
any weapon that scales well with finesse, like the Vraks and Revolver
vig auto, laspistol, inf las, helbore, inf auto
realistically MF works best on fast-firing guns tho
pretty much anything with big dW, dC and dCW numbers
Infantry Lasguns, Vraks Infantry Autogun, Helbore lasgun, laspistol and to a lesser extent the Bolter
I have managed to stack ok with the recon lasguns because how steady they are, that keystone feels made for assault rifles

but on a serious note, u don't take MF for plasma
not worth the ammo to have to ramp it up all the damn time
and using camouflage is annoying

for doing the penance u just go crouch walk with a rashad, camping in mercantile kitchen for 30 mins
Oddly I managed to use camouflage to get a shooting spot and firing to consistently stay on 10 stack (since on headshot kill I can move a fair bit)
I ended up getting it naturally using a Helbore since I like the playstyle of the keystone and have good aim
I'm a bad sniper, so I don't work well with Helbore, but I really feel MF is made for rapid fire guns

they do MORE damage over distance, not less

main thing is ghost (blessing) and ammo econ
and potentially better recoil ig, though it depends
the reverse damage falloff kinda sucks tbh
since a lot of engagements in this game are close range
it's a hell of a lot better than them losing damage over range
they do good damage at close range
and do even better at long range
Probably one of the reasons why reciprocity is so good, you will always have something swinging at you in melee

relic blade needs energized heavy atk to stagger rager, and needs to stack wrath to be able to stagger as many as power sword

and can cleave carapace (can stagger multiple maulers too)
but relic blade has better cleave dmg distribution so against what it can cleave through, it'll kill groups of them faster

better then that is buying a plasma gun from the shop with a minimal ammo stat as its accurate and has good ammo consumption while okay dmg to use in a pinch

or to kill them if throw 2 + have the 25% node

Maintaing/having more stam will help with a little bit of blocking. But most of the time it's not worth blocking

I think my main problem is that I've played Zealot alot and tend to rush in
You can still do that on vet, but it's going to play out differently because of the baselines differences with the classes
Vet struggles with stamina
Yeah I have Stam curio are there usufull keystones or nodes for stamina ? I did use duck and dive but they said that stamina keystones are not so good
Ok I will try it's my kind of playstyle to move a lot
If I want to full dive in the speed melee I take both stam regen nodes, 1 plus 3 stam with all 3 curios having stam regen
If I remember correctly the stam regen nodes in the talent tree also reduce the recovery start timer for stamina
So stam comes back sooner and faster

The 3rd gunner resistance doesn't actually give you 20% more gunner res. All 3 add up to 55% gunner res, if you feel like you take too much damage against a certain special (sniper/flamer) feel free to change 1 of the gunner res to the special res
