Not season, so fresh is awful rn.
WDYM icky?
Nu, that stinks. Durian is just strong.
Are you talking about yourself now?
https://youtu.be/84Gni1gEb-k?feature=shared
When Vet losses his shit after to much inconsistent instructions from teammates
Also, offer still stands about the set. You can look it up. Just tell me if you are interested then. Also, add me for 30 days.
maybee
you can keep it
I literally do not care. That cache is worth nothing and I just don't like it.
:V
Wat?
Ah. But is not need, just want.
Oh, that.
little misunderstanding
I thought you meant DOTA2 lul. Hoodwink is a squirrel furry.
Ah. Is just I had an extra of that one cache and if you played her, you can have it.
ahh i see
š š š š š
This tells me you play Sky.
noii
i dont play the game much to know whos sky
Skywrath Mage.
Ah well.
Indeed
Ppl joke about sky being a chicken cos paper nuker. If he doesn't snowball, he's KFC on wings.
Also, the taunt.
And that he rambles the dook on everything. So noisy.
Ooo I see
anyone running havocs
Ask for mobian 21st havoc 1 to farm.
for karks sake
1st time i pick up dc sword parry build in weeks - instant streak of smite psykers in every match
JUST LET ME PARRY GODDAMNIT
its like they smell my desire to get hit and get pleasure from denying me
Curse of smykers
I hate smykers
Precision
Always
u need superiority complex/fire team for plasma if u don't have focus target
u also don't need always prepared for plasma
not worth 1 point
exploit weakness is garbage, even if u crit build DC sword
oh sure
took tinkerer instead
lacking one point for superiority complex now
can only drop 25 toughness i think
its auric build so i guess i will do that
More ammo, precision strikes, superiority complex, remove that 25 toughness from the middle tree and instead pick it from the right tree instead of that node with the shield icon
did allat'
Also I'm surprised by the amount of people I see pick WS plasma but not the modifier that gives you 20% toughness for deploying either weapon
It goes hard
it's strong
but
2 point to reach it
on plasma
not worth
neither WS pathing to it matters much for plasma
Had huge success with this with how much I change weaponzzz
swap GBITF to catch a breath
this works tho yea
You told me already this in the past yea
do it then
I tried, I didn't get enough value out of it
u wouldn't get enough value out of GBITF either
i think gbitf has less value than it used to now
Trust me when I say I do wth how bullshit 200 ping is at times and I get overheaded LOL
even if u consider GBITF to actually work in your favor (it doesn't), given havoc's removal of toughness grace, it's still not gonna save u
so it's just 100% abysmal dogshit
irredeemably bad talent
My justification used to be that if i ever got stunlocked by a gunner/reaper, i could use the stun immunity to escape after they toughness broke me.
They don't stunlock anymore so
stun immunity just has way less value now
nah, no toughness grace, u just get shredded all the same
Imagine if gbitf worked without having to break your toughness
i think you probably died regardless if that happened in havoc
If my toughness is broken Iām most likely dead
The only case of someone actually getting value out of GBITF Iāve ever seen
Was a veteran that took 2.8k damage in Gloriana
And died 5 times
So surely it didnāt save him
The carry
Also doesnāt it help getting out of flame bomb fields?
Again, no toughness grace in havoc
If GBITF was damage immunity, sure
But itās not
Yeah if your toughness is broken
Not the toughness grace, justā¦not getting stunned by the flames.
But ok fair point.
If toughness has to go for it to kick inā¦
Toughness broken + stuck in fire in havoc = youāre going down buddy
idk you're usually almost out by the time toughness breaks even in the worst cases
by then you're probably taking like one more tick before getting out regardless
or you're dead
Cause i don't die & actually perform with smite
chonky donkey hating again
I wish gbitf worked like twbs
Impossible
Just play purg
Power Sword seems the best Veteran weapon to deal with high density horde ?
Depends
What kind of density
Auric Havoc
Again, what kind of density
Pure horde
Mixed horde
Carapace
What exactly are u talking about
Power sword is already in auric mael. At H35+ it lags behind some other melee quite a bit.
not really? still tremendously strong there
Mixed horde I guess ?
Power sword / combat axe, depending on mixed horde composition
Pure carapace, power sword pulls ahead (sunder)
Pure horde, combat axe pulls ahead
2 hit a crusher with Psword never gets old
Power sword seems really the better all around
The mk 3 with sunder is fun
Iād dump cleave targets
Most people us the Mk6 ?
Talking about swords any heavy sword build worth a try ?
Yeah the mk6 is good but for something like havoc Iād do sunder
Other than that definitely mk 6 with bm and pc
Mk6 is all round better
Real
Mk3 has basically no purpose lol
Just run sunder on mk6
Nah
You get a smyker and books.
Yes poltergeist
Actually yeah Iād just use the mk6 with bm
i didnt even kill him
the npc soldiers did
i ran way to get to where he was and he was dead cuz a life
lfmao
Sunder and ... ? š
Poltergeist had bodies is shadow of chernobyl but other 2 games in trilogy they just exploded
I played trilogy 2 and mods
I have completed it with true ending
Poland unfortunately has very orthodoxic stalker community
And they for the most part shat on stalker 2 because its not like the trilogy
Also play trilogy
waht that
oh
stalker 2 is so fun tho
It is
But some people are stuck in 2009 when call.of pripyat came out
Trust me play the trilogy
Why?
Trilogy is very slav jank
Looks may not be very attractive
But it will clear up some holes in the story for you
And if not you can watch some stalker lore channela
Fair
And what are the must have range weapon for vet in auric / high havoc ? PLasma gun only ?
What are true games guns ?
u can run literally any weapon aside from the shredder autopistol
Plasma / recon
@dry cloak lmfao i love how u can stand on soemthing and they just cant hit u
i wish they dropped loot so theres incentive to kill them aside from them being annoying af
why they kinda
i aint hearing u out
Mutants are too tanky
Install mods
Do you have a preference for melee weapons association ?
Axe / power sword
For both range weapons ?
Thereās not much melee variety on veteran
š
Combat axe III
Power sword VI
Duelling sword IV
Combat blade VI
Heavy sword IX is ok but has no carapace damage
But thatās it
Plasma gun is a more safe choice if you dont if your team can deal with menaces ? ù
No
Recon is the far more versatile choice
Plasma is much more restricted in application but costs less talents to run usually
plasma gun is honestly a noob trap
Nah
I find 2 is the one with the nice consistent moveset
sweepy lights and only stabby heavies
Thatās IV
yea its the one everyone crutches on
was it 4? I thought it was 2
also I am going to refer to them as numbers because i am lazy
II has H2 diagonal
I didnt know ! Even against Bulwark and Crushers ?
Why would u shoot at them
tbh
You have melee
I think i used 2 a while ago the one rhat has sweep heavies
and more or less impossible to remember well
Nah
Oh ! Do you deal with them with the Psword and Axe ? Axe you just hit them in the back I guess ?
@hollow axle use every weapon but the op stuff and you will become a good player. Only use op and you will become sloppy player that bitches about everything.
Why in the back
Just brutal momentum and power cycler on the mk6
hyperbole, dear
I dont know !
I did all masteries and my level gamplay improved so well !
Practice fighting multiples of them in meat grinder with creature spawner
I donāt get how youāre hitting them in the back
Good. Just dont fall back on plasma too.much. it really kills your ability to do stuff without it
Swap to weaker weapons
I love bolter
Like vigil autos
I'm a comparative noob, but they seemed fine to me
kinda reminded me of payday 2 popping heads with your primary
D Barrel ws my beloved
I see trapper I swap to d barrel and turn the trapper into a red mist
So you use recon in what conditions ? And you force brute melee with Psword ?
shoot at whatever u can't immediately hit with your melee within 2s
veteran is not a primarily ranged class (that would be psyker)
Bolter is too iconic to not use
absolutely stupid logic
Iād say using stuff like the dclaw and chain axe made me better
Bolter has the best sound effects for any gun in darktide, therefore it is the best gun
Especially the chain sword
Chainsword is so crippling it really does make you better
hewll yea
If i give a new player Voc and something mindless like the dueling sword or combat axe itāll make them develop a crutch
You can use whatever you want but Iād rather them learn basic mechanics like pushing and knowing how to dodge
Stuff like the chain sword and axe make you do that
I like to think the male and female loose cannon vets are siblings
I confess I usually donāt even dodge during close quartersā¦
I do block and push, naturally, since those are crucial for P Sword activation.
Add some dodge slides and youāll feel like a drifting blender
Dum dum + deathspitter/infernus
Flak
Maniac/crit chance
So flak and crit it is. Why Dumdum over headhunter? Feel like HH synergizes well with the crit focus/shock trooper
Because of reciprocity
Headhunterās actual crit chance gain is relatively small for recon
I use headhunter instead of infernus because I didnāt feel like infernus was doing much in terms of dps
Definitely have better ammo economy over the long term because the crit spot on hordes is all the same
dumdum's always a must have
Infernus mainly matters for boss (BoN)
so the last slot is usually infernus (synergizes with DD) or deathspitter (boring generic damage boost)
infernus is very effective at burning out reapers, bulwarks and bosses
Does DD have some kind of exploitable effect? Cause if it's just short range damage I'm pulling out the Rashad not shooting the lasgun
and can help save ammo on other targets
Close damage goes up to 30m
Hahaha wtf I thought it was like maybe 8
Itās max value up to 12.5m, then scales down to no value at 30m
you'd think
This game man šµ every day I'm learning something new
the game hides a lot of info
which leads to a lot of misinformed people (not their fault really)
taxe is actually OP
Hmmm.... I feel like you might be biased
Do you even play your taxe ?
Does DD affect the damage of fire dots? Blew my mind finding out unrelenting strikes affect soulblaze
i wouldnt think so, since dots dont really have a range
so how would dumdum calculate range based bonus damage
Yes
Because +%Ndmg is global
Distance between you and the burning enemy?
It only checks for what damage instances u have that are currently active
okay lol
I can't tell if that emoji is ironic or not
what each combination of blessings is meant to be used on? the guide on the pun suggest Uncanny Strike, Riposte / Flesh Tearer, Precognition, Mercy Killer but not much guide on when or why take each combo
so I wouldnt take infernus for the same reason i take shredders over krak
In this context no
maff still plays darktide?
not that much. Have little time to play atm
ur missing out on my ogryn š¦
cant beat salesforce my man

3 true ogryn duos on h40 are done rn we tryna get a couple more before the patch hits
I am happy doing my weekly h40 then sleeping the whole week
sad!
I mean, after a thousand of hours in a game, seems fine
plus
Still won't have much time to play, but still
what blessings are good on a braced Agun? and how good is having speedload on it?
Fuck

i have, but there is no explanation in dept of them or why stuff like speedload is out
you take the blessings that help the most with damage
that's it
you don't need speedload
Because you have reload speed talents
And you prob shouldnāt rely on gun for horde clear
Outside of tactical reload all the reload stuff is stat nodes, right?
Can't recall how many of those are in the tree
Volley adept (not worth due to longshot)
5% reload speed
Marksmanās focus
Weapon specialist - fleeting fire
Ah, forgot the keystones, thanks
I personally donāt think theyāre worth outside of tac reload
5% reload speed is pure tax node
lol never tried the tac axe and it is actually a lot of fun\
Last question, is onlsaught worth building into a build? I know it can allow weapons like the graia to kill crushers under a mag, but idk if is really that good (maybe with lots of frag nades?)
the suprise on his face
didint notice that before
I never found autoguns good for heavy armor and to much ammo waste but I didint try them for long time so idk. Mostly I see them as hord or unarmored enemies hitter.
columnus or i think its called vraks now maybe the short one can still melt
Bring a melee that kills carapace for u
Usually my weapon choice is one for hordes and one single target
I take that onslaught is a useless dead talent then?
like RS/Bolt gun Knife/DB shotgun I never have 2 heavy/slow weapons it just never works for me like RS/DB shotgun Its not my rythm
What's RS in this?
I use mk II but its a personally choice and it hard to handle in the begining mk X has more practicall moves and more easy to start with
I still don't know what RS stands for
*short circuit sounds
I was under the impression we were talking veteran, my b
Blame that jerk sandman who make us feel tired when we're supposed to sleep
on vet I like only few melee
whats the mains differences between the helbore and standard lasgun?
in terms of regular firing
Power sword and chain I've tried many times it just doesn't work for me
charge and fire vs click to shoot
unsure
its not that fast i think
higher dmg but slower fire rate
I found helbore more precise with fire power you can go slow you can go fast if needed the bayonet is great if you combine all those things its really fun to play
good control with enemies
even if your shot wont kill you can charge it a little to slow down an enemy and move to another target
Not worth in most cases, yes
Damnit, kinda disheartening for some weapons that are supposed to make the most use of that perk (is also quite odd that is placed in the melee side of the tree, where you would expect stuff like revolvers and maybe shotguns for quick swap shots instead of rapid fire weapons)
its positioning is part of what makes it mediocre
it's not bad as it is, just kinda out of the way of typical mag-dump builds, where it would excel.
I was lowkey baffled by how much damage the bayonet does
the first time I tried it
the bayonet dps is crazy
Honestly I still feel the tree needs some identity adjustment, and this kind of things are exactly why
it's probably not a popular thought
but I wouldn't mind more choices that lock off other choices

sometimes the fun is in 'not' getting to choose something
helbore seems all-around weapon
How dare you suggest making players do decision making?
Emperor forgive me ;-;
Except for horde management, in that regard is not great
I'uno, still kinda oneshots a bunch of stuff.
Dunno if that holds true on the highest difficulties.
hmm I use stabbing shotting combination
Bayonet stab has very poor cleave damage distribution
This is true.
U go from like 600 on first target to 60 on second target lol
That first guy is real dead, though.
S'gotta count for something.
Dude's pretteh dead.
That's why you go for Mk4
First target 450
Second target 150

Mk4 can't stop winning
remember when bayonet carried over blessings from melee?
š£ļø
Le sabre de duellio?
Mk4 helby
Ahkays
I stab and shoot through make a safe tunnel:D
I'm not good with variant names
brutal momentum bayonet...
Orrrrr
orrrr
a rifle with a sword bayonet
halberd ass rifle
tbh, one thing I actually wanted was a pistol+sword combo
I feel like that's doable
pistol with sword?
like half the imperial guard officer models are sword/chainsword and pistol
also commissars
well you can hav that bolt pistol is sweet in combo
kinda feel like it would work a bit like the grenade fist ogryn has, where right click braces your gun and makes left click into a shooty shooty over a stabby stab
maybe get some neat special where you point blank execute dudes with your pistol, after doing the stabberooney
bolt pistol special move is somthing like that
you said the words 'power fist'
and now I'm sad
because I would like an actual power fist
le grande punch
This one is for you
yeah, but as a combo weapon
so that I feel all special and tingly
and then they make it take up the melee slot
and suddenly you have a smol gun 'and' a big gun
!!
I wish you could have 2 melee or 2 guns because why not
I mean one weapon I each slot
Ok it's time for my night meditation see ya
all 3 of my havoc teammates left
Let's try to solo this shit!!!
ah shit wrong channel no matter
Can ask for ppl to join btw.
It was a havoc so not possible for others to join
They can. I hotjoined halfasleep a H40 mid run cos someone left.
They need to join via join strike team.
This assumes you host.
No point joining if host left since the run won't count then.
@dry cloak this goes so hard
what good marksman focus are around? specifically those you would say "i can use this on havoc 30 and win"
marksmans focus kinda stinks
at least
to use
from what i tried is not only the hardest to use, it gives damage comparable to 3 stacks of focus target that doesnt depend or disapear for missing headshots
yeah, 10 staks vs 3 is almost the same, not acounting for crit variations so maybe 4 stacks
Scar
How I watch on the vet-o-vision as 20 scab ragers show up in the horde
(My plasma gun thirsts)
Lmao
My exe stance plasma gun at 10 WS stacks proceeded to fucking obliterate them in about 6 seconds
when did vault spireside get readded
AhhI remember playing old stalker it was hell on higher difficulty and those crazy modes. It was terrifying like metro many times and jamming weapon when in middle of shot out.
It's jamming weapon still a thing in new stalker ?
Is there an updated guide for veteran curios?
path's vet guide has a curio section
reach at least 201 hp, get as much toughness as possible after that
i personally go for 1 hp curio, 1 tghn curio, 1 stam curio where i take hp and tghn perks on all and i go for 1 stam regen, 1 ability regen and 1 free space, usually sprint eff
So what's the patch going to entail for those of us who run Helbore lasguns? The bayonet's going to get a slower attack speed, and benefit from attack speed talents but not from other melee talents, so it's going to be a nerf but can return to something akin to normal if you get Trench Fighter / Weapon Specialist?
Has the max numbers changed for curios? All I'm pulling are 19%+ Health. Not 20-21% Health.
420/430 curios should be 21% health
Hmmm... Any other ways to claim besides Melk's Mystery Store/Normal Store and mission loot?
Not seeing 420/430 curios at all
Not to my knowledge. Just check in on Brunt every hour / spend Melk Coins. There's a mod to access the armoury from the Character Select screen so you don't have to load into the mourningstar and slog over each time.
You just have to be lucky with Melk or Brunt.
Are Mystery acquisitions a waste if I've got spare?
No.
No other way, curio farming is still BS
You can random roll curios until the cows come home.
It's like the only use for melkbux anymore.
Sweet thanks
Who knows, you may pull 17% toughness and +3 stam curios out of it, as well.
I remember spending 10k melk bucks and not getting a single +3 stamina curio... That bastard
Well 1 is usually all you need
I've got two more 420 toughness to go lol.
Zealot crying for ammo got me wonder on this run can't he just use melee I'm the one who needs ammo (or the one who steal it all)
flamethrower zealot who forgot how to melee probably
Me as Vet who trying to at least sustain zealots flamers by picking Surv aura
āMelkbuxā
Bro I hope you have that word copyrighted Iām stealing that lmfao
Always drink your melk
Question: I was choosing marks on my shredder, piced one (wrong one) now I am stuck with that and it shows none availible. What happened to them? I select any other weapon, go to marks and there is 3. The shredder had three and they all of a sudden disappeaed
and I cant upload a screenshot here either..
The shredder autopistol?
yes
That has no marks
something doesnt make sense. It had marks, I chose one, then they all disappeared
Well I'm unsure what I can tell you is the shredder autopistol doesn't have any other marks and has never had any other marks.
then how did the damage stats change, I wish i had a screenshot of that before i made the choice
I promise I am not crazy
Uh no you are crazy, you might have been on another gun maybe the laspistol mistaking it for shredder or the UI was bugged. Ivehave had that happen to me before. But unfortunately the shredder has only 1 mark and its not very good compared to all our other guns
hmmm.. so then that has to be it, i had a different gun š³
I wish we had more tho

Jokes on us, fatshark just played a cruel joke on that person and are secretly adding in another shredder mk.
we're getting a new shield mk for ogryn that replaces his maul with another shield so he can have one on his back making him always blocking from behind
What if he has one on one hand and another up his
I wish all door shield users in ds3 a very straight sword weapon art uppercut.
Kick supremacy
Do people in elden ring/dark souls pvp actually use just normal weapons
I have a pole hammer on elden ring
Not anything amazing
personally, i wish all gundyr's halberd users a very fried graphics card
Hypothetical question: would it be fine if the stealth skill could replace the executioner stance but it would have build in and nodes to give gun buffs when it's off CD? So you are encouraged to not use stealth to gun more but when needed/as a "oh sh!t" button it's there for the situation.
Are u talking about infiltrateās design being bad or it being annoying to play
...
This is me wondering if we could give the melee oriented side of the perk tree something different than the skill that is thematically against a melee centric style, and since stealth is already tied with guns maybe make it more like executioner's stance (not that I'm not hating on ES, this is an hypothetical question THE POINT OF THIS IS WONDERING! NOT HATING!)
How is infiltrate thematically against a melee centric play style
And how is stealth tied with guns
commando isn't melee centric, it's juggler hybrid
and infiltrate is ambivalent to guns or melee
you can use it to reposition and get a good firing angle, or use it to dive and force a melee fight while they are still recovering from the massive suppression
Some of them, estoc was good for a while but has been nerfed in almost every patch
Meta when I stopped playing was double lances
Or double bleed spears
I swap between the pole hammer and like
A shield and morningstar
It's the only way I can deal enough damage to bosses
I guess the best argument here is that it's current version is more engaging than what I'm suggesting, I probably should try more infiltrate builds using more weapons like infantry Aguns to get a more all around feelings on it
For pvp, hammers and flails are considered the worst weapons
Their only good animation is their gaurd counter
Flails can't be parried though
I had to use the flair for the one guy in the castle who parries your attacks
Lol
I remember him
I'm not very good at the game
It takes time
Don't worry about what weapons are good in pvp if you aren't playing pvp
Pve is completely different
right now I'm using the soldier armor you get from the limgrave guys
Actually I think it is a Lucerne and I'm calling it a poleaxe it's been months since I played
I got stuck on this giant knight guy outside the big rotting castle place
agile engagement, weapon swap speed, weapons specialist are melee talents i suppose then
as pertains to the previous topic of conversation
I need to take some videos of Zarona spreadshot shotgun gameplay
what build would you be using that shotgun for on veteran of all people
Tbh, is more how for a long time Stealth and subterfuge are associated with snipers and hunters, sure stuff like predator make them more close quarters, but even then ranged fire was a good tool for them
This describes half the bosses in elden ring tho
even with Psyker damage it sometimes feels like a T shirt cannon
Manstopper/Deadshot/marksman's focus/tunnel vision
it's insane and doesn't always work
when i hear stealth and invis, i think spy from tf2, rogue from dnd and melee assassin (sneak + dagger) from skyrim
But if you land a good shot on a crowd
it's a fountain of exploding heads, max toughness and stamina instantly
also good for shooters
the predator comes in second
My stealth vet build now uses dc7 and laspistol
Sneak dagger in skyrim is chad shit, bows are for pussies
I feel like the double barrel could accomplish the same thing with much less skill investment
The red rotting castle
he's like a miniboss
The whole point of the Zarona is its freakishly high unyielding damage and finesse modifier
sneak dagger is impossible until you're at least like 50 sneak
making bow the best way to level it until then
Wasnt that agrivolver
No, you get the muffle spell and play smart and you can do it
Zarona shotgun or revolver
Or you talking shotty
shotgun
you need like lvl 12 and good luck to get muffle
I prefer agrip shotty
I'm still sad they changed the name from lawbringer man what were they thinking
Honestly Skyrim makes me remember more the stealth archer, but I get ya
I don't blame you the Zarona is straight up the worst but it's my guilty pleasure
ngl I use the shotguns more than most people
less ammo and damage
I'd honestly argue the Zarona is the most consistently useful of the 3
I use them too
Shotties need a touch up
Agri is trying too hard to be a worse vigilant autogun
*crouch in front of bandit
"Must have been the wind"
manstopper makes it really satisfying honestly
Kantrael is just bad at everything which is sad
which is at 90 sneak at which point a dagger is more useful and better
blast a rager through the chest and it throws the one behind him to the ground
Zarona is at worst adequate at all the things you'd want to use a normal gun for, and comes with some of the best boss dps of any ranged weapon in the game
No? There's a garunteed drop noy far from windhelm
Vigil mk3 auto is just so good
Just doesn't really have a lot of ammo
This is surprising
I didn't know it had any boss damage
due to having roll, the sneak being so high that you can crouch jump for mobility and being able to literally stand still and not be detected
I try to drop shells into its head but it's hard and doesn't seem to do a ton
i appear to have met a true gamer while being in my fake gamer era. i apologize
yeah Zarona shotguns minimum pellet count against unyielding when you ADS is 14
which is more pellets than it actually fires
3k hours playing (mostly) unmodded skyrim
but I use it with exy stance and marksmans focus I'm insane
spam spreadshot into an incoming horde
I beat the main story and main faction stories with several builds over the years
My favorite is still lightning mage
i've got 1k of mainly vanilla-ish of mostly sneak
i tried giving mage a shot but it's like
You can kill dragons before they are able to crash land at 50%hp
which is expert spells iirc?
Mage dmg scaling comes from buff potions
conflagration, chain lightning, ice storm and the wall spells?
The DnD weezard experience: early levels are pain, later it becomes a god
Chain lightning is your bread and butter as mage
Runes are actually very powerful
sure, lightning does more base damage, but the effect of fire spells is that enemies take more fire damage if they're actively taking fire damage
they are but i'm 3 iq
Arsonism and pyromaniac that give me life in games
fax, no printer
funny shotgun damage
the jackhammer š
That ain't a shotgun
i got my veteren to lvl 30
I jest
It's a combat shotgun (with skin)
I'll take some videos tonight perhaps
Nice
congrats! if you need help setting up a full build, you're just a question away
time to perfect your weapons
very funny quirk of zarona shotgun is being able to just headshot bulwarks over their shields
since the minimum pellet count is enormous it deals full damage if you so much as clip their head
I want to find perfect builds for each weapon, but hard to do something else than shout
Feel like dragonborn
so anyway
fellas, i crave vault spireside
it's okay to be wrong ā¤ļø
helbore lasgun
i'm already miserable
is this infantry lasgun
you have to play the game normally
Thats a shotgun
Modified using weapon customization mod
very satisfying gameplay to me idk
i swear kantreal was for infantry las gun
I like blowing up people with the boltgun
Because it is
There's different weapons that share origin worlds
ah
there's a kantrael shotgun but they also do kantrael lasguns
boss damage is pretty stellar too
but I guess it would just be some kind of lens or refractor type thing on a modified infantry lasgun
is this combat shotgun
yeah
Yes
In a vacuum that's cool but good luck managing to land all those headshots while he's flailing around
i thought it sucked
it does but it is still fun
it's a lot easier than it looks because you can aim super high and still do full damage
something can suck and still be cool
Because compared to other weapons it does
like I said earlier the minimum pellet count is higher than the actual amount of pellets the gun fires
so long as all pellets that you do land hit the headshot you do full damage
helbore lasgun my beloved
Helbores are more underrated than bad. And they require some skill to use
Zarona has a very generous minimum pellet count and very high finesse on its ADS shots
Which makes it a pretty consistent gun even over range
Did someone ping me
But it's still a combat shotgun you can save yourself a lot of trouble by just using something with ammo
@ veteran steam guide WIP helbore lasgun
Probably me, was answering the question you did iirc
96 reserve shots with the Zarona and you run out after like 10 seconds of shooting
Well, that would be the case if infiltrate didnāt have the longest CD of all veteran abilities
shooting the top of a bulwarks head vs shooting a reaper straight in the face
just aim vaguely head level make sure none of the pellets hit their body and you're doin' good
Itās a stereotype thatās not particularly accurate however
do NOT hipfire into unyielding though because the shotguns use magic ammo that gets worse if you hipfire them
In fantasy settings you tend to see archers that can go invisible
Vermintide 2 Huntsman?
But in almost every historical context, it essentially goes like
The elite soldiers may not be archers
But archers are always elite soldiers
It's because being able to pull a 200lb warbow requires constant training
Yes
I hipfire into ragers
You have to be a proffesional full time archer to be an effective battlefield archer
sit them down
The suppression to make a melee fight more in your favour seems to be what makes it solid for the hybrid side of the perk tree, so I believe current iteration it's better than my idea. I just wish it doesn't tax so many perk nodes for it.
Archers in history are usually significantly better trained & equipped for melee than regular infantry
200lbs is really the max, the usual is about 150lbs, and that's already a feat.
So this media stereotype of archers being stealth nimble recon type characters that fold in melee instantly couldnāt be further from the truth
yeah barely changes damage
hipfire gets more stagger and cleave tho
I didn't think they would fold in melee but it does make sense I think
Though, most long bow archer are in battle line army, they are not the same as other type of archer.
So it would be wise to take no respite or full bore you think
Itās only done that way for game balance
Hunters don't need long heavy war bow like military archers.
If it followed historical precedence then ranged unit would be absurdly broken
Youāre essentially looking at avg guardsman vs kasrkin/scion equivalent
I think it comes from Robin hood
When talking infantry vs archer
Infantry is usually cheap foot soldiers
The spears of the army
crossbow in darktide when?
Hunters are usually skilled in survival and close combat in addition with the lighter bow.
So I personally donāt like or agree with this association of stealth = ranged, nimble
Nimble perhaps but not really ranged
reload speed on veteran makes me wanna start cutting
No respite is an absurdly high damage boost beyond the first shot, but full bore enables a lot more consistent one shots
i run it with the middle reload talent on zealot so it's always ready to mag dump but vet doesn't have it
Ty for your PoV mate, appreciate it
especially if you aren't landing every pellet all the time
Marksmans focus and the one that reloads faster on elite kills
cutting what
Rough historical battlefield hierarchy goes peasant skirmishers<peasant pikemen<armored men-at-arms<archers<mounted knights<seige engineers
No Respite is 20% damage for each level of stagger an enemy is suffering from
i am NOT running marksman's
His arms to bleed out
And shotgun stagger is enormous so it's realistically more like a 60-80% damage boost
On enemies that you can stagger anyways
vetern talent rework when
And tbh
Archers usually arenāt that nimble either
Given theyāre typically elite soldiers theyād be wearing very good armor (not heavy plate but still quite good) and be carrying not only arrows for their bows, but also melee weapons and maybe shields
Your loss
that's free headshot damage and reload speed
I take tunnel vision so it's also bonus toughness
I'm trying to figure stealth builds and people are already clamouring for a rework?
yeah but marksman
Hell yea, 5th vet talent rework pls
(i am not a vet main i dont know what im talking about)
Want to see what IAG and other mid range guns it can support
People hate marksman builds the most here
this is what i am parroting
I haven't seen much about archers carrying shields. I've seen writing about crossbowmen doing it tho
It's probably the most boring way to play for most people I guess and they hate not having voice of command
there is likely nuance that i am neglecting due to the fact idk what im taking about
There's no nuance
Voc is a crutch
i havent even tried marksman
mmm
That's it
"marksman" is like a play style
marksmans focus the keystone, and executioners stance (what chris is talking about) are both unpopular so uh
maybe?
yes
also Marksman the red talent that gives 20% strength on weakspot hits
I like exe, but I kind of get tunnel vision while using it
Marksman feels that needs a rework, feels hard to implement in gameplay and it's reward isn't that impressive
Just simple stats
the marksman penance seems like a pain in the ass
Nah itās easy if youāve got some friends
It's reward is very fucking impressive for certain weapons
i only have my bf :(
It's just hard to play because you need to be clicking heads all the damn time
Small hand shields are possible, but large shields usually not
When you could just press F on VoC
I got it in like 4 matches with two of my friends
And win that way
Marksmanās focus? I can help u
Iirc they used large ones to have mobile cover with crossbows
Like with Marksman's Focus the keystone
It's something you have to enjoy
Otherwise I actually do recommend my ridiculous Zarona shotgun manstopper build
Which is entertaining
Vraks infantry autogun can one shot headshot gunners
IIb infantry lasgun can 2 shot headshot gunners, and one shot headshot any special except mutants
MK IV Helbore lasgun can one shot crushers
did someone say
with a gun that has infinite ammo
and people will have the gall to say it's a bad weapon because it's not the plasma gun/bolter
Yeah I love the infantry with exe
executioner's stance is what you're referencing
not marksman's
every step i take
there is a hole in my heart
also the infantry lasgun/helbore do more damage at range than up close
shaped like a helbore lasgun
I meant more like the play style
Guys guys stop, stop all of you I HAVE URGENT NEWS, STOP TYPING THIS IS IMPORTANT I I NEED YOUR ATTENTION FOLKS CALM DOWN FOR A SEC CALM DOWN!!!
Mr E is a furry.
Thank you for your attention.
ā¦
is this something to do with helbore lasgun
Idk who that is
Anyways
never mind
I actually really do not like the helbore that much
I like the really chunky one
But I get it
They're really tough to use
The zoom would be nice if the sights weren't really weird
Itās the swap speed that gets me
I forget my ranged weapons have specials so it becomes a problem
I think that's why it has the bayonet
To compensate for that a bit
Least Iām not stuck with the shit irons
am i just cooked or am i just not noticing this swap speed
But why use the heavy helbores bayonet when you can make a foot long tunnel through their chest with a normal shot
In a big horde fight, your guy stopping to cock a lever on the helbore becomes the longest thing ever when you're trying to turn a trapper to ash
the swap speed talents are only noticable on suuuuper slow weapons
Itās 0.25~0.3s faster
which for vet would be the Helbore and Bolter
Even then it's not really something you pay attention to, but you sure notice when you don't have it anymore
yup
this makes sense
it's the base at this point
but counterpoint: itll be so fucking good
I just hit e for exy stance lol
Or f
Sorry
I always take exhilarating takedown
this might be my most cursed talent tree yet
What are you doing
I don't because like hell am I spending a skill point on Longshot
worthless ass skill
it's like
you should go into the morningstar and find a random guy with a horrid skill tree
And copy
either i never use the bolter on veteran due to hating having to reload that thing
or i take this fuckass dip
That's why I use marksmans focus
I was like: this could be a nice anti special thing!
And then I tested it
couldn't you you just use out for blood and take the reload speed talent that's over there
10% reload boost
Only STARTS providing damage at 12.5 meters and beyond
And only gets the actual advertised 20% at fucking 30 meters?
where are you getting this reload boost
30?
Marksmans focus
I also put it on the bolter itself
yeah but
oh i see it now
its marksman focus
sorry bud
yeah getting 1% reload speed per stack is not something i'm gonna sacrifice the versatility of either WS or FT for
This is very nice for lasguns though
i'd much rather take an idiotic dip for volley adept than that
Marksman focus, why you so garbo?
I mean there's also a finesse boost
It's not bad it's very good on specific weapons
the bolter, when magdumping, is a little tough to keep a bullet in the chamber with
It's just not really generally applicable
it's not bad at all
Okay, and magdumping the bolter is a bad habit
it's just
So taking that talent will reinforce better gameplay
yeah but gun go RATATATATATATA
I would not use marksmans focus on a braced auto
but on infantry weapons yes
Or a bolter
MF is great, but FT is just so much better for most situations and the attack speed for WS makes clearing a walk in the park
Helbore, Bolter, Infantry Lasguns, Infantry Autoguns, and to a lesser extent the Vigilant Autoguns get a lot of value out of Marksman's Focus
I like the infantry autogun with the cloth on the stock
Since at low stacks it easily enables breakpoints that people usually take focus target for, and at high stacks provides a generous amount of extra damage into tanky enemies
a couple stacks of marksmans focus and then you are expending 1 bullet per shooter
or just exy stance
works with the vraks too
56 bullets
Really want more experimentation on the other skills, almost all the time I see VoC instead of good builds for the other skills
and that is a skill issue, and i'm willing to take it
The vraks headhunter or the SMG
