Bolt pistol with lethal proximity if you're using a grenade veteran weapon specialist build or if you're feeling spicy since 3 stacks of WS gives 99% crit chance on ranged weapon swap you can use deadly accurate for +100% critical weak spot damage (make sure to use precision strikes, and get those headshots)

Laspistol with infernus +desperado + shock trooper you can use the free crit chance to get some nice ammo economy and burn stacks (i like this with fleshtearer + uncanny knife to ramp both dots)

plasma mostly for always prepared to forgo the reload + the normal nice things that come with the WS path on talent tree (reciprocity/on your toes, etc, etc)

Charge rate affects left click’s pre-fire delay therefore firerate, so it’s not a dump stat and u want as high as possible (which there’s only room for 71~72)
Plasma actually needs very high damage & stopping power stats to hit breakpoints

Maybe. I havent encountered that many. I usually use smite to get my peril high for damage buffs on a scriers gaze build (sword and gun) after my ability went on cooldown. And i usually only use it for: controlling dog waves, to explode poxbursters from a save distance and as a panic button when the team gets overwhelmed in a bad spot by a horde or a specialists patrol
