The way to prevent melee damage is well, yeah shooting things from a distance but also, blocking

for anyone else who wants to get the long bomb penance pretty easily
do the mercantile stimm mission in the carnival (the one where you open the roof)
wait at one of the gates that open periodically and let poxwalkers through, close the get directly behind you, and ask to leave the other gate directly across from you open
then, when the first group of about 4-6 poxwalkers comes through the other gate, long throw grenades at them, and if you are in the right spot and aim at the right spot, you should hit them

Pop a few heads with lasgun and caxe for 5 seconds before repeating I was told shotgun is better at this cycle but I hated using it for some reason

You can also just put down the caxe and blast away with recon if you feel like it for some reason

I could use some input. I’ve been spamming Havoc for a while and got bored of the meta, so I’ve started experimenting with different weapons and ults. I’ve really fallen in love with the Helbore, but I’m struggling to use it effectively. I thought pairing it with Infiltrate would be awesome for sniping, but it all falls apart if my teammates go off like headless chickens.

When I get rushed by something like a Rager pack, I can’t swap to the Helbore fast enough, and I don’t really want to fall back on the usual DS or Rashad and obviously can't crutch on VoC stagger. I tried the shovel, but it’s just not clicking for me. Now I’m wondering if switching from Out for Blood to Confirmed Kill would help my toughness regen, but I don’t want to give up One Motion either.

Anyone have some tips or suggestions on how to make this work? I thought about giving DClaw a shot, but also not sure about that...

I have also experimented with both Helbore MK3a and 4. While I prefer the shooting of 4, I seem to automatically play worse with it just staying behind the team and sniping

If you want to avoid voc you could save points going for exec instead and reinvest into desperado and further melee talents

Demo Team is sufficient in havoc for grenade regen imo, save the point.
You could also go keystone less, its what i do with helbore
