once you hit difficulty 4 and above you lose one column of hp, one column is called a wound and you lose one everytime you go down or when enemies manage to do enough corruption damage and if you go down with less than one wound you straight up die and will need to be rescued when you respawn

I don't even think it needs Melee synergy. The biggest issue with it is that if you do melee at all, there goes all your stacks and you need to rebuild for each shooting gallery, and hope that no Poxwalker Horde/Mauler wave/Pack of Ragers decides to ruin your day.
