Elden ring has shite built in coop
I dont know why they gimp themselves this heavily there is no way it generates more revenue
The coop is meant to be supplementary to a single player experience, but conveniently mods can change that.
Fatshark won't let us mod gameplay like that 
And elden ring is the sink or swim formula that doesn't need this kind of monetization
honestly all from soft coop has always been jank n shite
as much as I am a mega fan of their games
and although elden ring is their strongest game for a first run
man that game has 0 replayability
when the dlc came out I actively had to force myself to replay it and was bored the entire time
But fs does have a good track record with modders
so much is built on exploration which you cant really get repeat value on

testers have said before time and time again their feedback isn't always taken seriously
I love lowering my dps, and having half the personal durability of stealth for questionable benefit

and the tester bunch are not like a cabal there are mixed opinions
also you absolutely can still melee headshot them, though its more about the safety it provides, also you'll be playing with your other melee nerds so you can boost em
so the chainsword is like... not terrible but it's also not that great
it excels at only horde clear and is sorta slow elsewhere
its not some super secret cabal of all tryhard elitists or all carebears who cant play the content they test etc like whatever reddit spews ignore it

yeah the dueling sword is stacked, if you use that you can ignore taking melee skills really as it doesnt need them
same with the power sword
power sword is a great all rounder

in my experience fighting ragers with shock maul involved switching to ranged and kiting them lmao
switching to range is almost always the easiest and fastest way to kill ragers to be fair
its almost like its the less monkey brained solution
I find that it just doesnt feel as smooth as crusher bonking
I very much stand for the "dont fight your enemies at their strongest" approach
then again crusher is pretty busted weapon
i recently tried crusher for first time since level 2 zealot and holy sigma
like its really fast which isnt what I'd expect
it did fine
I'd think more like... real slow hammer type weapon
though generally I dont tend to like weapons that knock enemies around more than it kills them
thammer heavies are pretty slow

two handed swords were always going to be the ideal weapon for horde fighting
as although that will nuke bosses
the relic blade really isnt that slow at killing them either, while being infinitely better at everything else
And not having a massive debuff to using the powered mode
And having an easier moveset
honestly just rework the thunder hammers... have the activation be automatic on charged heavies
they have the advantage over polearms of having simply more deadly area on them
but also long reach
and versatile techniques
and speed

this has been a known bug for the entire lifetime of the game

the new ogryn stubber for example
I'm not entirely sure on the specifics
but theres something about moving while firing
causes your weapon to jank and teleport around
your aim will randomly snap back to center
rather than fixing it they just adjusted the sway and recoil of the bolt weapons to lessen its impact though it still happens
I assume it has something to do with the game being held together with paper mache and used condoms
As well as fatshark using unconventional methods of making gunplay work
Which explains why recoil is so weird and jank in this game compared to other shooters

my havoc set up
swapping out stealth for VoC depending on mission/party
though for regular damnation I ditch a lot of stuff to get weapon spec
no frags, no grenade tinkerer
no demo team, then weapon spec and 3 of its support nodes
could drop agile engagement if you wanted and grenade tinkerer to grab survivalist n save some points
honestly it's a super flexible weapon though agile is... very good for it
my noodle brain always forgets to whip out the gun to shoot something for the free damage with agile engagement
good way to train yourself
just remember which enemies you need the boost for
if you are running weapon spec and have the guaranteed crit
I will not
a melee kill lets you body shot gunners with grit
if you kill something with bolt pistol
agile lets you one tap shotgunners
with the knife
it's not a lot to keep track of and is a huge boost
if you dont care for it though then yeah you can save a lot of points dropping it
just drop most of the right side take voc, go down and be able to get weapon spec
oh hey that's convenient I usually remember to switch to ranged weapon to one shot shotgunners that are annoying and backwalking in crowds anyways

that ability is insanely boring, and even getting the penance for it was enough to put me off of it forever

dropping stealth, agile engagment, speed aura
will get you 5 skill points you can spend elsewhere
which is a lot

its working in a way its not intended to atm the way its supposed to work is say you hit 40 all youd need to do to stay there is play atleast one game on someone elses a week the way its working rn tho is say you hit hav 40 then the next week you only play one match and its a have 25 itll reset you to hav 25 even

as youll need to hit weakspot once to start procing uncanny aswell

something you can do tho is run it w weapon specialist use double barrel and have manstopper and flechette so you can blast w shotgun to proc bleed so you can immediately put mercy killer to work the killing them w knife will have reloaded gun killing another two will then guarantee another crit for gun rinse repeat
ontop of manstopper absolutely mulching hordes
the double barrels fun but kinda rough on vet though
since you dont have access to like... throwing knives..
for convenient ranged elite clear
its works the absolute best on vet out of everyone
idk I feel like weapon specialist boosts it the most
but zealot uses it fine
especially since they have already giga high crit, and throwing knives to make up for its other weakness
so it really comes down to do you wanna be weak against certain enemies? or do you wanna have to reload?
w vet your getting guaranteed man stopper and flechete shots every time and not having to worry about reloading
and even if something is at range jusy use both shots

I also hate them and hate people using them in VT2 and have since even that game released
they are super not fun to have on your team
they're the least offensive of the offensive weapons
trauma staff is infinitely more hate worthy
I would disagree primarily on the note that Flamers (without a mod) directly prevent anyone else from engaging in the game because they completely blind you
on top of being so overpowered that they kill everything more or less on their own
Trauma is annoying if the person using it is irresponsible
nothing makes me want to alt f4 harder
level 400 true survivor spamming trauma staff and doing like 20 damage and staggering shooters on havoc
while I'm trying to play exe stance vet
smite psykers and plasma gun vets who exclusively kill the things you engage in melee are a close second tho

there is this pus modifier that is ranged dmg resistance
feel like youre immensely underselling how far the db can actually shoot
and I'm pretty sure it applies to throwing knives
but not to something like say, shredder grenades, cause it does its damage as a dot
its less that you can't shoot far, its more that you cant shoot far for spread enemies
and dots are exempt from that resistance
I've headshot a pus hardened trapper with a full charged MK IV helbore shot with 6 focus stacks and it didn't kill them
you need to single shoot twice to kill something at mid range
pus hardened skin is insanely overtuned
and if you do that you have no shoot left for others in the same bracket
(while in exe stance)

I vastly prefer infantry and headhunter autoguns for this ngl

they don't make their ticking noise, or anything
from my understanding the audio only bugs in two instances
and its to do with spawn doors, and tilesets having weird errors when used in newer maps
so if you stand on a spawn door you might get silent insta flopped
but outside of that it's set places and I can only really think of two
Anyways bursters are the bigger obviously use bash against but I’ve used it against maulers where they’ve tracked me around corners to stop them from overheading

- Beginning of Smelter Complex, on the high ground of the split-level area, specials spawn to the right from a set of catwalks and drop down. Bursters can spawn up there and instantly jump/detonate you, but only from the left-hand catwalk.
- The mid-event waiting for the elevator to come, due to redesigning the space, there's a set of double-doors where enemis spawn now instead of the fence that used to exist and be vaulted over. Bursters can spawn and instantly jump.
- The second medicae you reach after killing the first daemonic growth (after leaving the previous elevator) -- you go up a slim hall of stairs before reaching another drop. There's a door right behind that drop off point where Bursters can spawn and instantly jump.
- The large open room after the next airlock (after the above drop off) is fucked up in a bunch of places since they completely gutted/redesigned that room. You'll still hear specials, but the sound is still trying to propagate around walls and floors that no longer exist so a Special that's on the upper level which you can see with direct line of sight from below will sound exceptionally far off.
That third one has always existed since launch. People continue to whack through the door and into the spawn point and often kill themselves outright if two Bursters spawn into the spot. Especially fucking funny if it happens after their entire team already dropped down but they didn't.
And that first one is exceptionally rare. You have to be hugging the wall right underneath that catwalk. That's the only time you will be close enough to be in jump range for the Burster to just spawn > jump instantly
