at a very basic level if they just changed all instances of power on generic hit/kill to damage you could at least give it competing utility compared to cleave or impact blessings
and then power could be reserved as a Special Reward™️ for doing specific/cool stuff

like chainaxe would suck donkey ass without slaughterer-headtaker

its a posterchild example of what happens when you gut strong blessing while being too lazy to consider what it does to weapons that rely on it
surgical is also far more egregious. but before it was able to stack to 100% it was straight up useless

laspistol is like a trolley problem where you either hit headshots, or you hit crits, or you do no damage

it is in almost all ways the knife of ranged weapons
yeah, funnily enough knife also has a ton of problems for the game
knife at least gets the coolest way to fight individual ragers in the game

block-trading a push attack into special punch is so sick i wish ragers didn't spawn in herds
knife feels like it has the issues that axes have, or rather it should have them, in that its a single taret weapon in a horde shooter, but it can clear decently and still does strong single target
For Havoc Hardened Skin Run and Hide IV is really good, coupled especially with Don't Even Bother IV. Run and Hide helps to proc Don't Even Bother quicker. For Perks I usually run Headshots Don't Matter which gives you a +20% to finger numbness, and Why Do I Even Have a Gun that adds +20% to your swap weapon speed
