Check guide
After 7 years in development hopefully it’s been worth the wait
ive always wanted a chainaxe. is this worth the price, as i don't have any chainaxe xp?
i noticed it has vanguard swings which is odd because i remember chainaxe horde clear being quite bad, but maybe it's a better weapon now? idk
Tanner is the angry Gremlin to E's ... something
It’s
Lack luster
But useable in horde
Its main purpose it’s fucking deleting single targets
It’s also like wearing cement shoes
yeah i know but i never ran it because it was absolutely terrible at hordes
but if it's at least a bit better than it used to be, then that's cool
hmm
You just have to get used to its downsides
being slow doesn't sound fun either
Mk4 is arguably better
me trying to get Killshot Ready: 😴
Yeah comparing it against the 12
oh
You're looking at heavies to cleave the horde (with the push attack mixed in), but with like 3ish enemies, you can just spam the lights. It's completely not meta, but I adore mine with Thunderous and Bloodletter. Been using it even on a Purgatus Psyker to enable burn (and bleed) on armored targets and monstrosities.
Thunderous ends up being kinda wasted on autogun/reconlas vet because I think it shares stacks with Onslaught. I also really liked it on Zealot with Flamer—the non-magical purgatus psyker, lol.

Funny to note that with those blessings, a single rev plus the bleed afterwards kills a crusher on Damnation.

In practice, you don't want to just let the Crusher bleed out for like 10s, but knowing that it has a death sentence is helpful and you can use any gun you like to finish him because of the Brittle.
What's Executioner's Stance again?
Mark all human sized elites, get ranged damage bonus, and refesh duration from killing marked targets
@tall torrent is there any other blessing combo for infantry laz besides deadly/headhunter?
what terrible thing can be cooked
infernus headhunter
a budget recon laz
Ghost + headhunter for IIb & VII
Ghost + opening salvo for IX
Yea

Salvo is explained in terminology -> general weapon behaviour
Opening salvo is in blessing
How do ya get "Resupply Allies" done faster?
Wave of dogs
Does anyone know what happened to Tanner's video?
💀
nothing happen to tanner
that mark of chaxe can be quite good hordeclear although Zealot makes a lot better use of both of them. Still the Mk4s hordeclear is quite good since you can slap on Slaughterer and or Headtaker on it for massive damage and cleave values, which makes the chainswords just look pathetic in comparison, but of course nothing close to comparable to OP weapons like Rashad or pswords
Question, does Tunnel Vision talent restore toughness continuously or only on gaining Marksman stacks?
Isn't Tanner and MisterE bromancing currently?
i do not know
Afaik what people expected to be a bloodbath between Tanner and MisterE become a start of an unexpected friendship
Funny how both of them get things wrong
Chainaxes have a cleave damage distribution cap of 4
After 4th target, they don’t deal any damage to further targets in cleave
I'm just remarking on their bromance hahaha
that one work on cohecency
they like inspiring presence
Not even with power boosts from Blessings such as Thrust/Headtaker, etc?
Coherency? The subtalent for Marksman Focus, the headshot one?
No, 0 x(1+40%+25%) is still 0
After 4th target it only applies stagger
Oh cause I'm using it with Exe Stance, looking for other ways to replenish toughness
Shame, guess Caxe is still a safer option
Tunnel vision is a multiplier to toughness gains (excluding certain blessings, not sure why)
Veteran melee’s variety is a bit
Oh so it doesn't give toughness on its own then
No
Man, I don't wanna only keep shouting as vet hahaha
Toxic player: you will keep voc as meta, whenever you like it or not, and you gonna like them.
Exe is strong
Me too, wish it was a bit stronger but its super useful
Plasma power sword infiltrate
At least it refills toughness unlike shroudfield on zealot
Feels weird that shroudfield doesn't give any toughness back except on the final upgrade node
Shroudfield mainly for big pp boss damage numbers
Also a callback to Kerillian Shade
Yeahh
Feels like infiltrate has much more utility
If they wanna keep buffing player power then they should combine some of Infiltrate's upgrade nodes
5 or something nodes for upgrades
Vs. all of the goodies in the entire bottom part of the tree
i mean thats not by accident
zealots is very much meant for damage and veteran is very much meant for utility
you have to opt into the opposite for each class
Imo Vet stealth should have been like Ranger Bardins Smoke Grenade
Oops! Smoke grenades mentioned
I heard there's a mod that highlights enemies in tox gas, wonder if it works for smoke nades
But it's server side only oh well
Oh I meant client sorry
For what it's worth, it's deeply similar.
since dt is a lot of fragmented and reinterpreted stuff ported from vt2.
Still waiting for Chaos Wastes for Darktide
Ashen Wastes
- Traversing outer borders
- Deserts, Canyons, Caves, Waste Dumps, Intercity Trains, Rare Oasis
Spire Wastes
- Traversing isolated Hive Spire
- Hive Lord mansions, Orbital Platforms, Space Elevator, Naval Dockyard, Collapsed Tower
Hive Wastes
- Traversing the Deep Hive
- Sewer Network, Geothermal Heatsink, Scrapyard, Underhive Slums
got it, two more years
Yeah, we'll see.
I do love the map ideas
Anyone got a build recommendation for power maul + kantrael?
I wanna say aintnoway but I know its way
Thanks for liking my hopeful dreams for Darktide haha
Kantrael... Lasgun? Shotgun?
sorry the combat shotty yeah
looking to have some fun with a build im working on, soliciting advice on structure here
which Kantrel?
whats the dump stat on the helbore
Stability
gotcha
and uh, which is considered 'best' right now? I forget since they changed the names of the weapons
i'm bored of zealot and wanna try my old kriegsman build again
the blue one is rapid fire
yellow is basically a cannon
green is in between
really dealers choice between the three
at least you can swap marks for easy and for free
IV
got it sah, thank ya sah
@tall torrent btw what are your preference for knife perks?
zealot chat wont tell me theirs' 😔
on vet, carapace + 2 stamina
what about zealot?
I don’t play knife zealot
uhhh, let me look at my knife
but usually if i run knife on zealot im running left tree for crit
Prob smth like carapace/maniac/flak
but im wondering if that isn't a problem anymore
I'm lazy and just run bleed on crit with uncanny strike. Cara and +5 crit, I think. Failing that, it's cara and maniac/flak
maybe take unyield over maniac
Maniac gives u throwing knife breakpoints mainly
Flak unyielding
i got crit chance and unyielding on mine, but maniac would probs be better. I just like unyielding for backstabs on bosses
It somewhat depends on what the gun I'm using doesn't cover.
really the bulk of knife is just crit spam on zealot for quick ability recharge
Like Bolter covers everything pretty heavily, but you'll likely be unloading into carapace and unyielding with it, so those are a bit less important on your knife.
eh ill keep it at maniac then, i like to oneshot ragers with my thorwing knives
You still can without maniac
That needs crit or uncanny I think
Anoint in blood only works with ranged weapon in hand
I always use uncanny
also being able to oneshot mutants when they come in is useful
I think mutant 1 shot is independent from maniac perk
Yes it is
U 1 shot if Crit weakspot
True
It started with a fight and ended in bed.
Perhaps a build with Weapon Specialist Keystone would work, issue is the combat shotguns are overshadowed currently
idk i dont watch either
they're both bottoms
they just had a sleepover
.. omniman?
You can push it higher on other weapons but in general, yes
Mk5
Is what you want for IAG
how do i see a weapon's crit damage stat
They're just roommates
do i swap out these perks for carapace/flak damage
Flak maniac
Basically every gun has terrible Cara adm’s
ok, 10% rending or 30% weakspot damage
Depends on your melee
i got a knife
Weakspot
true
I don't think there is any vet build that doesn't take 30% weakspot
It's too good of a talent
There is, it’s just a shitty build
*any well performing vet build
*any vet build that understands veteran 101
several on gameslantern
how good is that 10% rending though
Some swear by it paired with some other nodes
I think it's contending for a node that others say is super not worth it so...
... it's decent?
Test BPs with it, you probably don't need it
I mean just math, 30% is crazy for any class
30% more weakpoint varies heavily on weapon dou
But 30% is pretty big compared to perk 10% bonus which is not worth buying into
Pretty sure boltgun with 500 gets 800 from weakpoint then 890 on 30% weakpoint passive added
how many millions of gold do i need to roll a plasma
a perfect one? could be several million
for me it was like 1,5 mil?
Not worried about meta man just want a shotgun build
Isnt plasma just 60 stopping power dump
Dump on charge
Wait why charge
Charge dump lowers dps while stopping power just impacts stagger
Also charge impacts lmb too
i thought u needed 69 thermal
no
also no
this is wrong
this is also wrong
charge rate affects left click's pre-fire delay
stopping power affects armor-related dmg (which matters because this is a breakpoint gun)
Anything i should change on my bolter?
So what’s the ideal stats for plasma? I Thought it was 69% thermal and 71 charge.
@tall torrent heya
I did a couple of missions last night with the reworked build following your guidelines (and the ones listed in the doc), and I must say, I immediately felt a difference
But I got a question
Do you have the build templates anywhere, or no?
Wanna look into Bolter, and what I should run as my melee
Huh?
Those are some interesting choices
Well good drop all things considered
Mod
Oh.
Its a mod*
Man had me doubting my whole set up not being as close to powerful as it is
69 is nice and hot that's how i remember it
then you shout dogs away?
I prefer to just push than waste my [F]
evil is when you dodge a dog and the one behind you gets hit instead
but i agree pushing is enough most of the time
I'm not good at the game but I have played 500 hours so I picked up a few tricks
i am around 477h
humiliating dogs by standing next to a ledge and having them jump to their doom is perfection
or even spawn camping them at their door by tossing a frag or brauto spam
Average Sigma-Minoris-33 moment
Traxis-something Bursty One
gamma-315
BURSTEEEERRR
I prefer my veteran who just makes the names up 😎
Fair
i play the cutthroat as vet
Not sure what the name of the voice I picked
She's the most funny one
Male loose cannon does a better job tbh
Subjective
Them's all amateurs anyway -signed F cutthroat
O yeah that's the one.
Straight from Space-Ireland
Well loose cannon is Irish (not sure what part of Ireland)
The other two are northern and southern England
Loose cannon do be jack sparrow
Don't worry, I understood your joke
Readying kill shot
Kill shot drills engage

I have sadly gone the Shouty Vet route nowadays.
FOR THE GOLDEN FRAGGING THRONE

Put the karkin booty
Those not yet lobotomized

DISENGAGED… I’ll be back
Might be Cadia specific…haven’t heard this at all.
Nope it’s the professional
Huh. I need to spam my shouts till I hear it then
Rare that I see male loose cannons.
Cutthroat is sadly, extremely popular. Unsure about whether or not the John Darktide Veteran set up is still a thing or not.
I don't play male veteran but male professional is really fun
Maybe I'm biased because I watched a lot of the voice actor streaming on twitch haha
I mained male professional still to this day
But might change to cut throat or the other one
I only really like loose cannon for femvet
Voice actors streaming games they're in is always fun
Gianna matragano playing ultrakill was hilarious, he even got a vtuber model of his character
Did you see Alex Jordan playing Darktide in character?
Confused so many randoms he played with.
Alex Jordan voiced a lot for cyberpunk too he is amazing
He is a funny lad
My current load out to stave off repetition boredom is exe stance+lots of dmg talents and shock trooper on the slowest firing helbore, have I gone full cringe
I was so glad to get the Exe Stance penances so I could never use it ever again haha
...now I just need to get the Marksman focus penance.
get a fast firing autogun/laspistol/lawbringer shotty and get to grinding on horde head shooting
also melees count for the penance when at enough stacks but you can't move while standing
exe stance slow helbore is amusing at least for the hehe funny crusher one-shot
Yea it's not particularly difficult
Just takes a while if you keep losing your stacks
Currently doing MF penance too but why do you even bother with crab walking?
It nets you like 2 kills per horde and makes the game feel awful
2 kills per horde?
My brother I got like 250 kills for it on Metalfab last night
See horde
Crouch
Powersword
Profit
2 Extra kills I mean
Because if you crabwalk you don't lose stacks by moving
Like you stack it so fast if you hit headshots it really does not seem worth it to me to cripple yourself just to maintain stacks
And if you're meleeing if doesn't matter
I've got the higher stacks node so I can't take the crab walk node
It's more because it's 2,500 kills
And just crouching and chopping hordes in half is much faster than trying to do it the intended way or whatever
Maybe the crab walk node would be better for this penance
What I'm saying is you stack it to/over 10 by killing the first 2 enemies and then the kills start counting towards the penance. If you get like 50 kills per horde you save like 2 hordes over all by crab walking which really doesn't seem worth the pain you cause yourself and others. imo
Doesn't it take more like 4 kills to get to 10
last i checked you still dont lose stacks when crouch walking, even with the 15 MF stack talent
so you can take whichever you prefer
I hear you. What you're saying makes sense.
I'm still gonna crabwalk because it's simpler for me, but it's all good.
You're right. For some reason I thought hitting weakspots gave you stacks too. Then it's 4 hordes you save by crabbing. I'd still personally rather not do that
Fair enough
I think hitting weakspots lets you move without losing stacks
3 stacks per kill as far as I remember
Yea 3 stacks per weakspot kill, 3 seconds for hitting weakspots, 6 seconds for weakspot kills
Makes sense
Is there any quicker way of getting Armourbane aside from just Krakking any crusher or Mauler you see?
Every armored enemy counts, not just carapace
True but it feels like a waste of a grenade using it on anything less than that
I agree, but I was just pointing out that if you manage to see a group of scab gunners or something tightly packed you can nuke those too
Keep using them, always have one regenerating so you never miss out on the free grenade cooldowns. Other than that it's just playing
Oh yea it's not a hard one, just a long one
77 games as Veteran rn with like 150 to go on armorbane
i would say run triple kraks + both grenade regen talents
play aurics
fire everything
Dis good plan
I am smort but only on Thursdays
that's good, we can work with that
I've been playing a lot of Heresy mode lately (finally). It's not good for my stress levels
Its a bit like Babysitting
when i leveled my weapons i should go into damnation
I feel like Damnation might end me
Auric heresy is more difficult than damnation
Unless you get modifiers like pox gas
Heresy is a bit funny that it's harder than damnation due to dogshit teammates
... pox gas is one of the worst
pox gas is a free win?
It's annoying for sure but you get 50 med stims shoved up your ass. It's super free
I hear that a lot
But maybe I'm the bad teammate
just heal whenever you get hit
the problem the gas induces brainrot by teammates
I've been cherry picking Heresy matches with no modifiers to get used to it
Can't get better if you're not challenging yourself
If you don't go down for like three missions in a row on one difficulty you can go to the next imo
i am lazy thats why i am still auric heresy
I spent like 2 years playing Malice
I'm a slow learner ok 👀
Hey as long as you're having fun let nobody tell you how to play
taps the sgn
Auric Maelstrom lvl 1 lets go UwU
It was fun, but deep down I know I need to move on up
No templates yet
Yes
i did this w vermintide 2
i only just started playing damnation and im struggling to adjust tbh
but like I keep having to clutch games
I moved up to malice really quickly
Then just stalled heheh
thats valid tho
it is just a game
thats why we play pve
you do not have to be a sweat
its mostly that dogshit players typically don't actually improve + there's more rewards on higher difficulty
so you get a lot of "crutch" moments where teammates are leeching off better players
True. Though I'm pretty proud of my performance in Heresy so far
Aside from that embarrassing trapper incident ...
yeah i see it way more on damnation than I did on heresy
had one team that got wiped like 3 or 4 times and I had to rez them as stealth vet before i got sniped rezzing them
Had my back to a wall so didn't expect to get netted from behind.
And it was at a drop down, so it was a slow embarrassing death
shit just happens tho
its darktide
everyone gets netted eventually
Ahh I don't want them to think I'm salty
get netted > log off > get on vt2 > forget you dont have toughness > die > log off > get on darktide
The group wiped on the way to rescue me though

rip
You win some & you lose some
What melee weapon for Vet other than dueling sword
Shovel and Knife are my favourites
Are any of the other swords viable?
I have a power sword currently but I wasn't impressed
I use Power Sword
Yea I mastered them all since the L&L update and hated power sword
Yea power cycler made it a bit better
Is the other sword viable?
I'm really liking knoife right now
Fun to 1tap mutants as they charge at you
Struggle with Ragers a little though
Haha. That sounds rude.
I do try to be a team player 😎
ask them politely to stop
1 or 2 Ragers is ok
But when 7 spawn on your butt, it's "guess I'll die" time.
if only the Vet class had a gun 😔
Gun can't save you from 14 pizza cutters surrounding you
get a gun with 7 rounds

recon lasgun can
I should probably look into how to build a Recon.
I think mine has headhunter and dumbdumb on it
But at work so can't check
I think at the time people were recommending it.
yeah. 30 meters is like... basically the diameter of the training room.
it's huge
most rooms in the game are smaller than 30 meters wide.
So it's good then?
as close range is literally what is actually ever relevant yes
(tbf it does drop off from 100% to 0% starting from 12.5m away but)
...although I think that's also scaled with a weapon's effective range.
And the one with the <torrent> property seems to be the popular option
just a must-take
I hope for them to MAKE INFANTRY LASGUN GREAT AGAIN
I mained infantry Lasgun for a long time, since I prefer single-shot over brrrrrr
I wanna cosplay as John guardsman, I just want a normal lasgun
and then there's the mk2 which is brrrrt, parkinsons version
Oh yea. I likes the one that just goes Thoom though.
I hope we get a good single shot gun that isn't Helbore someday 🙏
I guess there's revolver, but I mean like a rifley type one
actually they are DMRs
Yea took me a bit to figure them out
fast melee weapon dodge like knife or dueling sword will beat that. or run away and plasma / zerona / IAG them to death. even with the buffs recon feels at least 1 tier lower.
usually "spawn on your butt" actually means the fucking zealot aggro dumped on you again. just gotta be more aware/safe with these pervert priests running around
Whats the Zerona? IAG is infantry autogun I guess
https://darktide.gameslantern.com/weapons/quickdraw-stub-revolver/zarona-mk-iia-quickdraw-stub-revolver check the guide in sticky for blessings, talents, etc.
Ah yea I like him
basically ^ that thing is powerful because it cleaves and does assloads of damage. I don't really use it because plasma seems better to me but lots of not-me players love it. Space cowboy feels
Probably should use that over the Recon
I know Plasma is the meta right now but I never liked it
I should try it again someday
did you use it with charge? try it hipfiring only. when you get to 100% charge hit the de-charge button once and fire 2 more shots. you can hipfire snipers at long range with practice consistently.
I love my cadians
charging is for the most part noob trap on plasma. there are minor situations where it's helpful but you are better off hipfiring 100% of the time IMO. this also helps you take less hits and not explode
some people want faster weaposn though.. nothing wrong with IAG or zarona they are both strong. its a prefrence. you can use any ranged weapon on auric maelstrom and win.
Will definitely give it another chance some time
Up to +5-20% Strength scaling with Heat Level.``` its cool they added new blessings like this one in itemization patch. Nice to have a new one to go with ```Gets Hot!
Critical hit chance scales by your current heat level up to 27.5-50%. Also increases critical ranged attacks damage by 4-10%.```
I was thinking of giving axes another try over dueling sword finally. I have heard they gave axes a bit of a rework. First thought was for rasheed, but is there a tactical axe worth considering now? I would like something faster safer horde clear as the requirement. Bonus "can handle other things" would be appreciated extras but not needed.
Dueling sword is perfectly fine for horde clear btw, I just want to try something newish.
I am a shovel and Knife enjoyer 🗡️
But I haven't used shovel since moving up to Heresy so maybe it doesn't hold up?
Shovel has a lot of people that swear by it in damnation+, so I think it does
It has bonk over rashad but AFAIKT its same movement speed as rashad but worse damage
it's aight for a low melee investment build
i prefer dclaw if i'm running a build like that though
it always comes back to Rashad
my preference for low investment melee is psword or heavy sword
i really dislike how heavy sword feels
psword without WS feels terrible as well
and i'm only ever running WS on melee builds
When you get 2 weapons you really like you should start doing damnation runs, just be sure to avoid hi-intensity initially. When you get comfortable in damnation try a hi-int damnation. If you can do hi-int damnation you're ready for hi-int shock trooper damnation. If you can do that start random queue'n aurics 😉
idk you get use to it
i didn't really like heavy sword much at first either
but then you line up a multi rager one shot
i was trying hsword, and it feels so wimpy compared to dclaw lol
i know it's objectively stronger than dclaw
but the feeling of the weapon is not good
I swore by psword and thought I'd never try a different weapon. Then they Fd it on unlocked & loaded so I had to switch to DS mk4. I dunno if I can go back to psword slow movement now.
i feel like the sound effects and lack of stagger on some of the hsword moves makes it just feel worse
like i'm hitting them with paper or something
yeah it's mainly the effects
but h1 feels very nice
Defences
Affects Stamina efficiency, as well as the length and speed of dashes.
Sprint Cost: [1.25 - 0.75]
Push Cost: [3 - 1]
Dodge Distance: [0.95 - 1.05]
Dodge Limit: [3 - 5]
``` what's the heavy sword sprint speed?
i know the damage output is way higher than dclaw lol
The other defensive metrics of heavy sword are basically rashad/shovel class. Not sure why I'd use it on veteran over rashad/ds/ps
specifically for low melee investment builds that don't need cara
I pretty much only use hsword for bolter build
not a bad option as a secondary
heavy sword horde clear is dueling sword level or worse?
all the attacks are sweeps except for 1 move
That 1 move one shots 4 ragers at once
🤔 light spam with vanguards for the horde clear?
Heavy sword is very good at horde clear and rager takedowns but god awful against carapace
alternating lights and heavies
Hitting multiple enemies in one sweep gives 4-10% Rending for 2.5 seconds. Stacks 5 times.``` and ```Headtaker
HeadTaker
+6.5-8% Strength for 3.5s on Hit. Stacks 5 times.``` you take these?
+7.5-15% Weak Spot Damage. Weakspot Kills also ignore Enemy Hit Mass.****``` ah ok ty
i do not know why it has a different name
heavy sword trades dealing with armor for nothing but horde clear
yeah 4-10% rending is so much worse than uncanny lul. like an order of magnitude. guess I need coffee
its like the same movement as rashad but I'd be surprised if it horde clears as well. but it looks like it would be like shovel range of horde clear?
armor and unyelding*
unyelding damage is crap too
I honestly forgot about unyielding because Recon Lasgun
i solo'ed Chaos Spawn back in the days with HSword and it was the most boring thing ever
I usually run plasma for armor though. I run unyielding on my plasma with the amount of monstrosities lately
hsword bolter is the only build my hsword ever sees
oh wait, heavy sword is missing finesse?
heavy sword don't have finesse
I have Riposte/Uncanny on my knoife but I hear some people say Precog is better
precog is better if u can proc it consistently with max stacks of reciprocity
it works very well with piety zealot because they shit out crit 1 hour after breakfast
they can also force a crit at any time by using fury or stealth
Yea. Lucky Zealots heheh
pretty sure it affects all your kills
Nope, ranged as well.
There's a vet guide on steam with some great info on each talent.
Really underrated talent.
Anyone recommend a good build to go with Accatran MK IX combat shotgun and Agni Mk Ia shock maul?
Also soliciting advice for a build I am working on with the Mk III scandar power sword and the Mk XII Accatran recon lasgun
you prob wanna lean into kraks otherwise gl killing any boss with those 2 weapons
saul/shotgun
Does it have to be those weapons?
YES
Me whenever someone asks for recommendations
I moved competitive urge 1 tier higher in talent rating
what convinced you?
Competitive Urge meta begins
how did you rank it before
Money
Between 3 RNG talents: twinned blast, 5% crit chance and competitive urge
You get:
randomly drop 2 grenades
randomly deal more damage (crit hit)
randomly deal more damage
gambling addict
The thing is
Outside of a few very high finesse orientated weapons
Competitive urge being +20% damage
path for mk 1 shovel what perks do u think will be b est now?
Kind of outscales the extra damage from crits?
Carapace/flak/maniac prob
i don't think it's dogshit or anything but it would probably be like a last pick if we hypothetically had like 35 points
there's always something i'd rather have
I mean
Would u want 5% crit chance or competitive urge if u already have reciprocity + desperado
That’s the real question
Between those 3 (which are usually last point grab)
idk i guess it is better than 5% most of the time
Cuz I was playing with tintin last night and he used power DI
but yeah i also kinda don't grab 5% crit unless it's a high finesse weapon anyways
I got avg around 30% crit chance with melee
so this isn't a comparison that even comes up
With 5% crit + desperado + reciprocity
Which is only 10% higher than the base (20%)
I don’t use powerDI so idk
But on avg it’s like 300 seconds across a normal mission?
Depends on spawn rate
so CU is effectively a 3% damage increase overall
Assuming 30 minutes, 2k total kills, you get 500 kills
Teammates’ 1500 kills x0.025 = 37.5 procs = up to 300s uptime
that's also assuming a lot of those procs aren't just overlapping anyways
hence why the optimistic value
If it refreshes while active, it’s not a bad thing even though it’s not “optimal”
And I’d much rather take comp urge than skirmisher lolol
Because skirmisher stacks once for every full 1s sprinting
I think they need to change it to moving instead of sprinting
might be funny for stripped down memes
i think it needs to be more granular and stack smaller stacks faster
like make it more stacks but stack every 0.5s
shotgun and power maul recommended builds?
I’d rather it be 3 stacks total and stacked from “moving”
see you want it to be absolutely free to stack and not be interesting at all
This would just be up all of the time
if it requires a little bit of deliberate sprinting, that makes the node a bit more interactive to play around
but a full second is too much time
I want it to not suck shit or be removed completely b/c that tree is already bottom heavy
It could stack faster in sprint
0.5s or maybe 0.3s would be a lot easier but still require some deliberate attention
U could go with like
5 stacks total, each stack 3% (total 15%)
Stacks once per 1s moving (sprinting gains 1 stack/0.5s)
But it needs to actually stack up
Cuz rn it’s just not working right
1 second of just straight up sprinting just doesn't happen in combat
at some point people usually slide during that
I’m not saying it needs to stack from dodges like zealot’s IJ
But it needs to be able to actually stack in combat lol
it's a shame that talent just exists as a newbie trap
25% damage just for running sounds huge until someone looks at their buff bar during a fight and realizes it's never up
maybe melee headshots should prevent focus loss for a few seconds?
What mod gives these details?
I think they want to design a talent based around movement, but the current conditions are not good
scoreboard + loadout monitor
Also, now that I'm really pushing Auric/Maelstrom, how does the Penance for the titles work? Is it beating 5 Auric Maelstrom Missions in a row, or is it not dying and completeing 5 Auric Maelstrom Missions in a row, ditto to 10 for the 'lesser' title?
Exemplar: win 10 auric missions (any difficulty) from start to finish without dying
Storm survivor: win 5 auric maelstrom (always damnation) missions from start to finish without dying
Without Dying. Well heck, broke my chain three missions in and didn't even know it.
Cheers, thanks Guider.
Watch the barrels and don’t join in progress games because those will absolutely fuck your streak
competitive urge's on screen effect (when active)
focus target's on screen effect (max stacks banked)
surely people will be able to tell in a pinch if comp urge is up
What is competative urge? 🤔
2.5% chance to get +20% T.damage, +20% M.stagger and +20% T.suppression whenever any enemy dies (not to u) anywhere on the map
In Aurics isn't that 100%?🤔
It’s on avg 1 activation every 40 kills by others
Which, for a 2000 kills game, is around 300s of uptime at best
a psyker with purg staff give you high chances proccing
horde is a prime
Meh
It's from kills
Not hits
So any weapons would be good to proc it
(any weapon that kills)
I wish skirmisher was better
you like shirmisher at first?
I liked it until I realized it was hardly ever doing anything
It just needs to include moving
sprinting does give disavantages
Having to sprint a full second to stack/refresh is not happening often during combat
True
U can’t stack from sliding
If u sprint 0.9s, slide, you need to sprint another full 1s to stack
Which is just
there's delay right?
Wdym delay
What delay are u talking about???
if you just do anything that's not sprinting, you won't gain a stack
when your character stop sliding and uncrouch has to sprint again, does it have initial delay?
Read?
so theres initial delay
No delay, it only starts counting when you sprint
.
i guess you could interpret that as 1 second delay before gaining a stack
Sprint 1 second (1 full second has passed) = 1 stack
yes
I see
initial delay my means from sliding your character after get up it didn't sprint has to press shift to sprint again make there initial delay.
yeah
I’m not watching that
Don't worry I'll do it for you 🫡
Idk why u enjoy watching bait so much
didn't he make a video like this a couple days ago?
is he gonna not be wrong about out for blood this time?
It's not bait unfortunately 😔
He removed it
Why
When will you understand that it’s all bait
He's serious
Seriously baiting yea
last time i made it 6 minutes into the video before he criticized a node he was completely wrong about
he thought out for blood worked like blood redemption
and would be like 5% of the 5% on the melee kill toughness
I suspect many of you do not know any Swedes and therefore do not understand Swedish humor
But it’s bait
He could unironically learn a lot from my guide
He's Swedish?
tanner is new player, pls understand
Idk lol someone said he was
That explains his racism tbh 🤔
I'm not baiting 😔
wtf is that garbage reupload
since he deleted the original video
Maybe I should make some guide video or smth
he probably said too much embarassing sht
and decided to remove the video entirely
then reupload the "fixed" one
Path comes in and everyone hates him 😔
As the saying goes, even Jesus had haters
if you want to make an entire video out of vet guide
thats will be like 3 hours long
That’d be like 10 hours
Minimum
I have a profound level of contempt for “commissar role play” veterans
Don't Commisar use DS tho? 🤔
Chainsword is just
Maybe I should change the weapon overview pages to be the tier lists
It's not rly there fault. This is Warhammer, u see the chainsword and immediately know how iconic it is
I don’t think there’s much to argue abt my weapon ranking
What is interesting about Tanner is he never mentions the Rashad
well last vid i saw a bunch of people correcting him
i only got a few minutes into the video though
Imagine him coping in a Path video about it
Yea cuz he builds it wrong
He was running BM + thrust
wtf
is your correct is Bm + ht?
yea
I still don't see if there's legit argument to move anything in here
He's gonna fume when he sees mk 3 knife soo low
It’s not low tho
to him it is
Decent is “good enough”
Yeah but this is Tanner we are talking about
He will die on a hill even if that hill is empty
move autopistol to zero trick
the mk9 being only one trick
no one uses it
poor mk12
Autopistol staggers rager in 3 shots iirc
Howw the mighty have fallen
on Rashad!?
When he was in this server almost a year ago he was saying Rashad 2 tap crusher with thrust
what about everything other than Crushers...
does non-Headtaker even reach consistent breakpoints?
It had thrust back then? I've never even given it any thought
But it’s pretty limiting for talent choices
headtaker bm was always just so strong
imagine if tanners video is just compilation info from your guide
I still use it
Always did, just not very good
but im not watching that, since the guy is a tard
He prob doesn’t know abt the guide since he’s not here
sometimes these kind of people lurk here and there
on alt accounts
I doubt it
I keep seeing mention of the Mk1 & Mk2 variants of the Lucius-pattern Lasgun, but only see 3a, 4, and 5 available as marks in-game.
idg the bitterness against tanner
im 30 mins and he hasnt said anything wrong
the problem is not only he's spreading a lot of BS info
such as?
Do I rly gotta watch a Tanner video and pick out everything wrong
So what new names do the old names correspond to?
he's never said not to use uncanny strike, just that precog is better, which is objectively true
uncanny strike has uses
like with a purgatus psyker
🫢 🍿
Precog is only better for zealot
And that’s mainly due to duellist working the way it does
Uncanny is definitely bis for psyker
im going boot up and tell you in a moment
theres instances where its good for vet also but yeah, its a nuanced topic
and the fact that you can reach 75-95-100% crit rate on zealot
It’s ok at best for veteran when uncanny gives u much safer breakpoints for basically no investment
agree to disagree
He just doesn't script his videos or test things so he just says things that are wrong.
Like he made the whole curio video and gave a review on toughness regen without knowing how toughness regen works. Someone corrected him in the comments and he admitted he didn't know, you can probably find it
The deleted video from yesterday had him harping on out for blood when he was completely wrong on how it worked. He could've tested it in 10 seconds but didn't bother.
At least he deleted the vid though
The deleted video from yesterday had him harping on out for blood when he was completely wrong on how it worked. He could've tested it in 10 seconds but didn't bother.
i mean, at least he made the effort to correct his stuff
I think the fact that he needs to be constantly corrected is a problem
I didn’t publish my guide until majority is complete & verified
I will give credit where it is due and say it is good when he tries to correct himself
but the way he tries to establish himself as being correct when he doesn't test shit is just irritating
which IAG do people like these days? V?
5
nah
Issue being with talent stuff
Like ahhh
Fast weak hit Mk 1 -> Mk V
Balanced Mk2 -> MkIIIa
Slow hit hard mk3 -> IV
I dunno
hes form the depths of 4chan, I can care less
I wish I knew how both blessings worked! Or the relative increase between vet and zealot
so you couldn't care less? or could care less?
If you can spend fewer points on vet and not take one of the blessings it is just
Then better for one class
what’s out for blood again
Pizzaaa
:>
Its not about being able to agree to disagree i do think it's just more objective
i wonder, if we ask FS to make this a baseline
and perks? damage vs something I imagine.
would that be embarassin
vet node for 5% toughness on any kill
ur mom
Dumdum/Deathspitter (Fire Frenzy)
Deathspitter buffs damage on all distances
perks flak maniac
The difference is, zealot gets a +100% finesse increase to critical weakspot hits from duellist (+50% from weakspot, +50% from crit) which translates to almost 500 extra damage
Veteran doesn’t have remotely close benefits (at most +55% finesse to Crit weakspot)
So with precog, zealot gets a whopping +160% finesse bonus on Crit weakspot, while being a class that forces melee crits out super easily
add all insane stacked TDR on top of that
he actually thought it was 5% out of 5% from melee kills, adding like 0.25% toughness
You know, like how zealot's works but with a much lower number.
But in reality it's an actual 5% toughness on any kill
gambling addicts
oh lmfao
what an idiot
B4b working like how it actually is worded
it's an understandable mistake considering how zealot has a similarly worded node, but this takes like 10 seconds to test if you have creature spawner installed
Precog’s main upside over uncanny is better boss damage scaling (knife doesn’t have low unyielding ADM, but has very high crit finesse on unyielding)
well to be fair at first i thought it worked like that too
Like not knowing is whatever, small detail.
Not testing before publishing a video is what bothers me
mmm yes knife killing bosses faster than thunder hammer
this is balanced
Hope the hard-hitting one isn't the one where you slash with your bayonet, rather than stab. (Can't remember)
but it only took a short test to notice it works differently
it is, unfortunately
I wish people actually knew what they were talking about (verified) before presenting their takes
same!!
(gameplay help, psyker chat)
This game has such a history of not being accurate or intuitive with descriptions.
Publishing informative work should come with testing and not just assumptions based on descriptions
@broken spade this video he call out for blood is borderline strong
ok good he fixed it
i love out for blood on my graia braced gun combine inspiring barrage
his deleted video has him say "why would anyone pick this?"
Is there a mod somewhere that allows me to enable any talent buff on myself
In meat grinder
well CK is the better option in almost all builds anyway
i wish there was, i couldn’t find any though, the closest is loadout config
maybe ask in the modding discord
I wanna enable competitive urge in meat grinder to check what breakpoints it may enable
impossibru
Also I just wanna say competitive urge uptime is
meaning: bad?
check dms @tall torrent
I’ve always wondered about it but never took it over stuff that’s more reliable
For the Recon XII is it better to run infernus with headhunter or dumdum? And do you run flak with maniac or crit chance?
If u activate VoC once every 30s on avg in a 30 minute game, that’s up to 600s of CQKZ uptime (15% close damage)
If ur teammates get 1500 kills, that’s up to 300s of comp urge uptime
I’ll let u decide which one is better
competing with VoC is always a tough sell
Dum dum + deathspitter/infernus
flak + crit chance
Now the funny thing is
Right…
I don’t think CQKZ enables much in terms of new breakpoints?
Why is woods here
He hasn’t played the BO1 campaign
The numbers
Skin him
I have?
Poopy head?
Go home to this or be bad at darktide
I’ve yet to see the creature
This isn’t zealot chat oops
It's just boss dps
I’m having indecisiveness between 9 talents:
5% crit chance
CQKZ
Rending strikes
Competitive urge
Skirmisher
Target down
Focussed fire
Twinned blast
Field improv
All within 1 point’s reach
oh lawd
I guess duck&dive could be in there too but
I checked and it’s more funny than useful
Imagine if you had 5 more skill points
Run into fights with basically about as much damage as 5 headtaker stacks up
blink S-O-S if youre being held hostage
Rending strikes is a mixed bag cause 10% rending can be absolutely fucked
On some weapons
Mainly VAs
Rending strikes gives like 1 new crit related breakpoint on crusher if I’m too lazy to tag
CQKZ gives bulwark 2 tap without crits with max redirect fire + headtaker, but doesn’t do much anywhere else
am thinking Mk 2 helbore armorbane and weight of fire
eh it is global damage but .....
I wish it was actually good
YEEEAAH
time to make a hellbore build
caps
well honbstely, if youre at the point of optimising for niche cases, i'd just take field improv
Skirmisher doesn’t stack at all in fights and it sucks
simultaneously making it good would just undercut zealot and IJs entire purpose
so its like
idk just delete it maybe lmao
would make grabbing wepspec and Onslaught feel less shitty
for those that want it
Rework it
Rework how
Vanguard was reworked
alrightie, chat. today is shotgun day. are they trash rn?
Vanguard was removed
They can rework skirmisher
gunna bust out ye ol boomstick when i get home
right now skirmishers idea is that being mobile and swapping weapons in a fight should reward you. But that's just agile engagement and wepspec
5 stacks of +3% damage (max 15%)
Stack once for every 1 second moving (stack once for every 0.5s sprinting)
Smth like that
It needs to be able to maintain stacks in combat
I was thinking stamina regen on kill
im wary about giving Veteran even more fucken damage
I also think comp urge needs to be reworked
I’d much rather if comp urge was attack speed and crit chance
Instead of this meaningless +damage that prob doesn’t contribute to anything
absolute key talent for my meme suppression build
are ya'll vet boi debate about bad key node?
I was thinking comp urge could be made into an aura type buff that just gives a random selected buff to a person within radius per kill or something like that
so claptrap from borderlands pre sequel?
Also rework grenadier
Make it like
Any elite & specialist enemy u kill has 1% chance to drop a blitz (of ur choosing) when they’re killed
In all seriousness though I think competitive urge should encourage the idea of buffing yourself and teammates
Make it funny
Nerf demo team?
