The mk12 is considered the weakest lasgun due to its rate of fire, but I like it. That seems fine, just change your blessings to something like deadly accurate and headhunter or ghost and headhunter.

I'd have to see the stats to consider whether it's worth reblessing or not, though.

mg12 shoots the slowest and hits the hardest, but ends up being worse since the 1a can hit the same breakpoints with a higher fire rate.
flak is good and unyielding is alright so definitely replace the blessings
you'll want to go opening salvo + ghost/headhunter. deadly accurate is overkill, while opening salvo is enough to push you over the edge. this also lets you get the ball rolling if you go marksman focus, then you can keep shooting without OS
i'd only go headhunter if you really like the luxury of taking shock trooper since it already has good ammo.

it can be done with most scab enemies, fastest way to do it is to throw them into groups of the scab chaff and try keep them close to the detonation

With surgical + deadly accurate it may be better to put range crit chance + maniacs
