rip that Zealot LMFAO
Oh yeah no one saved them
Lmao
I was busy with a carapace horde
I'll get the clip if I can find it
Watch Daemonhost priorities and millions of other Warhammer 40,000: Darktide videos on Medal, the largest Game Clip Platform.
Found it
Remember when they used to take two players at a time
I think we should get a lvl like that one in l4d2 where their was just witchs around every corner but instead demonhost
Is it just me, or does Vet's left keystone tree seem really difficult to utilize effectively in a pub setting
You either need to be a headshot god or turtle master to even complete the penance
Sugar cane plantation or something like that
Watch SOMEONE CALL FOR A BOOM?! and millions of other Warhammer 40,000: Darktide videos on Medal, the largest Game Clip Platform.
That fucking kingass ripper video where the white spec is the bomber has been living in my head
and this clip just makes it funnier to me
Damn
Yeah, hopefully I'd be able to finish the penance quickly enough and switch back to the tagging keystone which feels so much easier and more useful
I still wish mf stonks could be maintained a bit by melee weakspot kills
It would be extremely strong if so
Easiest way to do it is get the node that build stacks of crouching and just crouch walk around meleeing
you'd have to make it harder to obtain stacks with melee
or simply it just refreshes the current stack
not obtaining stacks with it
I guess for example you're stuck at 8 forced into a melee situation and you can simply just stall it instead of it decaying
thats what im doing lol
but then gets ganked by 6 ragers because the entire team rushed ahead xD
Thats what voc is for
tru
Or frags if your not immediately being crumped by them
Behold
Crouching helps but jesus
the vraks low level recoil
like straight up you need 70%+ to even use the fucking things when aiming
just relearned this on my hardcore veteran
I shoot and the gun legit points up
Iv only ever tried to use the single shot headhunter no clue on the burst ones
original mk3 recoil was so funny
god I've considered doing a hardcore run but I swear man
Low level 3 burst HH is hell on earth
the state of any Diff 1-4 is just
Would definetly steer clear until at least 25
its a coin toss on living or dying
thats the fun
Crouching makes me hella accurate but i usually get jumped
I think the most jarring experience is the like 20% finesse modfier knife i was using on a new character
reminded me how awful it was when I was 100%ing my HHA's
holy shit lvl 8 Vet with HHA's
😭
Im level 8 😔
ngl the Agri 9 actually has a pretty decent hipfire
begin the suffering
That's like one of the only weapons I'd say to steer clear of
(And the axes)
just not at a low level!
(Low level axes are ass)
I have this weird thing that happens to me with the double barrel.
if i hot swap to it from melee (using weapon specialist) and try to quickly fire and go back to melee, sometimes it "sticks" and feels like the fire delays.
It also sometimes feels like it gets increased recoil and jerks my camera, but other times doesn't as badly.
anyone else experience this? It seems to happen more when swapping to the shotty -> blasting a shot quickly and trying to go back to melee. Part of my theory is it has something to do with the weapon specialist buff loading in the free ammo if you're at 0/2 loaded, but haven't confirmed it
I almost feel like making one without opening salvo because the weapon resets slower in hipfire
🤫
I have a knife from when i made the character
The shotgun is currently known for yanking your camera off to Disneyland if you fire and immediately swap
Emp no give me new melees
ok so thats not just me lol
You will be boiled in a slow broiler for EXPOSING THE TRUTH

Taxe evasion
I wish they got more mobility to be a middle ground between knife and idfk
has overweight fish acknowledged it as a bug, or is it intended bc its big shot gun?
5 times?
they already are
And stronger heavies
and never again?
yall keep sleepin hard on taxes smh
Taxes are alrigh
They acknowledged it alongside the bolter aim jank, or at least they acknowledged the post where I mentioned both
When you build em
Exploits gaslight me into what I should make for a correct Taxe then
What is the most effective All-round or horde clear based one
taxe 4
I only use take uhhhh 9 I think? 7?
seeing I tend to use melee for trash
The brown one has slightly stronger lights
II IV and VII
Spam lights? Spam heavies? A mix? Curious what horde clear is
Just spam lights
spam lights
Seriously
push attacks
heavies for bruisers
Yeah, it's not particularly deep
thats good, bc the bolter aim jank is also very annoying especially on the bolt pistol. Makes it unuseable for me on high difficulties, just can't be getting fucked up by stuff like that. Its not as bad on the shotty, but still annoying.
question - this is my rashad + double barrel Wep spec build - anything you guys would change/i should improve? or is this good?
it just works
I guess you could also grab the 7 and to PA+H
BM?
Or do H+L
BM is very specific
Bistol is pretty good on high difficulties
and the taxe 4 doesnt have great movesets for it
its good if you're awesome and cool
Should rlly get deadshot if your not going exe stance imo
sweeps arent horizontal enough on the PA
Like, imo every discussion about weapons should only be done on Damnation
im so tired of the zarona
I refuse to stoop to the level of leave on seeing a weapon
but holy shit
I get so fucking tired of seeing
its not that overbearing
Ahem "Me millionth Zarona"
I would take off the bottom middle and pick out for blood and field improvisation, get krak and use the extra point for stamina delay
in theory i didn't think deadshot would help that much, bc i dont double shoot it as often as i rip 1 shot or 2 in a row and hot swap it with melee, but ok ill try it good advice
not like plasma or smyker
Nvrmind i thought u were talking about bolters
Yknow what fuck it
I'll buy one of each type and try it out
see how dumb they are
which double barrel would you guys use (and changes if you would)
noted
Second
ya its my main one, but i dont know if full bore is that good. I could always put manstopper on the first
i do like full bore vs ogryns or monsters, like on monster modifier maelstrom its helps
Both barrels is kind of redundant w weapon specialist imo
i agree
its ok when spamming the shotty tho which sometimes you want to do
but not that often
would the first be better if i swapped both barrels for manstopperor something else?
Okay curiosity note cause im screwing with the Taxe II atm
my thoery on the second is if hot-swapping and firing in something face, and back to melee, full bore is the main way to give myself a dmg boost.
but most targets die anyway if that close
is BM good on any of them
Id just keep the second wait and wait till crafting update maybe switch full bore to scatter shot
or is it more of take headtaker call it a day
I only rlly like tax axe w zealot tbh
Gravitating towards Taxe 2 moveset wise
now how do we make this thing semi-function
Blessings + Perks?
The perks are random shit cuz locks
reroll your knife I hate to say it
no
Why the node off the elite dmg and the brittlness over 25 toughness
Fuck the 25 toughness
I think the heavy one is actually kind of strong it got much better penetration
Better flak and carapace damage
Bm and decapitator i think
Bro what the fuck lmao
@tall torrent You're the stats guy
I summon you path
Honestly thats probably a safe path
Deci + Head
with the built in crit bonus
you can already do very well without shred
so i am firmly a believer of deci ht or ht bm for the II/VII
along with all the other shit you have in your tree ofc
eh poxies arent really an issue
Why no decap
Im i restarted
yes
Well seeing this is an "optimal" Blessing roll
I might go test to see if Unarmored or Maniac would be more effective
Fuck
I might do unarmored seeing i tend to use melee for hordes
Unarmored would prob be better tbh
unarmored can help for bruiser breakpoint
depends what you put in for blessings
taxe has strong flak numbers by default
On MK2 and mk7, you go BM + shred/ht
On vet you want desperado + reciprocity. Agile engagement is a nice thing to have too
Rocking BM III and HT IV
noticing if I fuck up and miss weakpoint it wont kill groaners
Unarmored might make up for that
Also, precision strikes and all melee DMG talent.
I kinda don't care abt tac axes

Pain
it's just so painfully mid
I finding aiming with H1 a bit of a pain tbh
Bro what, the SA on Taxe II actually staggers Crushers
all tac axe SP can stagger crushers
it's just that they are only single target
so u can't use them vs multi-ragers like combat axe PA
also they have super low cleave
and don't do enough dmg to activate BM vs bruisers most of the time
interesting
Muties and pouncing dogs
based
If we gamers had it my way
DS2's H1 would combo into a poke light
A la deimos
Except loopable
I might've said it, but I think there should be 4 moveset variants
Nope.
- Combo weapon with horde light start
- Combo weapon with single-target light start
- Horde lights, single-target heavies
- Single-target lights, horde heavies
You want to use lights on carapace tho (and unyielding)
Admittedly, my favorite moveset for weapons is horde light start and strike heavy start
Because when I engage the horde, I want my first stagger to come out quick
PA + H1 loop is better than spamming lights for horde (on mk7 and probably MK2)
While enemies that warrant a strike usually give me time for a heavy by virtue of sliding towards a gunner or dodging a mauler/crusher's overhead and having all the time in the world to launch a strike heavy
So to me that's the ultimate moveset
Which so happens to be the crusher's moveset
Light sweep > heavy sweep
Heavy strike > light strike
Goated push
which infantry lasgun is decent?
no sprint speed difference
dodge distance yes
sprint cost .75
think thats it for mobility
yes, but you can also spam h1 to move a bit faster
(nothing like the knife, but you do feel a slight acceleration)
I like tac axe on melee vet, anything it struggles with just gets the gun to the face
Charging heavies doesn't slow you down
yeah that's it
it's not acceleration, but the lack of deceleration
also, yes you can do dmg
I think that's pretty important when you're rushing things
agri IX hh?
4 or 1a
a bit less than agri braced apparently
is cause of how fucking Fluent
Personally I think it's been fine ever since they made the burst faster
I've used Agri IX for ages
I just like the burst rifles
lmao
Watch The oblivious nature of Damnation and millions of other Warhammer 40,000: Darktide videos on Medal, the largest Game Clip Platform.
Also here's this incident
that's the total opposite of the power sword
stop, block, activate, swing*2-3, stop, block...
its why you never see me using Powersword
I couldn't shoot through friendly ogryn
there's 2 reasons why I dont use a weapon
- its not strong enough
- It doesn't have a comfortable flow to it
PS massively hits point 2
well, that is been patched no?
Patched?
You can shoot through anyone
like now you can shoot through people
that was this patch
Since when
sadly no more stacking pinning fire on your mates
last big patch
Tells you how much I play vet
I see blue hitmarker so I assumed it doesn't go through
Guess it does
now you're like a trapper shooting through mates
i wish they could nerf that, that's like number one reason of me dying
That means you hit Carapace
they changed the color hitmarkers now
Weakspot is like a double stacked hitmarker
Crits are orange
Cara is blue
Same cleave as Helbores 💀
So 3 cleave
I think
omg
Wait I didn't realize they changed that
do grenades and rocks and things like that go through teammates?
I- never really bothered to check
I could this match im queuing into here in a second
I'm finishing up my ogryn penances so I'll check probably
I gotta make a new build though
Does the Helbore Mk3 still have 6 cleave on the bayonet?
God is it
actually bad im liking the Taxes
like i shouldn't be, I literally have a god roll Rashad
and here I am wanting to use the Taxe more lmao
Attack speed dopamine
Not even that, the fluent moveset
Able to fly through lights into a PA into Heavies without noticing any like suttering is just
pure dopamine
it's ok vs most enemies but sucks pretty bad vs carapace and doesn't deal with high mass horde well
I just rolled a carbon copy of my Taxe 2 for a Taxe 4 and then my game crashed
fml bro lmao
Gotta say
me with several god rolled rashad on 3 characters, not using them...
and they're just not interesting enough compared to most other weapons
I really wish Vets could get more movement
I feel like every other class has better movement than us
Like movement speed
Duck and Dive + Stripped down paired with Knife or Taxe or hell even the Caxes
Maybe I'
thats how we get or mobility
Whoops- Maybe I'm crazy for that
run both 5% move speed nodes
we're not the fastest but it allows us to be alive
we will never be momentum zealots sadly
but hey!
we can still make movement work
also, 3x sprint efficiency on curios helps a lot for movement
I just think for our passive aura it should be 10% instead of 5
10% move speed would be a bit crazy
5 feels too low though
we have a 5% passive one though, making it just 5% for the full on aura makes it feel weak
you got like 3 taxes, each having its own moveset and idiosyncrasies... you'll have to be a bit more specific
also, if were talking about movesets, most of the weapons are boring
yea all 3 feel bad
7 makes a bit more sense in moveset than the other two
h1 after pa is faster
since it's the only one with an actual "combo" that's not just spam heavy/light
Especially when compared to survivalist and Fire Team
mk4 is just light spam + PA
and even that is not as interesting as rashad
rashad PA is for horde stagger
tac axe PA is just another attack
i am fine dodging and pa+h1-ing ragers
like, i usually do that against 3 ragers and a horde
I love using the catachan parry on ragers
Favorite way to deal with them
on that we agree
tac axes desperately need some separation between diagonal & overhead
cleave, stagger & dmg profile
the problem is having its parry eaten by another mob
I just like how fluent they feel, but I am noticing they are slightly weaker compared to everything else and need something to boost em up
talents
with the same talents, CB6 / rashad go crazy, it's just hard to take tac axes for what they are rn
they rly need a glow up
^
It's funny, the faster your attack speed the more you can parry and this can matter less but really you should just keep dodging and killing the other enemies until it's just ragers
thats what I mean by that
So it's REALLY effective on zealot
Why use em when CB6 and Caxe are just
Pails better
Im still using taxes cause they feel fun!
just, again that reason
tac axe cleave is way too low for its dmg (since it doesn't activate BM vs bruisers)
i played a lot cb6 and caxe this last 2-3 months... i find the cb6 a bit of pain when the crowd intensifies, and the caxe a bit sluggish, especially on vet (yes even with ws)
I understand the appeal of Taxe but I also like, I've prefered a lot of other weapons over it. I feel like it's just not as interesting as a lot of the other stuff but it sort of fills a similar spot to the revolver
i dunno, i just find it easier to move and dodge dance and kill stuff
DS4 at home
sounds like they will with the weapons crafting rework
I heard they might be nerfing a lot of the more OP blessings during that but Idk
I think blessings could be more involved and niche
How so?
The shock mauls are starting on a good path
You mean less carried by meta?
Like you can carve out your own path a bit more like the skill trees
i would not invest heavily in a meta weapon rn
Stuff like this
better use fun weapons until the rework
I mean I'm just grinding all my penances
Uncanny strike is basically giving your damage output a straight upgrade at no cost (everyone headshots)
I'm about 40 from 4500
Yea
Lightning reflexes is interesting, even if not exactly something I'd like to use
I think timed block is an underutilized mechanic the player has a lot of control over
You see attacks in front of you and hear them outside your field of view
You, if the game works as intended, always know when to time your block
We need more interesting +dmg/power blessings to compete with the current meta blessings
That does sound really fun, but it also sounds like just implementing parry as a blessing
And uncanny needs to get nuked
Yeah, ideally I'd rather just have parry
Uncanny needs to get nuked more than BM does
Wild that I
Have joined to see more melee talk in Veteran than ranged
I think one interesting blessing would be more stagger/power against enemies in the middle of an attack animation
Maybe associated to the push
So pushing an enemy that's attacking you makes the push stronger
Veteran is a do-it-all class
Psyker is the more range focused class (with some super strong melee weapons)
Or maybe pushing an enemy after blocking their attack
replace uncanny with thunderstrike everywhere
Some blessings rly gotta get reworked
True, I play my vet as a revolver pick and then whatever melee weapons I feel is most fun and effective
Increased damage during enemy attacks would encourage the player to counter the crusher up close
Stuck on the Catachan lately
You don't want to dodge and attack, you want to attack before they even land it
It's an interesting timing, though not sure how feasible in the current game's pacing
Decapitator should get buffed
or its condition changed
Just make it work like headtaker but is +finesse instead of +power
Also some minor things, like activating scrier's gaze giving you a guaranteed crit on your first attack
So it hits higher numbers but doesn’t boost ur cleave or stagger
Make it interesting
i would play that
Scriers gaze needs to feel less random when I explode
Maybe reworking the crit/headshot damage formula so the crit damage buffs the damage itself and not the crit/headshot portion
slippery slope
Not sure abt that cuz then 10% weakspot is the best perk in the game
As in the ending giving a little window of immunity or something

best perk is the one helping you reach a bp
I've seen a lot of people say it's not worth using at all

Yea if 10% weakspot just made u do overall 10% more dmg on headshot, 10% elite would be entirely pointless
Instead of it being something like base * (crit damage + crit damage bonus), make it base * (crit damage) * (crit damage bonus)
Or idfk math
maybe +10% finesse
i want attack speed perks
Crit and weakspot should buff the base damage buffed by crit damage, not the oftentimes tiny-ass crit damage
+10% finesse is just +10% weakspot and +10% Crit dmg combined
I would say tho
Give us some +atk speed related blessings
Also normalizing headshot and crit damage values across weapons
Not sure why they never added these
And within weapons
yeah that would be better than just one
I just hope
Look at this
Then it’d still be the best perk in the game
We get a buff on the bolt gun
Why does unarmored take more weakspot than critical, but infested takes more critical than weakspot?
Pistol*
Why is there even a difference?
Make AoN buff atk speed or smth
It's definitely just to be different
Did Fatshark think of something specific against unarmored enemies that I didn't understand?
unarmored head?
They do have more health than flak, but doesn't that already get represented by unarmored damage values usually being higher than flak?
Each 20% drained stamina gives +1.5/2/2.5/3% melee animation speed on top of the +power buff
Boom now it’s interesting

thats cool actually yeah
I like that
i really need to try a taxe with AoN and desperation
it'd be strong but like, you are burning all of your stamina for it
Unarmored has X health and flak has Y, but unarmored takes A damage and flak takes B, but X > Y AND A > B in every case I can remember right now
And I don't fucking get why
Also I recorded sprint speed difference between pure sprint and sprint/slide
Pure sprint is ~9% faster than sprint/slide
if you hit the rthym its the same speed
Beautiful, I wanna fuck it
at least it was for me when I timed it
in Minecraft
It’s just slower
I tested with only a tiny sprint speed bonus
Main benefit is conserving stamina
and dodging
I might be an ass towards like most of game stat buffs
U do get to save a lot of stamina but it is slower
I don't like straight damage buffs, I don't like attack speed buffs
What do u want then
I'm the kind of person that would genuinely rather have nothing if the alternative is unengaging DPS increases
I would honestly remove the 10% attack speed buffs from vet and zealot and normalize the weapons so they feel good at base attack speed, for which combat axe is notoriously shit
I'm mostly fine with chastise and WS getting attack speed because it's something a bit more involved than just a passive attack speed
Until combat axes get base cleave buffed and BM target reduced, I think that’s just gonna be a net buff for an already top performing weapon
Though I inherently don't like it because mashing the mouse button is a shit way to play
U get to spend less points (in this case, none) to reach the same atk speed
I really dislike Fatshark promoting weapons like Mk4 ILG, taxes, knife and idfk what else while also not having a macro clicker in the game
I don’t mind simple +dmg/power blessings and buffs, but I also want interesting contenders against them
Certain games try to solve that by separating light and heavy attacks on the mouse and allowing the player to just hold the button down
I think if I hadnt fucked the initial slide up it'd be almost the exact same
For example, holding LMB to spam lights and RMB for heavies
But then they introduced sprint, so I'm not really going to block with shift
why is my mic so staticy too
double gross
but yeah like I said, you could have slid faster
the window needed to actually get a sprint slide is instant I think
you can hear how fast I tap the keys, no sprint required just the input for it
regardless, even though I think its the same speed even if it wasn't it'd still be better
frees up your curio perks for something else, counts as dodging, can still shoot at things
I 100% think they should add a delay to the sprint slide though
you shouldnt be able to slide anywhere near as fast as you can sprint
Yea, around 9% faster in pure sprint
7.333s in pure sprint, 8s in sprint/slide
Pretty much identical difference to what I got
should they remove knife mobility tech?
yes
Slide inherently isn’t as fast as sprint because u don’t get the +sprint speed bonus on ur weapons
yeah thats why I tested with bolt pistol
mobility bonus
so this is like, almost worst case testing
obviously this isn't going to match knife
And even without sprint bonus it’s slower over a longer distance
At least both our tests showed the same results
~9% faster in pure sprint with much higher stamina drain
and this why you advocate for 3 sprint eff perks
the first time I had timed it was identical though
Add it to every weapon
are you sure that first fucked up follow up slide is actually faster?
The speed at which u went from table to pillar is not much different between sprint and sprint slide
Whereas the overall speed for sprint/slide was slower
I take it just so I always have stamina
Random hound/burster jumpscare
i've had unpushable burster with full stam bar
we love that
Also went 500k dmg and top scored with taxe
its mid but its my kind of mid

Watch The Bulwark Smack of God and millions of other Warhammer 40,000: Darktide videos on Medal, the largest Game Clip Platform.
Also that same match lmao
i doubled my melee dmg overnight using a taxe
also, i probably have grown a few inches
3.3s for sprint, 3.333s for sprint/slide @pastel yew
Also that recording was 27fps for some reason, I checked multiple times
recorded again, pulled it into clip editor
This is a 1% difference which is basically negligible
sprint was 7.35 seconds, slide was 7.87 so yeah
slower
but not 9%
93.34% of sprint speed
I don't think I fucked up the slide this time either
there is gonna be some innacuracy either way though given our results
it'd have to be done by a machine to see the true dif but yeah
its slower
just barely
so 7~9% slower depending on input consistency
not really enough info to say that
it could be way slower
depending on input
or slightly faster
like i said, would need a machine to do it
either way, sliding still better
better for conserving stamina over a longer distance yea
well
and that you're dodging attacks
and that you can attack
for a 6.66% speed loss that's not a bad trade
or more
depending on your timing
if we assume I did it absolutely perfectly
I was just saying that pure sprint is faster which it is
mhm yeah
slide mix is obv better in practical situations
I honestly cannot feel the difference though I'll be honest
maybe its the bobbing camera
but the thing that gets me
if you're measuring 9% loss and I'm getting less than that while sliding more often
I guess the initial part of the slide
gets a boost
and the latter part is slower than sprint over all
I wonder if theres some way to slide cancel
or no its the initial part of your sprint which is boosted? slide is dependent on move speed
wtf
Use the movement analyser to test
the whar?
Mod
Tells you your real move speed
Also can calculate average speed
Needs a bit of tinkering though
that one is a bit bugged
ah sadge
I asked kuli abt it, the move speed curve is not accurate
Curve?
it's how the myth of CB3 being faster movement than CB6 spread
move speed is calculated with move speed curve which that mod doesn't represent very well
How so?
also @faint beacon @thorn lark I have a very brave idea
basically the representation is off
I have no idea what that means
the mod showed CB6 H1 move speed being slower than CB3 H1 move speed
yes
when that's not really the case
And that's not accurate?
tac axe 4 headtaker + AoN
we should do a mael trio taxe only?
yea
why the 4?
cuz it doesn't work that well with BM so the normal build is HT + shred right
but
shred drops stacks on miss which is cringe
however
tac axes use PA a lot
u also sprint into fights most of the time in this game
i probably have a mk4 around that i can use
this means u pretty much start every fight with ~3 stacks of AoN (+24% power)
ohhh
and can relatively easily maintain 3~4 stacks
then you keep the momentum going
it's also better than decimator because u just need to PA to keep AoN up which ur gonna do on tac axes anyway
i should probably not take the stam delay node
whereas decimator is, miss 1 hit and drop all stacks, very cringe
i don't mind that part, i am used to shred
to have 3 stacks of AoN u need to be missing 60% stamina
that's the other condition of deci that pains me a bit
not hard to sprint into a fight at 40% stamina
or to PA to gate urself at low stam
shreds fine, its also sorta hard to miss a melee swing
not like they're ducking and weaving
I was thinking abt AoN over HT on combat axes
with my zealot and my vet i am around 1 or 2 bar max of stam (and i use a +3 stam curios in both cases)
cuz combat axes also use PA a lot just for horde control
and AoN's main benefit is that u basically start every fight with +power ready
it's just that combat axes don't use PA on everything
ogryns, maulers & bosses (ogryns & maulers' breakpoints benefit from HT's consistency)
whereas tac axes do cuz u basically just throw any attack u have
it's prob too much hassle for combat axes but it might not be bad for tac axes
it's also +power (total), not +melee power like headtaker
that could work well with a throwing knife then
that's the part of dt that i like
it's not take a knife/ds and put uncanny on it and call it a day
also HT + AoN might work well for tac axe 2 & 7
I re-evaluated it
(and you don't really need uncanny on a knife)
the diagonal angle is too steep
BM usually doesn't hit 4 weakspots on tac axes
u don't miss out on that much by not taking BM tbh
what am I cooking
if i take headtaker, i want unarmored
if i take shred, unarmored has no value
ok, so using bm+shred, you want to invest in flak to get the dreg bruiser bp... and i like unyielding for the second tbh
I just personally don't enjoy the "drop all stacks on miss" blessings
but AoN + HT is very tempting ngl
i forgot that i could add +15% melee dmg
my other hot take is that
I thought further
maybe AoN is not a bad idea for ogryn's branx pickaxe?
with that i reach the os bp unarmored bruisers with not ht stacks, on a crit
cuz
u also sprint a lot (which uses a lot of stamina)
and branx will also PA a lot because the H2 > L0 loop is way too slow for horde most of the time
god you really need crits to make the taxes shine
yea they're finesse weapons
yeah i know i know
you have a lot of stam as an ogryn tho
Yea but at the same time u drain stamina super fast in sprint
Just some thoughts
I think it’s prob
Worth considering on tac axes
Maybe worth considering on combat axes
so hmm, yeah all or nothing + ht looks like it's not worse than other options
And maybe (smaller maybe) for branx Pickaxe
Also
On veteran
With 10% atk speed node
Tac axe’s PA > H2 combo
Is just fast enough to be finished
Before stamina starts regenerating (no stam regen delay boost nodes)
This is more relevant on mk2 tho
i think aon + ht + despe + momentun keystone or martyrdom could reaaaally a lot of dmg
Mk7 PA chains into H2 which nobody wants
If only tac axes’ heavy overhead had actually good dmg
it's h1 not h2 iirc
On mk2 it chains into H2, maybe it’s different for mk7
I forgot, I checked these weapons’ movesets too long ago
Exploit weakness is also just sad
It should work well with high Crit chance melee weapons but it just doesn’t
i take back what i said
"Chop chop"
Perks: +25% flak armor/+5% crit chance
Blessings: Brutal Momentum IV/Headtaker IV
Feats shown at the end
it's not h2
why does it not work?
Oh mk7 PA into H1, nice
Because u kinda don’t Crit enough to stack it up on a big target to make a difference
Most weapons kill the enemy by the time they Crit twice
Or they just suck vs that armor type so much that the 20% brittleness doesn’t help it much
U need reciprocity & desperado to both be up to really feed into exploit weakness
But even then at full 20% brittleness it’s only like 200? More dmg on Crit weakspot
On crushers
It’s rly just not worth it
i don't have enough point to take it
Goes from 700 smth to around 900
On a tac axe 4 with +10% elite and +25% carapace
also, run and gun + agile engagement + aon
So yea it’s bad
The only gun that’s like, ok with run&gun is boltpistol
And Agripinaa revolver ig
i was thinkg of the bolt yeah
Your safest perk combo with taxes I could assume if you're focusing more horde clear would probably be UnFlak
Also got this Taxe 4
Its mightve just been me losing my mind but the brittleness node did feel like it helped p well w the shock maul against crushers
yeah its BM but I think it can be worked with
Yesnt
I'd bank on the second blessing being good for the power sword
The lasgun is very nice and it'll be a solid stepping stone for one with more stopping power, though it might not even be entirely necessary and the mobility+stability might even bet more beneficial than a bit more damage
the 2 perks for the ps are basically groll no?
I believe I only use carapace on mine
Might be thanks to those +melee nodes tho, idk the mafs
But they're both involved in the crusher double-tap in their own ways
I think you could enable the talents slowly to see when it reaches the breakpoint with those 2 perks
Braced autos still nice? Is it still the agripina on top?
i tested it on a mk4 (not my usual taxe) and it works
so i bought a bunch of mk7 that i upgraded and somehow rng was on my side
i will do further testing tonight
holy shit this video is old
Yeah lol but the moveset is still the same!
Yeah, you can. Weakspot dmg will have to go tho.
ah ok
superiority complex or rending strikes
Hmmm. I would say superiority complex but actually I never bothered to check if rending strikes gave me more... Probably not but you should try it the psykhanium
take me back... veteran free reload... 30 bolt shell bagdumps...
What are the best weapons to deal with rager hordes?
Like, ranged
Not melee
If it helps, I’m using weapon specialist and agile engagement, so preferably something I can switch to on the fly
Oh okay bet
Plasma/zarona
I can work with that
Or Devils claw swords
Also, am I kinda fucking myself if I stop taking serrated and mercy killer on my knife? I was thinking about taking precog instead
Gives me an extra point too
Can you send your knife?
It’s be fine probably, they have the same straight bonus if you really need that 1 point
Also
Random recommendation
Like I’m dodging all the time, and I’m running repricosity(?)
Unyielding to Flak
Unyielding is fine but Flak is probably better for mk6
You stab a lot more bruisers and flak elites than Reapers and Bulwarks + bosses
That is a really nice knife though
columnus hasn't failed me yet
braced autoguns counter rager pretty hard
Honestly I’m kind of surprised that the slug shotty can open up a bulwark but can’t stop a mutant
Would seem like something, you know, slightly less formidable
Any specific reason why?
Yeah it’s a great all rounder
it kills them good with high enough magsize to chew through a lot of them
Which one would be more efficient?
also they run into your effective range so no worries about accuracy
Apples and oranges
Ahhh okay
Both play different
I tend to prefer agrip shotty on FT builds
Let's you oneshot gunners from decently far away
Just play both and figure out which one you like more
Good point
Does anyone happen to know what happened to Yuriminalsky?
kia in the siege of miracil by a crisis battlesuit
probably a tired question but any estimate on the crafting overhaul?
End of summer
The blog was very clear on the date
Ish
as long as it takes Hadron to complete the appropriate rituals of activation and deployment essentially
tried to make bolt pistol work. the moment when i cant snap shot penetrate past trash mob to hit the sniper/ flamer blocked by the mobs i drop it
You can make it tap crushers pretty easily
I like it more than revolver though
Feels deserving of its massive damage
short vet problems, just be tall
all the important stuff are above the pleb head height
its crusher kills feel p rough though
need some way of getting guaranteed crits and even then its not super clean
like 3 to the head I think
1 shot
I think you can get it down to 2
Point blank
1 shot how?
by spending every point on ranged damage and getting a deadly accurate crit
ah
taking cara damage for all that sounds a bit
much
means no maniac
but I guess you dont need maniac as much with mf
1 crit and 1 normal with no buffs
bolt pistol is super fun though, honestly my second favourite weapon in the game currently
I can kill everything important except for flamers in 1hs
And dogs
even with exec stance no flamer one tap??
But like
Oh with exe stance it’s easy
But without a crit mine needs 2 to kill a flamer
you're not running deadshot?
Nope
I guess its not as important if you have exec stance but
Surgical
Deadshot surgical still synergize
You can get the muscle memory crit
Supression immunity and skill
Fair enough
I need the points to make the crusher bp work
you not noticed it snapping?
its not skill its rng like
its literally bugged
same as the boltgun, bugged forever
thats why exec stance and or deadshot are basically mandatory
because they reduce the sway and recoil enough that it doesnt snap and bug out
bug was reported and acknowledged like over a year ago btw, no fix
even though the fix is clearly to reduce the sway
Well I haven’t noticed or have forgotten about whatever fuckery this is
I dont know how you cant have like... maybe its not as bad with ironsights
but put an optic on using weapon customization
you can see the snap clearly
What do you mean by snap
theres a reddit post somewhere of someone in the psykanium literally showing it teleport
zoomed in and slowed
That’s the thing confusing me
after your first shot
you have mad recoil
the aim doesnt always reset properly
and when that happens
it teleports
I'll see if I can get you a clip
I have once again forgotten to mute the mic input
I'm not sure what its using as a mic input but its awful so mute the clip
not present on every shot but look closely
It’s just snaping back to accurate aim right
it teleports and you miss
its also not consistent like
it only happens sometimes
sometimes it wont happen for a stretch, and then other times it happens a lot
in the first mag I fired there
it happened once
I think it was three times on the second?
I guess I just ignored it as part of the recoil anim
I’m also using surgical so this won’t be the hugest issue
yeah if you just wait its fine but
if you want to kill things at a reasonable pace it fucks you up
doesnt happen ever with exec stance or deadshot
I think like literally the sway is so high that the game can't account for it properly
I’ve used both bolter and bistol and this hasn’t been a problem I can remember having
The it fucking with me part at least
I have no idea how you've not noticed it, to me its crippling
but normally I play very quickly
you can get around it without either of those skills though by unaiming
and aiming again
but it looks buggy as fuck
I’m a very conservative shooter so that also might be a factor
this is what happens when you ads cancel
the shots are accurate ish but you cant see shit
lmfao
but yeah bug acknowledged since 2022
The recoil has two stages
it feels punchy when you use exec stance or deadshot though
its the visuals and sound design that sell the illusion
Yes.
Yeah if you fire a shot there's the recoil actual. And then the recoil visual.
they're different?
First one ends when it means to. Your shot will be accurate.
The second one ends 250ish millisecnds after
And is your camera dropping back down to center
That second one is why it feels twitchy and annoying
You try to fire just as your camera resets and you 'suddenly miss'
If you keep firing repeatedly before that camera reset occurs
It just keeps going higher
Once you see it you can't unsee it lol
it works, i am almost constantly at full stacks and it also works really well on zealot (with desperation and momentum on top)
