In theory its strong, but it takes wayyyy too much effort to set up and keep going when the game is like 80% punching poxwalkers/dregs with your melee
considering 95% of vets are already going to rock shout for you, and vets are like, almost 50% of the player base, you dont need to bring your own shout, and can instead reap the benefits of xstance demolishing anything vaguely dangerous

If I hit volley fire I get at most 5 seconds to kill the next yellow target, and if I have to stop to deal with the steady piss-stream of poxxers coming from behind us I end up with even less time to keep the chain going; if I get to switch back to gun at all.

When redirect fire is activated and is at max - say, at 8 stacks - , if you were to kill a special enemy that is marked while your stack is at 8, it'll remain it's stack amount and the 8 stacks will just refresh. And that is 12% Damage for you and the mates in coherency. And since I tag very often, my stacks remain at 8 throughout the level. Having permanent 12% damage is simply cannot be bad.

I'm never gonna use that keystone for as long as it remains optimal to create an auto-macro that spams the spot button
Not taking that 8 stack modifier still has redirect fire give you +7.5% dmg for whole team, so the 8 stack modifier realistically only makes redirect fire go from +7.5% to +12%, a 4.5% increase
You decide if a conditional 4.5% dmg increase (lower than fire team aura btw) is worth spending 1 point on

three of the fingers on my left hand are dedicated to WASD- which is critically important in this game specially because of directional dodges. I suppose I could bind it to the space bar since that's the only button my thumb can actually reach without impeding my mainhand's movements. Shift and Ctrl are both taken doing other things and capslock is out of the question

infiltrate has done a weird effect for a while where lights out/vent purge becomes very visible during infiltrate but I don't like to talk about it because it feels like cheating and could get patched out

fog from vent purge is just not visible at all with infiltrate stealth active in my experience

well the traitor captain's are terrifying when they actually decide to use their damn gun, instead of spending 80% of their time using their bad melee or getting stunned by a broken shield
a genuine ranged boss like the bigger beasts just doesn't get stunned except by the special abilities and kraks
idk they seem pretty easy to dodge for both ranged attacks and melee attacks in general
Traitor captain’s problem is that he’s the least threatening boss by far
their final fight usually ends up being 4 rejects beating them to death in melee before anything but poxwalkers spawn in
maybe sometimes you get a squad of ragers before the captain is beat to death
He has like, 1 dangerous attack
give captains mauler/crusher overhead so you actually have to give a shit about them hitting you
Yeah, we have so much dps we can pop shield and nearly instakill him before much of anything spawns in. The real threat of the traitor captain fight is that you have to deal with it in the middle of a giant horde

Killing Floor 2's gunslinger has a perk that increases limb damage
Unfortunately, both games also trivialized that choice by having AP ammo in Insurgency and headshots being still better in KF2
KF2, however, did have the rioter, which was universally hated
It was a heavy armor enemy with exposed legs that had the armor be so annoying, people just shot the legs instead
More enemies blocking would be a fun mechanic if we could more easily stagger break enemies out of block with high stagger weapons

The real problem with that perk was that it competes against Rack'em Up, which gives you +10% damage for every consecutive headshot, up to 50%. Said bonus is on a 2 second timer, then stacks fall off one by one unless you keep headshotting. Higher skillcap damage bonus on a timer vs flat increase would be a fine tradeoff if KF didn't have Head HP separate and lower than body/limb HP meaning you always kill faster by headshotting Zeds.

nah, I like it as it is, keeps the game clean and concise, I hated b4b for putting weakspots wherever
you have exceptions based on head being a different armor than the chest, and the BoN, which imo is plenty enough to keep it fresh

pretty sure at max expertise u have enough modification capacity to change whatever u want
because the weapon cards they showed are like
30~40 for blessings
and <10 for perks
so at 500 expertise u'd be able to do full tier 4s
(I'm gonna call them points because I don't know what else to call them)
From the image we know a tier 2 perk is 3 points a tier 3 is 6 points so logically a tier 1 perk might be 1... or 0. And tier 4 either 9 or 10 points.
And we have a tier 1 blessing which is 15 and a tier 3 which is 38 points. So logically a tier 4 could be 50 points? Which doesn't add up. So two tier 4 blessings would be 100 points. Or lets say 90 minimum. Then we can't have 2 tier 4 perks too. This is legit teh only part of the crafting update I do not understand at all.

You need very specific high stats (dmg & stopping power)
Then you need quite a few +dmg talents to make it hit breakpoints
What perks do you want on it for what breakpoints
Uncharged shot on gunner for example?

78%+ in damage & 77%+ in stopping power
60%+ in ammo
69%+ in thermal resist
+elite dmg perk
+flak dmg perk (maniac works but isn’t as good as flak overall)

Gloryhunter/Blaze away (gloryhunter is better imo)
Uncharged, 1 headshot both gunners & both flamers
That’s the main one
Without, it’s way worse than it should be
How high does the crit go with gets hot
Crit chance goes very high but crits are mainly a consistently buff
U get Crit 1 bodyshot kills vs gunners & flamers
And u can Crit 1HS both ragers

Crit also gives u 2 tap mauler bodyshot if u have +flak on top of +elite
But I can do that with my dmr bolter build too

As good as plasma is I rly don’t think it’s as broken as most people say it is just because it’s the actual worst “top performer” when it comes to build optimization
Zarona and Columnus can perform really well with suboptimal rolls
Plasma without 1 tap breakpoints which take a ton of investment to get is pretty much just a glorified shotgun
Also plasma has very specific +dmg talent requirements even on top of the roll related stuff
Tbf, the wallhacks is a pretty big value even if not optimised
But that's outside of auric
U have to build ur talent tree a certain way to get 1 taps
If u don’t take focus target + redirect fire, you basically need to go fireteam + both 5% ranged dmg nodes to get 1 taps
god dare vets have any semblance of a working build

No it’s just Columnus in particular scales super high with crits
Agripinaa mk1 doesn’t scale that well with crits
Graia is ok but lower dps overall
Agripina's just too fast at killing with headshotd to care about scaling crits
As a Graia main the Columnus just makes me upset with its sheer existence

I personally don't have any issues with it like that. Mostly just the low bullet count compared to Columnus

There’s a difference between putting a small amount of talents for ranged weapon breakpoints, and dedicating just about your whole tree to middle & left side

whenever someone accidentally aggros it I'm always quick to help fight it because it's such a fun fight (but not tunnel visioning into it 100% and ignoring specials/elites)
really the only time I've ever seen someone kill Daemonhosts with any regularity in quickplay are Thammer Zealots
they love running in and bonking
outside of that I never really see pugs in quickplay aurics or maelstroms fighting DHs
they always just avoid
