No. Weakspot hits and crits are separate mechanics.
Though finesse boosts (like the mf keystone) affect both
The simple explanation is that shooting heads with HH is a massive boost to effective crit rate, which is a boost to ammo efficiency.

Dumdum is much, much better than deathspitter
It's essentially an omnipresent damage boost up to something like 46~ range
99% of vets quit before they make a perfect rashad (including me)
It's been an hour I know but I have been giving this some thought
Dumdum is deffo still the better of the two, but now that 'close range' is defined as 12.5m ... Deathspitter should trigger pretty often, and its damage bonus is global.
So Dumdum stacks much, much easier, but the bonus falls off beyond 12.5m. Deathspitter only stacks within 12.5m, but the bonus is always 30%
And 12.5m is ... like a lot of your engagements if you're an aggressive player

Iirc closer to 0 helps with those small movements
The only problem is you need to keep killing, so harder to build up/maintain but if you go deathspitter/dumdum it could be worthwile tbf

it only seems to work on "live" rescues. if you're trying to pick people up after being captured it seems to be about the same duration?

- tossing enemies aside with right click > facing direction
things i do not like: - holding down right click indefinitely
if they just forced smite right click to automatically end after like, 40% perils gain

You gotta get real close at times. It can be a frustrating thing to hit sometimes. Run n Gun's tiny bit of extra damage helps me hit it sometimes

I'd go into the psykanium and test your break points with that build and those weapons
and see the hit to kill difference
because a lot of weapons gain a lot from those talents
you'd probably need more grenade generation than just the 1 a minute to make that worth it
and there are likely less important things to cut elsewhere in your tree depending on what you are using
why can't u do that with melee instead

knife is one of the few weapons that don't benefit a lot from +atk speed
Because it makes my knifing even faster, improves my dodges during, and I can switch off of it to something longer range to deal with something further out

Hey amigos, I'm jumping back into Darktide and I noticed a recent patch changed the recon lasguns up, right? I had a build that used to be meta but got nuked when the recon lasguns got nerfed, you think maybe now I can use it again?

I started to notice something. Krak grenades made a lot of veterans not able to deal with armored enemies without using the grenades
They don't know how to deal with bulkwards or crushers without using the krak

U should do Infernus + dum dum, get true aim & scrier’s gaze and just live in perma 25%+ crit chance

Scriers Gaze and True Aim make Headhunter unnecessary for any Recons on Psyker imo. You can get reliable and consistent crits without needing Headhunter to still get good value out of Infernus. No Shock Trooper either so the crits are there to feed Infernus. Dum Dum boosts Infernus dot damage too. Dum Dum + Infernus works on Psyker. You NEED Headhunter for Vet though because no Scriers or True Aim. Most people don't go Deadshot for Recons. Without Deadshot or Headhunter a Veteran using a Recon has too low crit chance to get value out of Dum Dum + Infernus. Vet base crit chance 5% + 5% crit chance talent node + 5% crit weapon perk means at best you have 15% crit chance without Deadshot or Headhunter. The RNG will leave you high and dry most fights. And you definitely don't want Deadshot on a Recon Mk VId unless you are as silly as me running triple stam curios because the fast firerate will evaporate your stamina too fast and the reduced accuracy when hip firing is too wild to maintain consistent head tracking for Headhunter crits otherwise
Also! Psyker True Aim is just incredibly strong for Recon Mk VId Infernus Dum Dum shenanigans

Youtubers chase views and popularity. Darktide is tiny compared to the Helldivers 2 community. Larger possible audience creating content for a game with hundreds of thousands of players vs Darktide edging but not quite meeting 10k during content release patches

It was very special imo. A very fun game. Friends and I played it a BUNCH and the gameplay loop was very fun. The memes were top tier. Malevelon Creek memes will always hold a special place in my heart. But ultimately the gameplay loop just stopped being fun for me and most of my friends, and the Sony controversy turned me off entirely from touching it ever again. Using an Anti-Material Rifle to snipe Hulk heads is still a special feeling. Doing it pre-buff was harder to pull off and still so satisfying. But I will always say that Railgun users are babies and their whining was the most insufferable thing I've seen from a community since WoW PvP forums LMFAO

you don't really have a reason to go middle or left up top

Exhilarating Takedown for shooty-leaning builds is very, very nice

no Iron Will in an Auric Damnation High Intensity Shock Trooper Gauntlet sounds like insanity because there's no possible way to avoid ALL damage, there's no way to dodge everything, and when you do inevitably take a hit your entire toughness pool vanishes and even Out for Blood isn't going to restore it back to full slamming a Rashad into crowds in time to stop the big chunk of HP damage coming from the follow up hit
though I do play mostly for variety than outright 100% efficiency
you don't have to dodge everything
like I said, the only health point that matters is the last one
because if you lose that you die
the rest is all cushion
I mean unless you're like Azrael tier that's kinda asking a lot
most of what I run iron will for is to int anyway, purposefully taking damage to position and kill faster

there's a reason people usually take Iron Will and because it's just so powerful and low investment to get a strong survivability boost
and I think even Azrael consistently takes Iron Will
not to be too ego but I think I'm minimum top 5% of auric players
it's not very often that anyone comes close to me on the scoreboard unless I'm running some weird int shit
weird comparison but the game is a lot like rainbow six siege in terms of skill set I guess

I squint at the claim but I also don't really care to verify so like if you're good enough that it works for you, all that matters is that it works for you

I guess it depends on build because the 20% can be a major talent point for helping hit breakpoints on some builds

yeah though with kraks it's really only gonna help against bosses since the reapers are squishy as hell without it
