mk vii shovel manages hordes well and the fold attack can deal with elites even up to crushers
chainswords don’t need much investment and work all round, though with some issue against carapace (less important if you’re going mk iii helbore)
power sword always works but i personally dislike the lower mobility paired with helbores and the powering up loop

I will agree the mk7 sapper shovel is great but you should practice on using your bayonet in cqc.
If you can do that and mix in hipfire shots you can deal with gangs of ragers without having to swap weapons.

They're pretty good weapons imo. Agripina Shotgun is very fun for bolt action rifle gameplay through its special shot. Lawbringer gets the very wide horizontal shot on special shots that goes very well with Manstopper/Scattershot to turn hordes into dust
