#veteran-class
1 messages · Page 726 of 1
I am doubtful any other class has rending per shot as a free ability
I always feel like I'm doing Ogryn ranged wrong because every time I play it I am eternally annoyed at non-elite ranged trash enemies unless I'm Gunlugger + Twinstubber
I use gunlugger and kickback still
it's not per shot
actualy vet is the one that has rending per shot lul
onslaught
and vet still does it better on the whole
Oh yeah Veteran gets Onslaught/Rending Strikes so they're passively always rending targets on all hits without their ability
WATCH THIS
for some reason
cause pretty sure ogryn peaks at 40% with rending on elite and the gungryn node
and thats a 10/30 split with the 30 being exclusively ranged
vet can do 50, arguably 70 with exploit weakness but odds are onslaught isnt happening in melee
longer cooldown, not as much defense (TDR not as good as overtoughness)
it's an opportunity maker, less of a defensive option
@tall torrent I finally did it

Took me forever
it's a strong defensive option for both threat reset due to stealth and 10 sec threat reduction on low profile but that's a personal defensive tool and not one that benefits your team vs a Voice of Command Vet supporting their team even if they're doing so unknowingly and unintentionally
the TDR node on Infiltrate is one of the weakest nodes imo
Vet already has very strong TDR from other options in the tree
it's not as much defense as VoC because it doesn't have gold toughness or ranged heavy stagger
false
with Overwatch giving an extra charge the uptime can be neat for short bursts but at the same time it's less overall effective compared to a VoC Vet shouting frequently and having almost permanent uptime of gold toughness for like no trouble at all
the TDR node is probably the 2nd best thing u can get
I always recommend Infiltrate, Low Profile and Overwatch for any Vet trying to do the On Overwatch penance because it makes that penance much easier
Voice of Command is harder to do that penance with
not impossible
it's just much easier playing around stealth and threat reduction
overwatch's extra charge is very good for On Overwatch don't get hit penance
if stealth is on CD and you're still in danger no it isn't
it just becomes a game of managing stealth and low profile buff uptime to keep danger away
yeah but even without the penance the same rule applies
50% TDR hits several big defense breakpoints that u normally cannot get
uptime on low profile and stealth means less heat for the Vet for longer
Voice of Command isn't getting the heat off for more than the 1-2 seconds of AoE stagger
it's just making sure you can take any hits that follow
VoC staggers them long enough that you can kill multiple enemies before they get back up
better to take 0 hits than to take hits but with toughness damage reduction imo
only place Low Profile is having no value vs the TDR Infiltrate node is if your whole squad wiped and now you're solo
infiltrate is not as high defense as VoC, especially when u don't take TDR
sure but it's not a room clearing tool, just a brief CC that gives much better defense and support through gold toughness
take away the gold toughness and no one ever uses Voice of Command ever again
god i cant wait til they kneecap VoC
still false
the defensive value in Infiltrate is the stealth + threat reset imo
I can't wait till they buff VoC
you can safely nade a room, revive a squadmate and still have stealth up
Well done gamer
cant believe they ever buffed it
with the team mate at your side you now have 10 seconds of enemies just blatantly forgetting you exist
even if u kneecap VoC it's still gonna be the default ability for veteran
freeing you to fight with your ranged weapon in melee if you wanted to
nah remove gold toughness and no one picks it legitimately
Thanks I love you BJH2001 - 4139146270
ur just very wrong on that
base Voice of Command is just an AoE stagger
because VoC is the logical pathing option through nade regen
what the hell would anyone be using it for lol
without the toughness restore and gold toughness it's literally trash
no one picks it for the revive
and it still costs less points to play than exe or infil
it's just strong because of the low CD in tandem with gold toughness
unless u change these conditions, VoC is going to stay as the default ability
it could keep low CD, lose gold toughness and overnight you'd have Vets raging about the nerf unending and Vets probably quitting the game over it too
it would just be a repeat of pre-surv nerf with shit like agile engagement
the AoE stagger is a bonus but not why anyone picks it up
"Oh the node is strong but it's not worth pathing through"
the other 2 abilities have even worse pathing
tbh even with those conditions I don't think the talent tree is that tight for getting the talents you want for a lot of builds
they could put it back to 45 seconds or... 60 or whatever it was at launch maybe that'd tune it down just a touch
so two extra points to side over to get the 60s regen is not a deal breaker for most
shit loads of people already do that
a lot of builds I've seen others post have a bit of leeway of a few points 3-4 left over
to let someone spend them as they choose
you could easily grab the nodes you value with that
yea do they take nade regen and VoC
if u play entirely right side aura > infil
then u can afford to not go that way
gold toughness + gold toughness uptime is what is carrying Voice of Command and if Fatshark decided to remove the gold toughness entirely no one would talk up Voice of Command as meta anymore
u still need to dip all 3 branches in bottom half
people would probably hard swap into Infiltrate for defense/team support
and you'd see more people running Exe Stance
not gonna happen unless exe stance gets reworked
exe stance has worse pathing than infil unironically
AoE stagger on a 30 or 35 CD reduced by elite/special kills by 6 sec is kinda worthless on its own tbh
if you want AoE stagger you've already got shredders to buy space AND clear rooms
the AoE stagger is just an extra stagger on top of those
full refill self toughness with large AoE forces stagger on every enemy in the game
is still very strong
yeah and would be immediately dwarfed by Infiltrate without gold toughness carrying it
it wouldn't
there's a reason everyone picks gold toughness with it
you can't use Voice of Command without it to any serious effect
infil pays more talent tax and has worse travel nodes
people would think you're trolling legitimately
I mean it's the difference that
people that play infil are gonna stick to infil
voc is just 50 toughness
people that play VoC won't necessarily change to infil
Even if there wasn't gold toughness or it got reduced
for others i mean
You would still spam it out
yeah and that's what I mean as far as current Voice of Command being a strong support tool
its, again. The gold toughness that makes it
and how easy it is to destroy it
remove the gold
suddenly it's no longer the king
smash the crown
give it to the clown
lmao
Ya think folks would give it up
and it's still the default ability
Considering without gold toughness
u can't change that status without major changes to vet tree
Genuinely yes I think people would give up Voice of Command overnight if gold toughness was outright removed from Voice of Command
nah
really though most players arent even 100% sure what gold toughness is doing for them entirely
so they'd keep using VoC but make posts about FatShark secretly nerfing vet
It's ok for us to agree to disagree on a silly hypothetical like this because Fatshark would never outright remove gold toughness entirely from Voice of Command

I genuinely and wholeheartedly believe Vets would move on
you think it's still got value without gold toughness to keep Vets on it
I don't think we'll convince each other on this hypothetical
move on from the skill in the tree, emotionally not so much
your hypothetical is super biased against VoC's innate functions without gold toughness
at best Fatshark will nerf gold toughness uptime
reduce duration of VoC gold toughness and/or increase CD
but it'll be kid gloves so the uptime will still be strong enough that most Vets use it anyway
like, u rly are exaggerating how bad it would be without gold toughness when that's not the case whatsoever
yeah because literally no one ever runs it without gold toughness
like you'd have an argument if anyone used it without gold toughness but that node literally makes that ability immensely strong
otherwise it's just ok
nobody ever runs exe stance without relentless should we remove the refresh function then
and no one cares about just ok
make it make sense
look at Exe Stance
lol
it's just ok and most people ignore it
exe stands on my nuts lmao
unironically yes make that baseline for any highlighted target refreshing duration to 5 sec
because gold toughness is fucking ridiculous
yea, they should
that's a buff I would wholeheartedly approve of for Exe Stance
I wish I was exe
but voc without gold toughness is still a very strong ability and ur straight up denying that
I will continue to deny that because it's not that strong without gold toughness
30s CD instant toughness refill with forced heavy stagger on every enemy within 9m, and gives 50 toughness to all teammates
go into a match and remove your gold toughness node
feel the difference like night and day
your team support goes out the window
I can't remove it without removing the 50 teammate toughness gain
and your personal survivability is much worse too
lol
ur drunk buddy
the node mandatory to make it so strong
no I'm a clown numbers cat
giving teammates 50 toughness and giving everybody overtoughness are 2 different things
I wasn't born with the clown shoes but I fell into them after dropping myself on my head
yeah so remove the node, use Voice of Command and tell me how it feels in a match
removing that node makes the function not align with what I'm describing?
read?
yeah but it's the only way to play the way you're implying
the only way to play VoC without gold
what a visual
and it's literally trolling to take VoC without it
it's not? it's straight up not what I'm saying?
?
thank you I did a backflip into a square glass table and hit the side of my head against the sharp edge
I still have the scar on the side of my head as an adult too!
very visible
did they ever remove the glass
sure and in that scenario where you remove only gold toughness and not the entire node that gives team toughness restore then it is still fine, not strong but passable tbh
gold toughness makes it strong
otherwise it's kinda basic
can we petition them to do that
i mean if we're talking rework, at that point i'd make the node a team-wide toughness restore
that's been what I was saying this entire time and u never read it carefully
just remove gold toughness from Voice of Command entirely
because 50 toughness is nothing
just delete it
"kinda basic" my brother in the emperor we are a army man
Vet doesn't need it
we are the basic
we all have to go through basic but I'm drinking pumpkin spice so I never stopped
you know thats not what i meant
imagine if we were acidic
we are its called stomach acid
the only reason why the acid aint eating u from the inside out is a layer of mucus in ur stomach
mmm i
we are perpetually shitting out ourselves
fucking finally
chaos gives me a darkness
like 15 runs just to get the one ive been missing
Zzz... trying to make 3 different infiltrate builds
The one running survivalist, I hate
When they adding long las and hellgun
When 12th edition comes out
I can't believe I just saw a Bollywood gif in Darktide chat
Real answer? never
ur wrong
o damn they cookin
Hotshot volley gun is literally wielded by in game enemies already
I'd like to see some kind of dual pistols
So is the long Las lol
If they were gonna add it, they would've
I imagine it was conceived to be added, but they could've drip fed weapons pretty easily to make people happier though they didn't, I wouldn't expect it
Oh yeah, I guess the sniper is the long las
Brain never made the connection
It would feel incredibly good to use too of it had the same sound
monkeys paw curls
It's added to the game, but inferior in every way to the helbores
Also the recoil is even worse than the ilas for "immersion" purposes
Just give me a damn melta gun and don't make it zealot exclusive cause they got all the fire stuff. The poster boy for the melta is Jurgan...a Veteran's Veteran!
If veteran gets melta zealot gets power fist
by the god emperor
Swap one of the blessings for dumdum and you're good to go
Keep fire frenzy imo
Ik
And power gives you impact and cleave
Also power isn't subjective to "close damage" efficacy falloff over range
Saying it for ruben just in case
cheers for tips
okay
I'm so happy I got the penance thing done tbh
feel like I can relax and do what I want now
I want to add that infiltrate tax nodes are so bad compared to how good voc pathing is that you actually save points by switching lanes to voc even if you went full right side in the beginning
Which is absolutely stupid
Full Bore or Deathspitter?
For what
Kantrael shotty
Prob full bore after i found out deathspitter doesn't proc on fire
Shoot fire round and then run up to something and shoot it for full bore to buff the dot
Full bore no question
I'm more of a 3/4 bore guy myself
power sword and revolver on a specialist and weakened monster maelstrom, build worked pretty good
Might be worth doing demo team over stockpile to save a point
Could let you go frags
Or switch to smokes and save another point to grab elite damage
P close to what I do for laspistol infil though
I do like the other grenades
but kraks with bring it down let me take out bulwarks with ease
unless they have nurgle buffs
in a mixed horde, they're honestly one of the biggest dangers
Well
Demo team to stockpile would let you take always prepared at least
Even if you stay with krak
true
Only suggested nade switch since you're running 2 armor piercing weapons alr
I think
You can drop rending strikes too
Test it but i really doubt it's doing much
Unless you're not running handcannon on your revolver
Cause 60 percent rending from handcannon likely puts you over 100 adm already
my handcannon is only 50
So it's like a 2.5% dmg boost
man i wish helbore had cooler blessings
plus, occasionally I weave in unpowered sword swings
deadly accurate would be so dope
I just doubt that is as significant as getting elite dmg
For both weapons
Regardless of the target
Except maybe unpowered swing vs carapace or something insane
That you prolly don't do
and and my previous build, the rending hit some kinda ridiculous extra bit of damage I needed to one shot headshot scab shotgunners which was very wierd
I can easily swap it out for always prepared with my new power sword
since it does hit that breakpoint without needing the rending'
anyway, I don't need the elite damage
this build and sword and revolver hits all the breakpoints I want
two tap crushers and maulers
single tap any shotgunner
heavy tap any gunner
That's fine, was just suggesting it bc you were already taking rending strikes
crit heavy tap any rager
I know, ty though!
I can make a similar build with elite superiority and fully loaded, hit all the same breakpoints
I'd sacrifice agile engagement in the process
I don't need it, to be honest, but it makes my neurons fire
I forgot but are you the infil player I talked to that doesnt like on overwatch
Cause if you already hit all the bps you want I'd probably move rending strikes to always prepared and demo team to save a pt to go into on overwatch
Not because I don't like it, I just... never bothered to use it
I think it's a really strong node for stealth so I'd suggest giving it a try at least
Makes running 3x combat ability regen on curios worthwhile
And tac awareness becomes more efficient
true
Since you'll probably never overcap with 2 charges
Also I just think it fits the gameplay of stealth well, since you always have a 2nd charge to fall back into your team if your dive went wrong
I got two other different infil vet loadouts to play with, I'll see
this one is power sword and revolver
next is chainsword and plasma gun
last one is knife and vraks 3
different auras on all of them
all of them use kraks, because, I guess I just like kraks
never used the plasma gun before, whats its dump stat
My last 2 Brian cells game ended doing penances, my I'm pretty sure it's charge rate
then i just got myself a pretty decent base
Dump stat for a pg is usually thermal resistance
Although you can have middling charge rate and ammo as well
Dumping Charge rate isn't bad
It really isn't gonna like
Change how fast or slow the weapon fires in a way that matters
Least imo
I've argued with someone else otherwise
Probably still want min 60 but it'd be worth a test
I haven't used it in a long while but I think thermal resistance really hurts to dump, no?
You only lose like
At most
1 or 2 shots
eh, just remember to stutter in a venting when you can
That's fair, I suppose it's really preference on what you want to be slightly worse
I am unfortunately starting to think that TR matters very little
I suppose a high tr can get away with more blaze away
I honestly never saw a difference?
3 shots with 78 Theraml resist before hitting 100%
but thats more because plasma guns are powerful enough as it is
Issue being, like I said before you can just
Just mash left click
No need to think
And then when you're max charge vent and then left click
80 stopping 80 dmg left click forever
I wish we could turn into a bomb
(Honestly this brings up the question that, you could dimp TR and CR and get a high functioning plasmagun pretty easy when you only need,80 damage, 80 sp and 80 ammo)
nerf when
and to think that vets can do this TWICE per pickup, and perhaps even FIVE times
3 wound curios op
my god
Vet (plasma) martyrdom
plasma shoots through cover and walls too
Which helbore is the good one?
Shooting, good for shooting
Very helpful, thank you
1 and 2 have the best bayonets btw
What’s the difference?
They both stab, good damage, spammable and you can hold the special button to charge
The Mk3 one is a vertical slash, not as spammable and you can't charge
the bayonet is important because the swap speed is very slow
i suggest doing 1
bayo has poor cleave but very high dmg and stagger
what's up with axes I've been wanting to try something new
rashad
worth trying to upgrade?
stopping power too low
u can use it to farm blessings
another one I have has 55 stability
fr is that the only good one
though damage / ammo / stopp are all good
antax is also good
better atk pattern but less dmg & atk speed
this achyls feels TERRIBLE
achlys axe is pretty meh
yea
I'll see what I got in my inventory
because it sucks?
But how does it suck?
u want bruiser 1 tap breakpoint
which u need decapitator stacks to achieve
u don't gain decapitator stacks unless u 1 tap an enemy from full health
do u see a paradox here

Figured it would be the way it procs
both are bricked
rashad needs +unarmored, BM and headtaker
needs 3/4 roll to be right
I'm just pissing about to see if I vibe with it
Decimator BM isn't terrible tho. Infested for unarmored and it's a passable weapon
Those perks lmao literally the 2 worst possible options
I'd rather have stamina or anything
this antax push attack is goated tho
surely unarmored over block efficiency?
I think infested gives literally nothing but maybe cat knows better than me
You already 1-shot poxxies and dogs
infested are poxbursters, dogs, and poxwalkers
pretty sure you dont wanna be uh
meleeing poxbursters
so yeah its pretty much nothing
also do you do unarmoured flak or maniac?
for rashad?
ye
Unarmored for scav bruisers
Ideally you want unarmored and flak but I'd take unarmored over flak
Nothing good in my rolls dang it.
Unrelated but I'm so used to my chainsword attack speed love that thing
Histg?
Zamn nice
like every room would spawn 2 boss at least
Plasteel count is lacking though afraid to say.
i picked up as much asi could while making sure ppl didnt die to something lel
the psykers weren't doing their part >:(
Id take plasteel income in a curio slot not gonna lie
Would you guys take exec stance more if it also refreshed toughness
Idk I just wanna be able to use my melee weapon in it for now.
I dont care about plasteel pickup in auric
Fair enough though, auric is pure gameplay
yeah
I used sustained fire pre-patch 13
30 ammo bolter my beloved
Yeah god
Ill still swear by bolter but it's a precision weapon now
Magdump crusher patrol magdump crusher patrol do it do it do it
Missed frenzied killer 3 by 5 kills
They had to take it away before adding Stims and weapon specialist otherwise we'd have too much fun
Whats blessing should be fit for plasma gun?
For melee cadia have better crowd control for light attack?
blaze away + gets hot
?
Don't get what you are asking here sorry
Melee weapon chainsword much better for crowd control using light attack?
Depends on the mark
XIIIg likes to kill hordes with light spam
IV uses heavies
Well more accurately the best pattern for the IV is H H L H or H L L H but all heavies works well too
It might be a blessings thing too
Assault chainswords always end up with a weakness in one regard or another
You can get a cleavey one that shreds crowds, kills most elites with revved heavies, but struggles a lot on Crushers and bosses
Or you can get a bleedy one that murders bosses and Crushers but isn't as good on hordes
how viable is bloodletter tho?
What's blessing should I looking into for crowds.
I use gun for special unit.
Melee I found really struggling since I'm not tanky enough
chainsword has savage sweep i believe? which gets you a lot of cleave
Rampage too, which also gives damage
If you want crits go for Shred otherwise I'd go for something more consistent
Your suggestions if I may?
Not really sure what breakpoints need getting tbh
I would just go to psykanium with a grey and see what needs the damage
If you just want horde clear check you can kill bruisers in one hit
Then check all the usual flak/maniac enemies
Very well
sefoni just told me to go away, im so sad
Savage sweep for the IV, Wrath for the XIIIg
And rampage on both
Makes a good cleaving chainsword
Hello! As it turns out through the magic of CLOWN SCIENCE using a chainsword you can one shot a Crusher with a single rev'd attack and you do not need bloodletter either. You just need to crit. There's a blessing called Bloodthirsty that guarantees the next attack is a crit after a rev'd attack kill which will make sure you can kill Crushers on every single rev'd swing. To do this you need a decent stat roll of Damage, Finesse, Shredder and Penetration with your talent tree grabbing Desperado, Bring It Down, Rending Strikes, Precision Strikes and Superiority Complex but tbh I need to experiment more to see how much of all that is actually needed. You do not need Focus Target 5 stacks or Focus Target 8 stacks. You do not need Redirect Fire. You do not need For the Emperor, Marksman or Close Quarters Killzone. You do not need Agile Engagement. You do not need Fire Team. None of those damage buffs are necessary. Pretty easy Crusher breakpoint to hit as long as the Chainsword has +Carapace perk and crits the target
I used Focus Target here because I was testing things in the Psykanium but later discovered it is entirely unnecessary
I feel like Bloodthirsty is a bit gimmicky for the assault chainswords though
I'd consider it on an evis more
It is really just there to guarantee you will kill Crushers consistently tbh. Because if you 1HKO a Crusher, you can 1HKO every single Crusher you rev the sword into after
It MUST be a crit rev attack to kill
No crit means you fall short of the one shot breakpoint unless you do both Carapace AND Elite perks on your Chainsword
You could mix in Focus Target and one of the other buffs I mentioned that I did not use in order to guarantee a Crusher kill on rev attack with or without crit though
Even just Marksman active is enough to ensure the kill
This is with Focus Target 8 stack buff but no crit
This is no crit no Focus Target
This was the Chainsword I used for testing
but yeah if you're building your Chainsword for better Horde clear you can go Rampage + Shred to maximize the weird no crit damage falloff on cleave or go all in on cleave through Rampage + Sweeping Strikes (Mk IV variant) or Rampage + Wrath (Mk XIIIg variant)
you CAN build a Chainsword to kill Crushers consistently but do keep in mind that you are stationary and vulnerable while doing a rev attack into a Crusher, and you need the entirety of the rev attack animation to finish because the last tick is what will kill
Bloodletter is entirely unnecessary unless you want to use the bleed to close the gap on that last bit of health remaining per Crusher
At that point I'd just recommend Bloodthirsty instead because it's more consistent and kills faster vs Bloodletter
Only benefit to Bloodletter over Bloodthirsty would be extra damage on Plogryns, Burgles, Chaos Spawn and Daemonhosts
just more boss DPS
1tap mauler and bulwarks, 2tap crushers
At the cost of horde killing speed of about 30%
I tested it and it goes from 13 seconds to about 22
No, bloodletter on vet chainswords are fairly significant in making the rev worthwhile
I honestly think it's pointless to rev most things besides like mutants without it
That being said, since you were testing a 13, that thing is unplayable without both blessings to upgrade its light attacks, so you can't even afford to stick bloodletter on there sadly
4 is a lot better than 13 for vet
Should the 2nd blessing ideally be Rampage if you run Bloodletter?
Ah
Cleave blessing, I seeee
This was tested against the chart the zealot chat made of naked weapon kill times, only the blessings, no tree boosts
I'd personally run Shred + Bloodthirsty after my new revelation that a Chainsword can be built to kill Crusher squads
All in on crit for funny clown times
13 seconds for 100 poxes is for both blessings dedicated to hordes
But yeah if you have your heart set on Bloodletter I'd probably go with Wrath for the XIIIg or Sweeping Strikes for the IV
Shred is nice for playing with the funny no crit damage falloff for cleave attacks on the Chainswords, a thing exclusive to just the Chainswords not counting the Eviscerators, but more cleave is more consistent for horde clear
My testing with Bloodthirsty has put it as a top tier blessing for me because I can chain Rev kills to 1HKO literally every single special and elite
Going to keep Bloodthirsty going forward for sure
If you only need bloodthirsty to make it work
You can prob keep it fairly decent for horde too tbh
It should still be around the same 22ish second clear since you only have to sac 1 perk to carapace from what I saw you said
I can't remember who it was but a Zealot recommended I try Bloodthirsty a long time ago and after finally trying it I can see why he did LOL
crit becomes very funny on Chainswords
Man I hate when ogryn play as if they were transparent
What about eviscerator XV ? Is it a good weapon ? Which blessings should i run with ?
They end up suffering for it too, at least if they're FNP
Great weapon. Deceptively slow with hordes but very safe
very very good single target damage
it looks like it'd be great for hordes since its lights are all perfectly horizontal but it only damages 4 at a time no matter what you do with it
uh, unless you rev light
but that's slower again, just an opener really
but those juicy overheads, unf
It's a good weapon. Use Rampage and Bloodthirsty, or Momentum, or Shred
I can tell you what you shouldn't run it with! Perfect Strike and Shred. It's a meme build and it's the one I use exclusively for the Evis XV. If you want to play it more seriously you could do Rampage + Bloodthirsty so you're cleaving through hordes well and still killing beefier targets one after the other with it
Thx guys
Perfect Strike and Shred are the blessing combo I use because I can slap through hordes all day every day and ignore bulwark shields, maulers and crushers stopping the blade
it just keeps swinging
never stop
Hey sneaky nice cat ears :]
Best weapon in the game (biased)
I'm more of Crusher fella
I like it for melee only maelstrom with bloodthirsty. Let's you 1 hit everything if you build it right
Can XV one shot crushers without FotF
crit and +carapace perk yes
What they said ☝️. I normally run FOTF anyway to get the guaranteed first hit kill then you can chain it.
Makes sense
I’m wondering if mk2 evicerator can get the same 1 tap crusher without FotF
Isn't mk2 single target worse?
Not even with +carapace and +elite perks?
Welp
Ok yea I remembered
It’s rly low
I'm fairly sure the Mk2 has better carapace penetration, weird huh
Does bloodletter apply to all enemies hit by XV’s cleave, or just the 4 enemies that take dmg
Only the ones that take damage
A revved light will go through 6 targets
And sink its teeth on the 7th
Also, the Mk2 L1 has insane Flak adm
This game is so weird man
U sure?
I’m rly considering bloodthirsty + bloodletter + carapace for an XV rn
It's been a while since I checked but yeah
Bloodletter + scourge probably allows me to bypass taking shred on XV
Since it’ll be super consistent crit chance boost uptime
When did they change Onslaught to Weight of Fire and is it still the go-to?
Rename happened a while ago, yes still go-to
I never bothered with bloodletter on evis, figured 6 stacks wasn't anything special. Am I sleeping on it?
o7 thank ye
If you're going for piety build, shred will be better than bloodletter, 25% from Keystone, 30% from scourge, 20% from shred
And an extra 5% from zealot
Thanks I can't remove them specifically for this server and idk why
Yeah I know goofy we talked about that already, I'm just clowning around
The mocking you always wanted
Plus 6 stacks from bloodletter isn't impressive
Could help chipping enemies down but eh
Ik but the question is, do I rly need shred when I can already get 60% melee crit chance very consistently
Plus bloodletter had better horde clear time than other blessings
This is on top of bloodthirsty guaranteeing crits
Bloodletter (6) + scourge (2) should be 8 stacks of bleed on every dmg-able enemy hit if it doesn’t outright die from a crit
You had a different discord picture for me earlier but when I looked it was the same as always, very strange
Discord is send me to the circus
I see, you want them to bleed, it could work but I wouldn't say it's the best build for Mk15
I’m thinking carapace + bloodthirsty + bloodletter
The revved light will stop at any elite hit, so you might find problems with mixed hordes
Carapace + bloodthirsty for crusher 1 tap without FotF
Bloodthirsty for guaranteed crits
Bloodletter + scourge for consistent crit chance boost & 8 stacks of bleed
That’s the only concern I have but with bloodthirsty I don’t think it’ll be the worst thing ever
I’m still taking FotF for elites in horde
you can just dodge out of a bad rev anyway
also here, you can nsee the 2nd swing procs 2x scourge at once
@tall torrent
im sure it would proc 3x all at once if i didnt already get a proc on teh first swing
not sure why but i get it consistently

My concern is more the "consistent crit" part, bloodthirsty will guarantee a crit so you don't really need the extra chance and to kill Crushers you need a rev heavy preferably on the head
Ok so we get:
Consistent 60% melee crit chance
Guaranteed crits on top of the high crit chance
6~8 stacks of bleed on demand
One shot every enemy without FotF
here, all 3 stack at once
And it has better horde clear speed than normal build without bloodletter
actually the real problem im seeing is that
you need to dodge out of the rev for rev -> light light light
even on a trash horde eventually it gets stuck and an im locks you
so it needs rev light (dodge) light light
over and over
idk if its an issue for dodge limits but yeah
Here's the cool part, Duelist
i cant wait for the crafting rework, hadron has done nothing but ruin perfectly fine MKIV knives
I don’t think it’ll be the worst thing ever
Worst case scenario u take momentum over BP
For better dodge
But since u already can guarantee crits on this build it’s not the biggest loss
too bad you cant block cancel a rev
that would be ideal
bc the 2nd light swing is from the opposite direction
And since u alrdy have crusher 1 tap without FotF, CDR is less of a problem too
on a partiuclarly dense horde you might not get the scourge proc utnil 3rd swing
if you could rev -> L1 -> block cancel -> L1 that would be the best
also would solve dodge limit potential issues
but not possible
hm
cant qq out of a rev either
guess the only thing that cancels a rev is a dodge
tknife is no good either
Yeah, you don't get the big damage at the last tick of damage but it's better than dying
Can you crouch mid Rev? Doubt it would interrupt it or anything iv just never tried that
he's trying to rev to proc bloodletter on a horde
nuking the last poor poxwalker in the row is not really a priority
you can but uh
not really sure what that accomplishes yeah
Well yeah, but if he does take duelist, the crit will kill and not the bleed
It pointless I know lol, just something I never thought to do
I’m not taking duellist with evicerator
actually
if you're a pro gamer, revving doesn't interrupt a slide
you could even do rev -.> light -> rev -> light lul
So while it could work, I'm kinda skeptical
though you're probably 2 blocks away from the enemies after a slide
10 poxwalkers just get 2shot
Yes
That’s the plan

With the amount of crits and CDR u get, it’s prob not the worst thing
Are you talking Invocation of Death?
i guess if you do illsi gameplay
you can even drop the aspd node
completely pointless now
saves 1 pt
I only rly take atk speed for very slow atk speed weapons
Combat axe, crusher, thunder hammers mainly
So you're okay with the Mk15 atsp, interesting
thats the opposite of what we want here though
im trying to figure out wihat actually can interrupt rev besides dodge
since path's intent is to play XV like an illsi force sword
Kind of
Knockbacks
An illisi (that gets to 1 tap crushers & maulers)
the aspd wouldnt matter if you are doing illsi gameplay
well
maybe a very
tiny amount
but not worth a point
I consider FotF’s 20% atk speed buff enough personally
Not really player choice though
The only thing I don’t like about XV’s moveset is the push atk
Wish it had the same horizontal slash like Mk2
Well, the plan is rev light loop, still think you should throw some lights during the buff but oh well
I'm pretty sure they have similar ranges as well
Yea, it’s not pure rev light spam
I still mix in light atks
It’s just that for this build, rev gets much higher value
Is the push attack speed the only difference? It shouldn't be, right?
could you FOTF spam with cooldown on crit for the stagger so you wont have to dodge out of every rev?
so
im trying it in practice
actually
doesntn get stuck very often
hordes just dont clump up the way they would need to
maybe if its a narrow passageway
And if you fury towards them you also create space
zealot chat 2.0
Yea that’s the intention since I have very high crit chance anyways
It’s the only thing I don’t like about XV’s moveset
i think getting stuck is more of an issue if you fight a grou pof bruisers
you get stuck on the 5th guy
so
its much easier
to get stuck i mean
might be better to do powersword gameplay (rev->LLL)on them
Well I still don't feel like approving the build
But I also don't want to rain on your parade
What would u take instead
On XV
Are you going Piety? Your bloodthirsty gives you crit, wouldn't you be "wasting" the keystone
you can just take another keystone th en
You can take momentum with it
since you can benefit from invocation even without bp in this case
I take piety because I play laspistol and crits go hard with it
I can play momentum if I was gonna take braced autogun or flamer
So now you have 30% crit from scourge, but BT gives 100%, I know the plan is to bleed so I know it won't change
Now, should Duelist be part of it, considering you'll be dodging to cancel the rev
Or that you'll be sweeping at weakspot level
you could even skip scourge thinking about it tbh
No because duellist has pretty mid value on evicerator
Best case scenario is me taking ghost + dum dum + laspistol and try to farm for duellist procs
It’s prob not a bad idea to run that
Like, for this
I could go anoint in blood + second wind + duellist/purge the unclean
i would take second wind
too
not swap but just taking it too sounds like a good idea
what happened to vet chat 😭
https://i.gyazo.com/c1c760f3584cc32b13a67d99a12b4a08.png i was thinking something like this if you want duelist lol
I’m cooking up smth malicious
While I'd say you don't need Second Wind, I'm not sure if you'd like to rely on Fury to replenish toughness
Second wind is just always nice
the heck u tryin to do
turn evisXV into a illsi force sword
rev light rev light rev light

what would that accomplish that it doesnt already do by left clicking
6 targets instead of 4
100% crit
1 tap crusher without FotF
but if your rev gets stuck you are forced to dodge out
And a bit better horde clear than shred
i can imagine you run out of dodges at some point tbh still
is it actually faster when you have to throw a rev inbetween your swings
Fun fact, despite not damaging anything past 4-6 target, every target procs crit cdr
Exhillious’s chart showed 16% faster from rampage + bloodletter vs rampage + shred
hmmm
And since the dmg-able target cap is there I don’t think rampage makes the biggest difference on horde clear speed
So while cleave blessings are meh on the 15 they still have some gimmicky build
Bloodthirsty allows u to chain guaranteed crits together which could 1 tap crushers without FotF
i imagine having actual 100% crits is probably still gonna be better than 36 power on avg
since you're almost guaranteed to kill something every swing
maybe i have one lying around
it even lets you drop BP
It’s rly just +36% dmg on 4~6 enemies in this case since extra cleave & stagger don’t matter as much
Due to the dmg-able target cap
yea but horde clear imo is just
my only worry is jsut the dodge limit thing in pracatical scenarios
Damage, cleave, stagger
Lights are bugged so only the last one staggers iirc
its not a big deal on poxwalkers since you actually dont get stuck in them very often
but its much easier to get stuck in bruisers
if there is a bunch
gets stuck on the 5th one
idk sounds cute i guess
Bruisers it’s easier to light spam anyway
ill see if i can try it
They atk faster so it’s better to go for a safer combo
but ill probs stick to my all attack speed martyrdom build lul
You could just stop dodging for a couple seconds it would have a bit more downtime but I guess it's better than anything
yeah but then you have to revert to normal lights or just stop attacking
kinda defeats the ponit of it then
im guessing doing psword combo is better for bruisers though
just to conserve dodges
rev light light light rev light light light
yeah theres a lot of conditionals here
that im just kinda not seeing it
but i do see the potential funnies
Same
i think the nice thing is
from what i tried
you can p much get super value out of invocation of death without even needing bp lol
BP sucks and I will continue to stand by my shitty opinion
you won't be laughing when 20 of your 28 stab wounds were crits
please, ill be dead after one
so
a rev light kills 7 poxwalkers in one swing
with bloodletter
takes like 1 or 2 ticks of bleed
which you probably will end up waiting out since you gotta rev again lul
Keep in mind that a revved heavy feels like a strikedown against any fodder
its faster than regular heavy if you have the space
But only if they are isolated, kill fast af
kind of a funny quirk
the weapon will stay stuck for less time
Keep in mind the amount of enemies, if it's one a revved heavy will be faster than a revved light
If it's a bunch, lights are safer
hey so for the brittleness blessing for power swords, how much is it per stack?
ill save you time
its shit
what's the % though?
nobody really uses it because it's garbage
brittleness stacks are usually 5%
the value is irrelevant since you already have loads of armor pen on the charge
apart from the special extra one that right leg veteran gets which is 10 iirc
last guy lived bc the fucker was ducking
lemme see if i can find a #
I did mention to pay attention to their numbers, you kill one faster with a rev heavy
ok but i mean
if its just one guy
its just literally
one
trash mob
why would you even rev
at all then
you one tap with a unrev light
no?
10%
im just confused in what scenario would you rev heavy a single trash shooter
with a 5% margin of error
always
im sending a message
Depending on the map, some are open so it's risky, some are indoors and the enemies charge you one by one, it's more of a play and notice kinda thing than a written rule
wait wait
yea
i mean more like
if u have one trash mob coming at you
when would you not just light and kill him
and instead rev heavy
besides sending a message
because there is space
i guess if you really hate that guy
It's faster
if they arent in light swing range and you got nothing else going on
rev heavy for when they get in range
is actually faster
Even if slightly, save you some time
but its not really important
other than their radoll folds under you and it's hilarious
per stack? that's pretty nice
that sounds very awfully specific but ya
wait what
nope just 10% flat
And plz, plz rev heavy a Bulwark shield and dodge cancel once it opens
doesnt supercharge have variable stacks based on blessing level? that should change the total right?
I don't want to see Mk15 players dancing around the Bulwark
in that case tier 4 supercharge is 10%
and idk the lower ones
cause i only checked the top
And if it's 3 Bulwarks, you can lock one in the recovering animation and deal with the others
Of course it gets messy during hordes
But I'll be happy as long as you keep yourself alive
Yeah, I think that's all I have regarding the Mk15, at least for now
im still confused why you would need to pre rev for the shooter
why not just do a normal heavy then
unless you meant the inherit rev
is rev heavy faster than just heavy
its not that you would walk up to them, rev, and then heavy
i know you mean pre rev
before you get up
but like whats the point
does it add anything
Yeah
and it makes them deader
On shooters, stalkers, bruisers I think
keep it in mind if im ever in an empty room with 1 shooter mob
oh see
thats the misunderstanding
cause with spread out shooters
sprinting around, sliding, doing rev heavies
will be faster
unless there are two or more standing within light swinging range
if you get the tempo right you even keep most of your sprint momentum inbetween the hits
i c
Does a rev heavy also kills flamers, bombers and trappers faster? I can't remember
dunno i just throw knives at em
Crap, I can't test rn

Gimme 5 minutes to confirm
Oh
Shooters, stalkers, bruisers, poxwalkers, groaners, flamers, bomber, hounds and snipers die slightly faster to a revved heavy compared to a normal heavy or a normal rev light
That doesn't mean you'll always find them isolated
And really puts the single target in Eviscerator Mk15
Good to know I guess
What is a normal rev light
The Bloodthirsty bloodletter one
Isn't that just a rev light
Does the Plasma gun trigger on aim effects when holding down alt-fire? or is that considered charging and not aiming?
Oh you mean not critting by normal
I was confused how you can do a normal rev swing at first lmao
Like isn't a rev swing special by default
Ah, I got it
My bad I guess

But yeah, the crit bleed rev light that we discussed has some potential
Even if I'm not really into it
Welp, off to test martyrdom decapitator axe
It doesn't work with Deadshot afaik so I don't think it works with any ADS buffs
Thank you very much!
