that's what I used it for at first but because I was in a weird era of trying to prove that Recons are ok (they're not) and they're just a high skill floor weapon that punishes players immensely for not knowing how to play them effectively vs other weapons having a very low skill floor like plasma or CIAG and like yeah the Recons can absolutely improve performance when you run the right talent set up, blessings and perks on them to some very silly effect with weirdly good ammo economy that leaves CIAG users and Plasma users behind as far as tins/packs they're eating but it's incredibly high effort for very little return comparably so any reasonable person would look at it and go "I can't fix her" while any clown would go "she doesn't need to be fixed, but I can make her worse"

I'd keep flak personally partially to help with killing dreg bruiser heads/scab bruiser bodies for manstopper evaporation but also to help make Maulers feel less painful to shoot. I'm sure unarmoured helps with some other breakpoint like maybe finishing a Dreg Gunner in less shots/faster TTK but for the meme of Lawbringer to finish out Marksman's Focus 10 stack kills it's really just there to obliterate hordes to push that penance progress FAST

I didn't have flak or unarmoured on the Lawbringer I used for grinding that penance though so you're already better off than I was

I will say that Lawbringer Shotgun arguably has the worst special/elite kill potential of all the shotguns. Agripina Shotgun special slug for sure 1HKOs nearly anything and everything short of Maulers/Crushers and the slug also has armour pen/stagger to put down Crushers and knock Bulwark shields open with 1 shot. Kantrael Shotgun has the highest base damage for standard shots + the fiery shot is ok for flame stacking to kill mixed hordes when ragers are sneaking in amidst poxwalkers

Mk III can 1HKO Crushers and Mk II can 2HKO Crushers too (though up to 7+ shots depending on stats, perks, etc.)

They also do it cheaply considering Shock Trooper and Surgical

A Revolver or Plasma gun will kill a Crusher fast but will be going through ammo much faster and a Mk III 1HKO is faster than both

Mk III can't be beat on ammo efficiency for Crusher killing and is the only weapon that ends up ammo positive or ammo neutral killing one

1. Recon Mk VId can delete Crushers with a funny TTK and very little ammo cost using this build but it requires Onslaught, Rending Strikes, Focus Target and Executioner's Stance from the talent tree as well as Headhunter, Infernus blessings and +Carapace perk to push it to do this
2. No Voice of Command or Infiltrate means you have much less survivability than other builds
3. You want triple Stam curios with stamina regen perks for a total +9 Stam from your curios with another +1 from the Stam talent node near the top of the talent tree to fuel Deadshot crits
4. Focus Target + Target Down helps improve damage, gives you a general toughness regen boost and a Stam regen boost which all play massively into your survival and your damage. You must be used to consistently pinging specials/elites to get the most value of it
5. Duck and Dive is for pushing to the Frontline and baiting shooters so you can dodge them and restore more stamina for more Deadshot uptime for more damage and better ammo economy/better ammo efficiency per target in the middle of combat for even more Deadshot crit uptime
6. Even with all that stamina boosting you will still need to watch your stamina bar and know when to swap between aiming down sights and hip firing to give stamina time to regen during longer bursts
7. Ammo economy is dependent on how good you are at maintaining stamina for consistent Deadshot crit stacking with Headhunter blessing. You will need to have solid aim and keep your crosshairs on heads to maintain good crit strings for free shots through Shock Trooper
8. All this said you will still struggle on two things: boss damage and killing muties. All other maniacs die quick. If you have +Maniac damage as a perk it alleviates that somewhat. Infernus helps alleviate poor boss DPS but it is better to have a handy melee weapon that can do better boss DPS for monstrosities
9. Assuming equal skill level, another Veteran using a Columnus Infantry Autogun will have superior DPS across the board and this build only has superior ammo economy dependent on your ability to maintain Deadshot, crit strings and hovering cursor over heads

Both of those builds really niche, generally speaking they’re not great at killing multiple crushers quickly

wdym you can just use Focus Fire with Redirect Fire and the Mk III will consistently put down multiple Crushers in 1 shot

even if it fails to crit you're killing in 2 shots instead

that's better TTK/DPS and better ammo efficiency compared to Revolver and Plasma

the only things Revolver and Plasma have over the Mk III Helbore at that point would be swap speed

it's mainly just niche because Helbores are a less popular playstyle compared to the ease of use of Plasma gun and Revolver

Plasma and Revolver are just more popular because the playstyles better appeal to the average Veteran

it's not that they're better at Crusher killing, just that the swap speeds feel better for general purpose use and the difference in TTK isn't huge, nor is the ammo efficiency being worse than the Helbore Mk III a big deal in any content other than like maybe no ammo maelstrom and even then plasma and revolver are still serviceable there

Revolver and Plasma will be able to swap targets slightly faster than a Mk III Helbore even with Weight of Fire and good charge rate stat though

Exe’s problem is not reload, it’s rly the lack of defense

Voice of Command is ease of use and more versatile

Executioner's Stance and Infiltrate are useful in less scenarios vs Voice of Command being strong both personally and for the squad for literally any and every moment

Even a bad Vet using VoC infrequently is still getting more value out of it than a bad Vet using Infiltrate

the Exe Stance reload would help things like Boltgun for longer volleys, help for things like Revolver refilling all shots instantly to keep putting out more shots without pausing to reload (for both Agripina and Zarona) and make Shotguns a lot more comfy with Exe Stance

Exe Stance reload just doesn't benefit Plasma to the same degree because your fire rate is limited by heat and reloading normally vents heat too
