You can make it work with automatic weapons like the Infantry Autoguns, Braced Autoguns and Recon Lasguns (even the Mk VId) but you have to play around how fast it will eat through your Stam pool
For example I am a clown who mains the Recon Mk VId and I use triple Stam curios for a total +9 Stam from my curios with the +1 Stam node under confirmed kill near the top of the talent tree for a total +10 Stam then use Duck and Dive in tandem with Focus Target + Target Down to restore a lot of stamina during bursts of fire

He means well I think. He has experimented with the math behind combos, perks, blessings and talents to know how to best hit certain important breakpoints with certain weapons. So I imagine in his head he is doing the mental math seeing that a build may not hit certain breakpoint thresholds under certain conditions and wants to advise how to correct that. Plus newer players often pop in and out so they watch talent builds as ways to play the game and some people are very protective of ensuring new players see the most optimized builds because most people are not coming in with a full understanding of how things work, what the math is or how talents synergize with each other. Easier to give cookie cutter build and let baby ride the training wheels talent set up until they begin to learn more
You can do whatever you want in any difficulty you want if you're good enough
But a new player isn't at that skill level
So a build like my Recon Mk VId talent set up is going to require a lot more effort to play effectively vs a build with more survivability like Plasma and Voice of Command

I think the grenade talents are holding together the no keystone build though

So I've been a part of that negative train of thought for so long hating on keystones because they frankly are underwhelming if your expectation was a flat stat boost like some other classes right
but each one rewards different gameplay habits, some questionable (focus mark) some pretty damn cool ( weapon specialist)
At the end of the day for a game mostly about repetition its cool to have variety in gameplay and keystones give you that flavor

So pretty much all guns can have the buff on it, making it only the first shot limits the efficiency to single fire weapons (It gives a firerate buff, but that means that depending on how you play, you just burn ammo faster)

This speaks more to how busted the Plasma is ye. Fun of the revolver weapon spec build is really just being able to interact with the hybrid combat more. Shout also becomes a more valuable CC tool when you're always in melee range and being surrounded by enemies

I made a lawbringer shotgun with manstopper and scattershot blessings and usually got full stacks on mf with a single special shot vs trash horde. Still a slog imo but it def sped it up
