My first endgame roll was a Recon Lasgun and it's been one of my favorite things but it always felt a little off with Shocktrooper.

So, Recon Lasgun with crit chance and crit chance on headshot (forget the name)... Run Executioner's stance with Con Fire up to 15 stacks and rending above 10, have at least 10 stacks, have both the bonus weakspot damage and bonus weakspot damage on ability use talents, run Onslaught, pop Executioner's and facemelt the poor bastard.

Smoke and everything else aside, I think the Daemonhost and Gunner/Shotgunner changes are the biggest alterations to gameplay. Fairly big changes.

Frags are just good in general (most of the dmg is bleed), perks are most relevant but some blessings can help (uncanny strike, pinning fire, etc)

Tbf it massively trained me on pushing and movement
So it's a blessing in disguise
These are some of the most impactful changes of this update imo
Daemonhost
- DH now only kills the player who triggered it across all difficulties (1 kill max)
- You can no longer trigger DH through concrete walls (requires direct LoS)
Scab Trapper
- trappers can no longer shoot nets through fences, grates or other transparent barriers
Bulwark
- bulwark shields will now be disabled during light & medium staggers
Smoke Grenade (veteran)
- smokes should now instantly stop ranged enemies from firing, including snipers (& gunners, mob shooters, reapers & shotgunners)
Gunners & Shooters
- scab/dreg gunners, as well as scab/dreg shooters will no longer push players back
This patch seems like a big W, people still gonna be mad at lack of content but the QOL stuff is much appreciated

Trappers already got fucked with targeting with smokes but maybe before firing outside of the smoke cloud they were still locked

unironically true on some guns like the CIAG, the difference between 0% ammo and 80% ammo is like 10 mag and 100 reserve.
Ammo for weapons can live at being less than stellar. Some weapons a 20% difference is barely a mag

They also fixed Krieg helm’s mask clipping into the coat’s collars
Mobility and Defense matter about 0.0001% of the time as long as they are above 51%

51% is the lowest it can be to give you maximum dodges, which are important. I usually toss guns with mobility in the 40s or less unless they are otherwise perfect

It doesn't make it easier to charge or give you more charges in practice, you can supposedly just adjust what moves you use (useless)

Fixed an issue with ‘Shock Trooper’ talent causing rapid fire weapons to consume ammo during Critical Strikes.
time to dust off that recon stealth smoke grenade
Not really, it's still less than half as effective as patch 13 on a 6d.
They've once again chosen not to directly buff recons.
It doubles the effectiveness of shock trooper from last patch though.
So it should serve as a good reminder to take the talent.
