KF1 has a very distinct feel, admittedly due to it starting as literally a mod and then expanding, but KF2 scrubbed the more grounded horror elements and player control out fairly thoroughly in favor of charging people for absurd costumes.
That's not to say I think KF2 was an all around loss even though they made welding completely useless among other gameplay changes that fucked up the entire flow like monster spawns. I think they did great with the gunplay mechanics and perk systems as well as the monster physics and animations.
I wouldn't call KF2 predatory or exploitative but it's inching two out of ten toes across that particular line

nah im pretty poor for blessings. which after 700 hours I think indicates a problem with game design. they should be either unlocked after using a weapon over time or unlocked by character level.

I think for a few people it triggers their completionist thing and they will grind and grind to get everything. i cbf 100% achievements for most games. once it becomes more grind than fun i switch to something else
i guess its coz hours invested justifies more spending for a lot of people
