You will mow down the hordes
Power is better than flat damage
because of some math shenanigens
Unless the damage buff is particularly high
You specifically will never get one either. Everyone else will, but Mr "I Don't Read" won't.
Flak and unyielding is good
yee
Could change deathspitter for dum dum if you want a better blessing
Its strong as it is now
Dum dum building up stacks fast then unloading at unaware enemies is one helluva moment
I think death spitter stacks
heh
i had taken it off my heavy stubber before
i could had actually kept it on
tho it is close range kill only
Will do its worth
Not that goofy ah carbine SBR
But agrippina autoguns were used by the Vraksian militia too
One thing I have to admit is Agripinaa Braced Auto Barrel is fucking slick
damn i can almost one magazine a boss with volly fire on
Siege of vraks long story
with this autogun
A whole story of twists and turns innit?
if im hitting weakspots
With many days worth of lore videos
oh hey its my morning routine music
tho hey so if i replace one of my blessings with dum dumn
which one should i replace?
like between fire frenzy and death spitter?
I think fire frenzy
You have to kill with fire frenzy
And deathspitter is power, which is better than just damsge
oh ok thanks for info
@placid portal whats the actuall effect power does?
also im definity glad to have an actual nice looking skin for this autogun
Dmg/Stagger/and maybe even cleave
Isnt it like 1.5% damage and extra stagger?
Or something like that
Its better than damage trust me bro
Power affects alot of things in general
I know what im doing

Wish infantry lasguns had deathspitter or dumdum
What’s why I’m hoping for hellguns to be added at some point
so replace fire frenzy right?
i got dumdum perk now
or blessing i mean
so currently i can replace just one
so i should replace fire frenzy right?
because sadly i had to replace one of the perks so i can only replace one blessing
i really would like to confirm that its better to replace fire frenzy right?
since deathspitter would be better?
tho would you say fire frenzy works better since its 9% damage and it stacks 5 times too?
its basically 45% damage boost
Replace ff, as if it actually works according to its description, it's range specific damage (7-8m) and wont apply past that. Deathspitter is power which gives cleave, stagger, AND damage, on top of presumably being range unspecific. Deathspitter also stacks to 5, despite the description.
and damage ontop of that?
Dumdum (which is bugged to be much better than it should be) is the most important one and as long as you have dumdum the second blessing doesn't matter.
Stagger
i do have it
Yes, power is always superior to just damage
You ideally want flak/maniac but that's fine, best you can do in the circumstance
yeah it's usually one or the other with Flak priority. You're fine
luckly unyielding
Then you did what you could, the gun is insanely overtuned
and the two blessings was good
You can do this kind of damage at gray and talentless to maniacs on bodyshots, and IAG's are finesse weapons
so what would you say be good talents?
Anyone else have an absolutely cursed character?
I have a zealot where I can win only 1 in 4 missions, even on T3.
tho how do i show my enitre talent tree?
i seen some people doing it
in here so how do i also do that?
go to gameslantern website for darktide, they have a talent builder
Onslaught is a must have on automatics, and toughness dr is a must have. Apart from that it depends on your ult.
Oh, and always take survivalist.
does anyone have an agri shotty build they want to share? I have one but im also lookng for inspirations or anything I might have overlooked
Should I take Survivalist or Fire Team?
almost everyone runs suvivalist. Even then, run survivalist.
depends on your playstyle, I would say majority of people are better off with survivalist
but ive seen some seasoned players (level 1000+) taking fire team
fire team seems way too small of a buff tho
especially when comparing what survivialist does
At least it's better than the Psyker's, which is just 5% extra damage against Elites and (maybe) Specialists only.
also hey sow hat do you think of my talent tree?
I don't think you need tinkered/field improv/team highlighting and immunity suppression
get rif of those and you have tnough for onslaught
No survivalist
that im currently using for the autogun
Use those ammo bins
I would also go with Sup Complex and Bring em Down instead of Marksman and Rending Strikes
Path to onslaught instead of rending strikes
tho i could change it
It's much better on automatics
There's also a few points that have dubious value
like enhanced target priority, since it can allow your teammates to poach your ult targets and deny you resets
also going with frag nade saves you a point
the point above rending is 25 toughness and i went toughness heavy(206)
this?
you can get both rendings if you like that!
you won't even need krak cause 2xrending means carapace = butter
hmm okay
They're redundant with that kind of rending setup
columnus can put out insane dps on them
oh yeah but also with the infinite grenade talent point
i can yeet two crushers for example and not use ammo
and against bosses
weapon specialist
very big boss damage
mad lad runs nearly 0 toughness regen
glassiest of canons, I approve
but swap Tunnel Vision for Exihilarating and you'll have a much better time tbh
With a Bolter, I don't think I can reliably land headshots.
(Mostly since I can't tell if I hit the head or not)
i hate the right side though 😭
The same goes for the body.
.. usually
so deadshot doesnt give you any breakpoints at all with bolter?
Shrug
oh sorry
I'm just experimenting with a crit-focused Bolter.
i didnt read the messages above
Dead shot just gives you crit chance
get rid of opening salco and tunnel vision for close quarter drill and confirmed kills
meant to say precision strikes
And swaying.
Compensate for sway with skill
precision strikes is really good on bolter for like 3 different breakpoints
but they said they are not hitting heads
Which I lacked specifically with a Bolter.
XD
so it doesn't matter
right side is great with my agri brauto and psword and swapping between the two depending on immenent threat, stacking attack speed for the other weapon.
Dealing with a horde and a pack of ragers comes in? Swap to brauto and dump the whole mag in 2 seconds into the rager's head,
understandable
I try to hit the head, but I usually either miss or hit the body instead.
Here's my melee vet build
I just kinda kill the ragers with melee
Relatively new to darktide, but been running damnation with it regularly
so yknow
I'm almost in this picture and I like it
I've recently become a shredder frag believer
Chew through a small horde with melee then whip out the vraks 3 for ragers and specials, extra attack speed and crit chance on those headshots
you weren't before?
Let me just say this
No I used kraks more
i also do like shredder frags i just really like having kraks
But the twins fight showed me how effective it was against maulers
You can literally give me a gun with worse stability than the Bolter, and I will somehow be able to land more headshots with it than with a Bolter
bolter crit body one tap nearly everything anyway so it's valid to go the body tap crit route
I would still say opening salvo is hardly worth it though
Is it better off on a revolver?
if you get rid of Tunnel Vision and Opening Salvo for Close Quarter Drill and Confimed Kills, you are so much tankier imo
idk if it's good on anything except the las guns
since shocktrooper is a thing for the lases
like think about it, 10% crit on 10% of mag is 0.1 x 0.1 x CritModifier which is laughably low unless you are reloading constantly which also interferes with your DPS
I think there's a very niche build excellent for that
it's "OK" on oldvolver
Just because I'm constantly loading it
What's a good melee weapon combo with plasma
an argument can be made for shotguns for similar reasons
I wonder if you can do weapon specialist with that build, for the automatic reload, if it works
YES
It ensures you always have a round in the chamber for revolver, it's practically match-made for revolver between that and the guaranteed crit
Oh, I see what you mean, like if the auto-reload procs the 10% crit
basically anything, due to the nature of plasma. But I gravitate towards shovels and chain weapons
IDK, but it doesn't matter either way with the guaranteed crit of the keystone itself
I never used opening Salvo before
True enough
crit should over flow
and if you are over 100% there should be a chance you crit twice

Red crits
I don't care if it's broken. Also uncap fire
no no just let it be such that you can crit again
I can't deny the crit calculation is saddening
150% means you are guaranteed a crit, and 50% to do another
i don’t like using Opening Salvo at face value without some kind of crit synergy build
Stacking crits would be hilarious
this way the revolver might actually one shot bosses
Build called, one in the chamber
I can see crit damage getting out of hand if it was calculated differently though
I need to get used to executioner stance for the penance
Yesterday I went into a match with the wrong build
Stealth moment. Pulled out gun instead
I like survivalist just because it helps maintain neutral ammo economy but it's not really necessary
You don't need survivalist imho, except for those missions with no ammo pickups
The extra ammo node is generally enough
cause with surv I go through an entire game and took like 2 small bags
and still full ammo
in the end
until you get kicked or everyone in the lobby leave
I like survivalist so I can keep shooting simple as
True
But I have 1-2 loadouts without it so I don't have a game with 2 vets with it
This is the "idiot, average 'smart' guy, enlightened genius" chart meme in action with survivalist on both ends
Without survivalist, I go through your average damnation with maybe, one or two full resupplies at most
with average smart guy in the middle crying and saying it shouldn't be necessary don't take it it breaks the game waaaah
idk, if you zoom a little to the right suddenly it's fire team again
and oh boi its a lot of fun
But it really depends on your weapon and ammo usage
cause afaik both people with level 1000+ that I know took fire team in their main build
Like I'm not emptying my vraks into a horde
I think all 3 auras are fine, the real genius move is taking what saves you the most points
If I could I'd take movement speed every time, but alas
The gungryn can cry all he wants
Like bro...it's free ammo. Until fatshark does something with it the only thing I'm paying for is talent tax and most don't see vet keystones as make or break for builds. I can run w/o survivalist but also...free ammo
Survivalist is very likely to give both you and your team more value than any points you'd save
don't care
It is better to die for the Emperor than to live for yourself

So the only reason I'm really not using survivalist is only my stealth MF loadout or because there's another vet with it
Loose cannot vets be like, ammo... for everybody?! You might shoot me in the back with it
i like survivalist because my team ogryn can go full dakka with grenade launcher
Yo you know how many vets I seen with survivalist when I was trying to do my accuracy penance?
Lots prob
"I'm trying to run out of ammo, stop giving me more"
Although all you have to do is spend your ammo to zero then switch to melee and never swap back
unless something changed
Replen into your ammo pool doesn't count if you don't swap to it
When thr Ogryn obliterates a whole shotgunner squad with the kickback and the survivalist kicks in
I even took a bolter, just instagibbed a boss and still by the end of the match I picked up 4 stray rounds and was like "damnit"
I think I got it using a shotgun, but it was a longass time ago
I made it thankfully with my plasma gun
The no damage one I got by accident at some point
No ammo pickups the entire match, ran out right at the finale and all was good
Was actually surprised when I decided to go for it I got it. After that match been a lot better with awareness and dmg mitigation
Plasma's a good pick for it too yea
nah fuck them, i hate gun focused ogryns with a passion
literally the most braindead style in the game
hold M1, hog ammo, die in melee
I’m glad I can choose to take off the ammo aura for that penance, props to whoever got it done with scav aura
but you have 3 wounds by default so you can rinse in repeat
Yea I think that penance is actually a really great one because it seems like it would be difficult to get, but in actuality it's just teaching you how to play properly
What exactly is braced mode supposed to do on the mk8bag?
and it's always the Xbox players too since you don't need to aim with gungryn
a class made for bad players
Most of the other penances are "what the fuck were you thinking fatshark"-tier
i despite them
Idk man. Mashing LMB with my bull butcher regening toughness as Ogryn is my 🧠 kinda being off
Or wound mkxv evis zealot
still take more brain than holding m1 at the general direction of the enemy
reduces vertical recoil and makes your spread slightly more horizontal, do not recommend using while moving
when I have one I try to stay out of coherency so they don't get ammo
fuck them, they need to learn to melee
crouching and bracing does make you shoot reasonably accurately
What's so fucked up about this is, and I don't usually play gungryn, but when I do I still save it for moments where it's actually needed. Meanwhile every gungryn I run into in pubs is on red ammo after like the VERY first horde
Insane
And then they get mad when other people pick up ammo
and they run into your firing line
WELL BITCH MAYBE DONT SPEND ALL YOURS IN ONE PLACE
I mean vets crutched on bolter and ps1 for a long time lol
I was whinging one match when I was dead. It was gunlug grenade launcher ogryn. He popped his ability shooting his grenades at the horde...outside of coherency while the vet has survivalist. Like bruh
I suspect you're right about those ones that blow through rounds like singles at a strip club being low skill because they always end up going down like shockingly quick
Almost regardless of build ogryn should be the last one standing barring some particularly bizarre turn of events
That's just RPing Ogryn
He wouldve like gotten back like 10+ grenades with all the elites and specials that were coming their way
Bro, toxic
I am
Chill youself amigo, you've got mudkip as a profile pic
Dont go givin him a bad rap now
recently I play with just healthbar, ammo, and ult cd hud
i don't see teammate healths anymore

cause idc, dun need em
and no I actually play like this
Just a dumb thought that popped up in my mind.
Mudkip the chad but toxic starter. Fucking water type that evolves to be immune to electric? Fuck you
Riight, well, you enjoy that then I guess.
"why would i even bother checking on my teammates in my coop game?"
Volley Lasgun when?
I think the line actually learn toxic quite early too
I think he was just saying they're blocking your shots to be able to spend their own ammo lol
Don't even argue with him man, this dudes mind is made up. Ain't getting into my squads anytime soon with that attitude, tho
lol
Either a multilas or a hellgun, uncertain if we will ever get either
Mudkip needs some chill pill
hello fellow veterans is this boltgun a good purchase from sire melk?
Not the worst
Multilas is a big weapon.
Like, Twin-linked heavy Stubber big.
Yes
I mean what am I supposed to do for them?
I don't really take medicae, maybe like once a game
I don't hold the green stim, I use it on whoever was downed immediately
Worth.
If they are netted/dogged, there is sound cues
Swap gloryhunter and ranged damage specialists
I just run to them
Good ass boltgun there
Helping teammates is for the weak of constitution and frail of mind
godroll
glory to surgical and specialist to flak or elite
no carapace?
aight
You can, it's not a bad idea tbh, but you get more values out of the other stuff
Krak nades for ogryn, boltgun for maniacs and flak and specials
Melee for everything else
If you like it, it doesn't hurt tbh
Idk if I want to spend ten gorillion ordos needed to build a surgical + pinning bolter when my shattering + pinning is doing OK. It's not that I don't want to try it out to see the difference, it's just I've been hurt so many times before
😿
I mean hey don't do what you don't wanna do, bro
If your boltgun works it works
Maybe someday down the line invest in a surgical pinning when you feel like it
Besides, meta might change, they may change the blessings a ton later
Hello germers. I have a lil question which may be hard to specifically answer. Might be depending on build, I know BUT in general.
I never know what the best blessings and pers to use on the Curios. Like, what are the best ones in general, and those you always pretty much wanna go for? I know that Zealot for example wants wounds. But in general.
Thanks :)

toughness for Vet
Toughness toughness toughness. Maybe 1 wound if you arent confidant.
Get damage reduction on bombers, flamers, gunners, and sniper
Toughness regen
Annnd
I just realized what you meant lol,
im not saying them to unalive
i meant so they can shoot the stuff by themselves by blocking other's LoS
And neither is the 5% movement speed aura
Change aura to 50% move speed

Hell yes
Vet zoomin' gamin'
We zoom
mfw Youtube's Algo takes 3 days to realize your video is worth pushing.
Good morning vets
I think vets want some combination of Toughness, Health, Stamina, and maybe 1 Wound if you are into that
Perk wise it's usually Gunner, Sniper RES, more Toughness, Health, Stamina Regen Speed, and god forbid, Ordo Generator
All Ordo dockets is mandatory in this economy
Morning. Reminds me I need to actually upload a clip where I joined a game, there's no enemies, no music, no sound and I type "it's quiet" and immediately all the spawn noises started happening and 1 guy went "suddenly its too loud"
it's funny
Bro whyyyyy tho
deadshot
it sounds troll af ik
i had the same reaction when I heard it
but it actually works
I bet your build would be great with Revolver
Is extra xp still on curios
yeah 😔
yea
Imagine if there was a material bonus option
May roll that on my other toons to finally level them
I… honestly would still prefer ordos, I think
Extra dockets optimal
Ordos can get me good item bases, I can collect plasteel in the meantime
maybe you should get idk, 10% more stuff if you join an already departed fire team?
More opportunity to interact w/ trash crafting
I already do. I want more
But I’m the type of person that checks the exchange like… 10 times a day, if I can afford it, so my perspective is a little different
I just ignore the rng and buy my stuff directly out of the store
So I always know what I'm getting
im running out of ordos faster than platsteel chasing 370+ near perfect guns tbh
I do crafting maybe once a month
I pick a weapon I want to play with then never touch it for a while
I check all my chars every rotation on the occasion I play
Damn psyker still doesnt have a staff
Right now rolling for my 80 dmg/stopping power helbore mk1
like 1M ordo can get you what, 3-4 usable 370+? one of which is usually 60% damage so that's down to 2-3?
Also, on my comment re: Ordo properties - ONLY take these if you’re feeling confident you can win consistently
Ordo docket perks make no sense if you’re losing
yeah the high BST chase is a real ordo bottleneck
Its about getting that sweet 550
Even if its completely trash
I mean...are the 3 different stats you can choose going to make or break you winning a game?
That way you can post here and feel cool
It can potentially get me hundreds of good bases, but I basically never buy things at Brunt’s, so there’s that
i want to find the brickiest 550 there is
Brunt is a money sink that is veeery against you
One thing I wish I did was keep the lowest tier trash roll possible from level 1
I actually got 1 last night. Now to see if Hadron bricks it
Yeah, i'd win
Just wait for good rolls to pop up in brunts shop and buy it outright, even if its blue
Saves plasteel and dockets
wait how do you craft then? just Melk?
90% of the weapons I end up using start at Brunts
I think I got a natural 370 PS with PC4 from Brunt
Maybe, I don’t know, I don’t feel like changing the 3x ordo perks for say, Max health, to survive accidents with poxbursters will make a huge difference, because I still will be one step away from dying
but memory is hazy
The only 380 I have is bolter
For optimisation’s sake, Ordo perks are not optimal
ORDOS OPTIMAL
My 380 powersword was from brunts store, I bought it was a grey
They are a flex that allow you to get more resources
Turned it into a 450 god roll
Currency is optimal
I will accept no other opinions
Mine would be a braced Columbus autogun
(I secretly believe this
)
It’s a psychological drive for sure
Bigger number gooder number
I live with at least 8% ordos to change the other stats
Its just science
May run ordo on my ogryn, but veterans a bit too squishy
Needs the damage reductions
is that why the US national debt is increasing day by day?
I need a good ogryn buddy to run him with
We have to be #1, remember?
The only caveat is that my friends make fun of me for having two separate (if AT LEAST) sets of curios, one for sweaty gameplay, and one for sweatier gameplay (the ordo ones)
what do you mean bro
what's a good brace autogun for a voice of command build?
I mean thats fine
Always #1
My ogryn has been blessed by the emprah. Sure I do feel like spending on him to get him more and better stuff but he was like just given really solid stuff at 30
I like agripanaa
mr i dont read, what are you yappin about my dude
It's not dps if your missing your shots afterall
The key strategy is to never miss a bullet
i thanks for suggestion
I mean ey bro, helbore exists for a reason
Youre welcome glad I could help
Brautos: if a guns aim was drunk
is it me or the Agripinaa line generally has better range?
Speaking of I want to try helbore sometime
Yeah it does
It has the precision keyword
No idea I never tried brautos
like Agi shotty has better range, Agri auto better range
is Agri HH better range wise then Vraks?
Shoot a room full of gunners with helbore > hit reload > you never used ammo
I never noticed if there was a pattern between the names & marks
Ya blessings share between name weapon types
Helbore being the most ammo positive gun and the vet basically not needing to pick up any ammo
I.e all braced autoguns share the same blessings
Even if it’s a diff pattern if they share a weapon type it should use the same blessings as the others
Mhm, the manufacturing world does each have it's own difference though.
Columnus has a fat ass magazine.
Agripana has more accuracy.
Etc, etc.
The 3 combat shotguns should be different marks and not different families imo
I really hope the shotguns get a little more love sometime later
They're very fun but oof that reload speed
Love the kanteael shotty
Dunno, I feel a bit Arbiter Foreboding with the reload
Agri I used for the twins fight but that's all
They can probably use a little more cleave though
More cleave would be really nice
That's why I take the kantrael
I'd also like the special attack to load a bit quicker
They definitely lack a bit of the meaty thump that the Vermintide grudge makers have
Hmm
Scattershot + no respite
I love my Agri shotty though
I have a preference for the darktide shotguns myself, but only because the grudge rakers have fuck nothing for range in VT
I havent used it in months
And super tiny mag
I dont know
law is what
They should rework the lawbringer special and I know just the solution
The og shotgun
i meant what is the special. slug, fan out?
We need combi-shotguns with a plasma gun duct taped below it
Fan out
i dont see the point in fanout
Make it a double shot blast with higher shorts range power and less long range power and higher spread
Hit wider
its purely for horde management and loading the special takes extra time
Yeah same, I really wanna like it but it's not that great
If it staggered ragers that would be better
its a special made to save you time
Clearly they need to give fanout infinite cleave
but you invest time for using it
cleave on fanout would be weird though
shouldnt it be the opposite?
slug has piercing
Infinite cleave on all shots
Ez fix
I think it's recently buffed enough that with Flechette you kill everything
flechette was bleed?
6 stacks
that's like frag nade stacks
but I think the base damage is higher on Law than nade's initial explosion
so walkers should all die
only against male enemies
Ogryn lore be damned I wanted a playable female ogryn
I wonder if ogryns has marital issues
Sorry to budge in again, fellas. This is just a lil info I gathered from asking all the different classes which curio blessings and perks they would use.
X Gunner Resistance (10)
VIII Health (8)
VI Toughness Regen (6)
II Stamina Regen (2)
VIII Toughness (8)
IV Ordo Dockets (4)
I Corruption Resistance
V Sniper Resistance (5)
II Wound (2)
I Bomber Resistance
I Flamer Resistance
I Stamina
I Ability Cooldown
Would you say this feels accurate? :)

"Babe, I love you, but I love the Emprah too"
Not enough Stam regen believers
I run double Stam regen on my vet
Im not sure if ogryns can comprehend marriage
Depends on the build really
Got triple ability cooldown and dockets cuz my vet is there to yell and make money
My vet uses three +2 stamina and stamina regen curios because deadshot
My vet uses 1 hp, 1 wound, 1 3 Stam curio
Trying to rework them though
Like I have a pox hound resistance curio, but I need to swap it with a burster
Sadly nothing protects against bursters
Bomber right?
If you saw this post, then you'd know bursters can't be resisted outside of extra toughness
I'm still reading through it tbh
If situation permits, I'll pop VoC before a burster explodes. Many many times it saves people's health from inevitable QP fuck ups
Kark'n things
Born Leader now working also means VoC can almost fully restore a teammate's toughness too
Assuming you have a lot of toughness that is
That stacks? 👀
Yeah
Nice
Guys do you know who is counted when the blessings say gunner resists on curios
Dreg gunners and scab gunners
So the stubber and hotshot las people
Normal enemies don't count
What about shotguners and reapers
Ya the regular troopers don’t care
Shotgunners don't, I don't think Reapers do either
It was a calculation assuming it did work
Basically "would it have been worth it"
Lame, alas
I've been wanting to use the helbore for a more traditional DMR role but man these vanilla sights are ass, at least give us a ring sight or something if we gotta go irons
I would recommend the power of customization mod but I don’t think that would permanently fix the problem
It's a perpetual bandaid for as long as the mod keeps being made
Unfortunately fatshark works at a snails pace even for simple things
is the tunnel vision perk any good?
What does that do
You, specifically, will never achieve a hat, especially with your lack of reading comprehension
No
Toughness regen talent for Marksmen keystone
I feel reapers are
Not shotgunners
I don't think they even have anything in regards
why are you being so toxic bro 😢
Why do you keep pinging the wrong person
idk bro, there was an argus who used to be here, thought you were him
sorry man
he didnt show up on the @ yesterday
dont need to be so rude my man
Ngl u both having default pfps make this interaction funnier to me
somethings wrong with your discord
I dont have a default pfp
only @ you the last 2 days mr argus
Oh the power of mobile compels me got ya
@restive mountain get a load of this guy trying to steal your name
i agree, the default PFP argument is perfection
we move on to other argus'
I will find the right one
Mitosis
What's good?
Ayy my man
this man was being toxic to me
because I thought he was you
apart from that
I have an epic veteran build for throwing grenades and shooting, cant wait for FS to change the value of something by 1% and reset it
Plasma vets and psykers when blowing themselves up(there was a special/elite that died so it was worth it)
Aye lets go
are there any aquila bought revolver skins out?
did you see the vet cosmetics I posted
Anyone got a good build for a heavy gunner sort of build
Like spray n pray with a braced autogun or recon Lasgun what we talkin here
Mow down everything with a braced auto gun
I’ve kinda got that going rn but I feel like it could be better
Hi, what's the highest single target dps gun in the game for veterans? I wanna be backline just picking out specialists/elites/etc
probably plasma gun
hmm
Yep
Plasma’s perfect
Obviously be careful, but assuming you do that you’ll be fine
Well you don't really gotta be careful IF YOU MEET THE BREAKPOINTS

Can't blow up on left click
what would y'all say is the best crowd clear melee for vet?
The lasgun Ia isn't a bad choice either if that's your flavour
which kind of lasgun?
The Ia is an infantry lasgun
ah gotcha
Probably power sword (with PC), the cleave is just unmatched
which mark?
The 6 is probably the objective choice. I'm still a mk3 simp tho
Idk the mk6 has never felt as good as the mk3 to me even tho the math is better on the 6
What does the best power sword look like? I guess obviously power cycler IV but idk about other blessings and perks (especially slaughterer vs bromentum)
I wanna try a mkVI
how have you been me boy, also i didnt see the cosmetics
Why is my ogryn teammate having the situational awareness of a deer in a headlight and the reaction speed of the same deer after it is hit?
Bromentum is vastly better than slaughterer. So you want PC and then either bromentum or sunder. Bromentum is better for straight up chaf clear, sunder helps deal with mixed in elites.
Dude just plonks his shield down then die to fire
Bone’ead machine broke
I'm starting out running it with a plasma so I'll go for the bromentum variant
yeah go for it
I guess it's still good enough to kill elites too, at least the maniac/flak/unarmoured ones
power sword unironically kills everything
Both are good against all armor, the mk6 kills them faster with the push attack
Slowly beginning to distance myself from the community
So how much of a difference would sunder make? I guess for those 10+ crusher party packs it helps more there?
Seen too many mentally unstable people in this discord
sunder lets you just swing spam into hordes and not get caught on armor, so you can keep clearing chaf while chunking elites. Otherwise you gotta poke the elites before continuing to sweep clear chaf
ooh, thought it was a rending thing
oh, i just pop in for a chat every now and again, where are these cosmetics also?
@final locust
perseonally I almost never run sunder, bromentum feels good and increases my horde clear speed which is what i want. I almost always pair it with a good ST gun for the elites
Maulers and crushers are run killers, but if I'm gonna go plasma then I don't really need the extra help on them
k, just need a power cycler IV to drop
I've got PCIII but it makes me too sad
LOL yeah thats the hard part, its the rarest in the game
I've seen it in the melk shop before with about 100 bucks too little to get it
I swear Flechette and Manstopper are rarer
and I've been playing since release on and off pretty much
They're not easily available at level 30 is the problem
you gotta get them either on a new character or get lucky with the requisition shop
I usually run plasma/bromentum ps/krak nades. Plasma will kill anything at any range, ps clears groups like noones business, and kraks kill anything mixed into the chaf if my plasma cant deal with it fast enough. between the 3 you have solutions to any problem in any combination
that is pain. ya I was poor for months grinding for it before i found it at melks shop
You can’t get these from rolling if you are level 30 as you’ll only get tier III and IV blessings at that point. Either have to wait for them to shop up at brunt’s or level a new veteran or zealot to 17 or so and start rolling for it.
Kantrael infantry Ia
that's... what I'm trying to say
I'm sorry. But what kinda fucked up system is this?
the one that wont get fixed
I see lol, I’ve heard of people wasting thousands of resources at level 30 trying to roll for it only to find out it can’t be done. I’m doing this now with my level 17 veteran, the cost to consecrate is like half of what it usually is so it’s not too bad. Got manstopper, now I’m just looking for flechette.
because it'll break the gameplay loop
i think level 2 can still drop but it's rarer?
looks cool, i like the hats but im desperate for some more proper helmets
SO
AMIGO
as opposed to hats or helmets that are just mashed together pieces of scrap
Ideally fs just adds in a blessing shop
there's a scion one
That's not entirely true, if you roll lower level items (like sub 315) you have a chance at T2. But yeah better to just hunt at Brunts
10k plasteel for level one, plus 10k more for each level up
take it or leave it
Good enough, 40k for power cycler 4
Well here's the thing
I think it has to do with the weapons stat score. I heard that you can’t roll tier II blessings on 300+ weapon scores and at level 30 you can’t roll a weapon lower than 300
That is technically a Kasrkin helmet
There's a scions backpack that has been in the code as well
YOu've seen me post it like 8 billion times
theres probably gonna be a full set no?
I'd assume so
most likely yeah
I think you know what Kasrkin helmet I mean
They just haven't created the top and bottom yet
Change it to diamantine and you got yourself a deal. Honestly 1000 diamantine for a T4 blessing of choice (250 per tier?):sounds like a healthy balance
that helmet looks so damn cool argus
How tf
I have 8k plasteel and 40k diamantine
Hopefully the helmet changes our voices like the psykers helmets do
get high BST
upgrade to Blue
swap the blessing at Blue to tier 4 of something you dont want
keep going until Orange
replace back at orange the blessing you screwed
I haven't been able to confirm if this even woorks
I'm just hoping there's an entire outfit with it
Because you can still roll for a t3
@restive mountain the helmet I REALLY want is this
I mean give it time
I want this to release
it's just gaming the odds. I have the platsteel and diamantine to spare
but ordos is actually lacking
me too, i'll open the dam that is my bank account
This still costs like 1800 plasteel and only 400 diamante per item. Which is like 2-3 runs worth of plasteel and 1-2 runs worth of diamantine
let the dolla flow
We may see winter gear for Christmas before this but who knooows
I feel like if FS see the sales numbers of the scion helmet do well, they'd probably start releasing more closed face helmets
since hunting 370+ with good distribution is ordoo heavy
Ice mourn outfits
What's the dump stat for a MkVI Power Sword?
Hunt at Brunts instead of the rec shop, way easier on the wallet
Assuming Finesse because Brutal Momentum will make it redundant
Mobility and cleave targets
By Finesse I meant Cleave
I think if you run from grey to orange you have the correct amount of pla to dia?
im spending more resources on the later stages, so it's slightly more dia heavy?
Thanks
math checks out?
what do you mean?
I am not gonna camp outside Brunt shop waiting for RNG with a game open 24/7 lol
i have life
Shop hourly for 370+ items instead of unloading ordos at the rec shop for 99% low stat items of a single type
Lol
this is Darktide, not some weird persistent game
I mean
im not checking it hourly, fuck even the Muslims don't pray that much and they take their religion seriously
If you want to cook the best items yeag you gotta dump on brunt for greys

ah thanks Hadron. I already have Power Cycler IV + Rampage III on my current PS, is Sunder > Rampage?
Do the math to see how many hours
Its going to take
To roll 1 specific 370+ weapon
With good modifiers
In Brent's shop
How many weapons does vet have?
Sunder > rampage
Alright cool, I lucked into PC IV which means I will be waiting forever for BM IV, Sunder it is
Its better unfortunately to dump millions of ordos
Unless you want to play this game until you retire
See that's the problem, if you want 1 weapon yeah drop the bucks at the rec shop. But if you just buy every single 370+ you see whenever you're at a shop, you'll always have a base to upgrade when a weapon gets a glowup into the meta. Long term planning lol
Sure
I mean I already do that when I'm at my desk playing
That's good
Looky what Hadron made for me last night, only 1 reroll needed
just check Brunt at the beginning, mid, and end session
I used to be a Vraks III hater because the Vraks VII is dope but man this thing fucks pretty hard
Think the usual choices are Sunder vs Brutal Momentum
While I'm playing I just check all my characters shops hourly with the exchange. If some 370s show up I swap over and pick em up between missions. Ive rarely ever needed to hunt for a base, if I want to play a shotgun or something I always have 10 green/greys to fish with
yeah okay we are doing the same thing then
I wish this was on my vet (its on my zealot)
sick vraks bruh
Sunder and brutal are the best blessings. Sunder gives you more cleave and lets your swings go through bulwark shields and crushers (it stops it if hits them otherwise). Brutal is better for chaffe murdering with first target damage application to multiple one shottable targets.
The trick to loving Vraks is to start pretending it's a normal autogun or shotgun
Too many people try to adopt sniper mindset and it's just not effective like that unless you're pretty good with it
Just run it in a normal build, it is a very effective weapon
Thanks 😄
Vraks is a battle rifle
anyone got tips on doing the On Overwatch penance?
is that the 90 percent accuracy one
Don't get hit
be a massive coward and get carried by the team.
lol thanks
Play low-int malice, learn the maps and hug walls but stay away from spawn points. Aggressively shoot everything that gets near you or your team so your team can clear everything easier, if you just hide it's more likely stuff will slip through and get you. Ideally get a discord group that knows what you're doing so they can help. Just play every game like youre gonna get it even if you already failed, you'll get it eventually
For loners
Take a fast melee weapon if you do have to engage in melee
Like a catachan devil claw
thanks, i will try that
Also keep your gun out most of the time so shooters keep theirs out and don't swipe you when you turn a corner. Dodge a lot. When it comes to a hard place block and push. Run 3 stam curios so you have lots of block
good shit, thanks man
are there any known cheese strats that still work?'
saw some online, but they were pretty old
Idk I got it like 10 months ago so I dunno what works rn
yeah guess i will just keep grinding
Could also run voice of command or stealth
You can run stealth build with -threat, it will probably help. Shout would also be good to keep your shield up to tank a hit without losing, and for the knockback. Don't take exec stance
Also, works well with grenade spam
does hits on toughness count as melee dmg?
no only health
good shit
so basically if your health is in any way reduced by a melee hit you lose
but if it's only toughness dmg its fine
When I went for mine, I stacked attempts for no hit, no health loss, and 15 games in a row without going down. They all require defensive play and awareness. Losing out on 1 still lets you try for the others so a run isn't a "waste", it helps your sanity lol. Honestly going for them really helped me learn defensive skills early and made me good at the game
Oh yeah. Everybody should know how to solo a hoard without getting hit with the melee of their choice
I will say though you need to be carwful about how much you dodge
Dodge too much and you'll kill your dodge
Blocking shoving primarily I'm even working on it still
Because you can rapidly drain your dodge so fast
Yeah accurate. Another good skill to practice
vet has lowest stamina regen out of all the classes iirc
though there are two nodes on the tree that improve it
I don't remember that, buy I run max stamina regen curios
Really just don't look at it like something to cheese, just practice all the time as if you're gonna earn it even if you already took damage, you get used to playing hyper defensively and it'll pop before you know it, AND you'll be super good at the game by the end. 90% of beating aurics is just knowing how to avoid hits

are these any good
i have them on my vet
I can still salvage this by putting deadly accurate instead of falter and damage to flak instead of groaners and poxwalkers, right?
Yeah. Ranged crit dam isn't great but still a very serviceable weapon
Is it? I thought it also shortened the time before toughness starts to regen
Yes but you're a vet and you regen Toughness by killing
I used to run toughness Regen on all my curios, but I pretty much only run it on my Ogryn now. I prefer straight +% health/toughness. Or gunner/sniper res for you since you don't have any
So, you should already be regening
When I get my new vet to level 30 I’ll probably put corruption resist on everything, and.. something else I guess
Toughness Regen on curios only affects Regen from coherency, so it's not great except on Ogryn (you boost it extra with Lynchpin and it's great)
^
Health/toughness, gunner/sniper res, stam regen, and 1 corruption res are the ones I like to run on my vet curios
So basically with toughness regen on the second two curios are rather useless
At least you can still reroll the first
I couldn't say useless, it's still ok. There's just better choices overall
what should i make the two other perks on the 17 toughness one then
I want to run helbore for a bit for variety, what should I change on this one
Also I'd run 3 or 0 instances of toughness Regen, 3 is serviceable, but 1 or 2 is just a waste of slots
Sustained to onslaught, infested to maniac
How much do you block? I hardly ever block on vet so I don't really run block efficiency. So I'd roll all those to gunner resist personally, but your play style might be very different from me.
What do you run now?
Its hard to go wrong with 3x gunner res
thank ya kindly
does gunner resistance effect only the elite gunners, or does it effect the regular guardsmen with guns as well?
But stay away from combat ability reduction
Block efficiency will help block heavy hitters maulers, bosses
Only elite gunners and reapers. Not shotgunners or normies
are longshot and vanguard at all important for vet builds?
by that i mean the 20 sprint efficency and 20 ranged damage ones at the very beginning of the tree
20 ranged damage is important for breakpoints at longe range, yea
Vanguard is meh but takes you to out for blood which is super good. Longshot is incredible with the right weapons
Don't take longshot with the agri brauto for example, but on plasma or a lasgun it's great
Long shot does in theory help with any damage fall off
For reference my 9 curio perks are 3x gunner res, 2x hp, 2x stam regen, 1x sniper res and 1x corruption res.
What’s the difference between the chain axes?
is it worth going down the middle and right trees for the two 25 toughness boosts, 10 rending and 10 melee attack speed?
Depends on your build and weapons tbh
25 toughness is good
All are good with the right stuff or not worth it with the wrong stuff
i mean the melee attack speed is one away from the 25 toughness so i figure i might as well
If there's nothing better to take, take it
The rending is more important though
Unless your melee spec veteran I guess but, well
Play zealot if you want to melee build is my hot take
10% rending is a nice bonus if you're already going middle but not worth diving for it otherwise
Or better yet, Ogryn
I'm gonna say it
I’ve been only doing middle keystone so I can’t defend/offend ur point
Personally I disagree, but I respect your gumption brother
Vet is also the only especially reliable ranged class in the game, so I tend to be very biased toward any build that leans into that. I see it as Vet's "Job" to kill things at range.
But yknow I'm not your mum lads
Do as your heart desires
i have literally never spent points on a veteran keystone. they just dont seem as useful as the keystones of other classes
Only good keystone is melee build keystone
Respectfully disagree
I think the vet keystones are, at best, uninteresting
