sorry for the late reply pal, this is what i've been running lately in Damnation using folding shovels, chainaxes, and laspistols. It's a little wild because it takes movement aura and smoke grenades, but it's loaded with toughness resistances for lasting longer. The Stealth ult can either be used aggressively for the toughness refresh and resistance, or normally for typical stealth plays like revives or objectives

I run this build deliberately banking on any other vets in the party to run the ammo aura

and if there's none, then they aren't vets

they'll be fine

I have terrible luck with "normal" weapons like Autoguns and Combat Knifes, the mundane stuff. But when it comes to the weird or quirky things like Boltguns and Power Swords I have extremely good luck. (On Average, still dont have an amazing Plasma.)

Just wanted to mention because it popped into my head. The talent Get Back in the Fight! actually got indirectly buffed with the fire changes. If it's available it will make you stun and slow immune as soon as the fire breaks your toughness which could help you escape.

Well that’s the thing, I never used any plasteel or that cube currency I forgot what it’s called, since I was level 1 and now that I’m level 30 I realize that all the hoarding I was doing up until now is super minuscule for my chances at getting a great weapon

@exotic sandal kinda broke myself (started thanksgiving weekend and remade my vet), focus on being comfortable in situations and trying to get into higher difficulties. im old, slow, and prone to panic, but finally getting comfy in heresy. hell, try to do some of the penances too. im trying to enjoy the gameplay more than focus/burn myself on the slot simulator of hadron/melk
